MTA 0.5 Petition

Dear GTA Fans in this and other communities,

I'm writing this on behalf of all the users that play GTA 3 and GTA: VC online through the Multi Theft Auto game system, and wish to have the developers finally release an update. For a few years now, the project has been put off to the point of near cancellation. The project, currently at version 0.5, is stable, but extremely buggy and in dire need of updates to the client program and it's game server viewer. Due to Yahoo! shutting down the All-Seeing Eye Server Browser service, MTA 0.5 has suffered yet another blow, and because the MTA team is too busy working on MTA: SA, it's being completely ignored. I already know many users out there wish to see the MTA 0.6/Blue future project finally finished and released, but at this time not much progress is being made.

According to the MTA team, they have recently open-sourced some code to certain versions of their MTA programs, and we, the faithful gamers, are asking that they either release an update, or open-source the MTA 0.5 project so other community users can do so. Please, I'm begging you, sign this petition so that the MTA team truly knows that we still want it to be finished! The more signatures, the better. Even if you don't use the program/online mod, please, if you consider yourself to be a true GTA gamer, help us out...

I'm not signing it. I realise that some of you don't have GTA San Andreas on PC and play Vice City on PC instead but if you think about it GTA SA is far superior in the way of number of player and game quality. I much prefer MTA SA. I do agree that they could pay attention to MTA 0.5 much more but like I said MTA SA is far superior.

I admire that you're keen to get an update for it but there is hardly any of us how actually still play Vice City and MTA 0.5

I realise that some of you don't have GTA San Andreas on PC and play Vice City on PC instead but if you think about it GTA SA is far superior in the way of number of player and game quality. I much prefer MTA SA. I do agree that they could pay attention to VC:MP much more but like I said MTA SA is far superior.

I admire that you're keen to get an update for it but there is hardly any of us how actually still play Vice City and MTA 0.5

SA is superior because there is almost 10 times the amount of people who use it compared to MTA 0.5. If I were to ask 100 people of this forum, what they used out of "MTA SA" or "MTA 0.5", I'm pretty sure that MTA SA would have a lot more people use it.

BTW, I play Vice City heaps, why would you wanna play "Gangsta hiphop tag sprays" in the middle of Fort Carson and Area 69 (Oh Rockstar.....)

It's not that, it's the fact that MTA servers are usually much better in quality. There are more features in San Andreas than there is in Vice City such as being able to land planes on the ground and being able to take-off afterwards.

MTA SA is much rather preferred by the gangs on here too, the main gangs in January were planing for a server to be built by the Admin team, but because the gang system has basically died, the server progress has stalled.

fuck SA, rockstar should recall SA and go out to every buyers home including mine and delete it from their PC's then take the discs and burn them in 1 big lovely fire...

Still, they should make it open source. Doesn't matter. That way they can focus on developing MTA: SA and the people that want a non buggy version of MTA 0.5 can continue to make it. I don't see why they don't do it.
