He is always using my laptop to watch pr0nz as i can see in my firefox history, and it alarms me that virus may infect my laptop because of his daily visit to various pr0n websites. any suggestions? any help would be gratefully appreciated thnx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Once the filter detects a blacklisted word, such as "XXX", "bestiality" or any other common porn terms, it will warn the user. Also has a password feature for more security. WRX22B1998 Posted November 11, 2008 Share Posted November 11, 2008 hahah...how ironic well firefox you can use the extension that huck mentioned. or if you want an across the board sorta blocking system, theres a file in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc named HOSTS. if you go into this (open with notepad) and then write in this format 127.0.0.1 www.pornthatiwanttoblock.com and repeat for whatever sites you wanna block. basically, windows will look in this file before it queries a DNS server, and 127.0.0.1 means "this computer". so it will look for domain "porniwanttoblock.com" on your machine, and your machine will be like "WTF!" and just give back a generic "page cannot be displayed error" a much easier way would be to get some sort of whitelisting program, maybe they make one that runs with firefox (extension), but they can be disabled easily afaik. the easiest way would be to put a password on your windows account, change the administrator password, and rename the administrator account Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
