Need information from SA pro players!

Hi, some days ago i found out there was more than one version of GTA SA so i need to know the differences between all versions so that i know wich one i own.

Also, I need to know the PC requirements to run SA in the fastest yet better gaphical mode.

San Andreas version 2 is the one you most likely get from stores. Rockstar made a version 2 to take out the controversial Hot Coffee feature but along with that, you can't mod the game. You can only mod it by using the downgrader to get it back to version 1.

I think that if you have V2, then when you start up the game and it's on the start menu, it says "V2.00" or something similiar. Version 3 is only available from either IGN's Direct2Drive service, and maybe Steam. Most shops do not sell V1 anymore - due to the Hot Coffee fiasco, the only way to get V1 is to either have the game before Hot Coffee was discovered, but online retailers such as eBay, Amazon etc. do sometimes sell V1 of the game. One way to check if you have V1 is to try to download a mod, there are many in our downloads database. Install the mod, (remember to make backups!), then test it out to see if it works. If it says V2.00 on your start menu, then you will need to downgrade if you want the ability to install modifications.

Hmm, if you want fast game I reccomend these:

The processor at least 2.8/3.2Ghz

Graphics at 128/256MB

Memory at least 1GB

Windows I reccomend Vista or XP

And you're good...

I already know how to get graphics at 256mb.

My memory is 768 MB, my processor is 2.40 GHz, how can I make them better? Thnk you

erm.. i would recommend xp only vista can be a ain in the ass... but if it is vista you crave get the 64 bit verison...

You will have to try install a mod (use SAMI for the simple way), it that not work you will have to downgrade your game to v1, because if you can't install mods you probably have v2, which can not be mod.

By the way, I was wondering what's the different between v2 and v3. I just discover today that's there a v3, can anybody tell me what it is?

HI!My friend and i play GTA SA for a long time but my friend has stuck in the mission "MADD DOGG" when Madd Dogg jumps from the building.The problem is that in his game Madd Dogg jumps before he gets th pick up truck.
