Dirty Harry
So I'm reinstalling GTA SA to start MTA ing. I've reinstalled it and whenever I click to play (SA) it says "Cannot find 800x600x32 video mode". Anyone know what this is/ what I have to do to fix this shit? Btw, I dunno if I've chosen the right section if not a mod can please move this.
LDoubleU
What I think it is saying is that you pc wont support that resolution or something, not sure though...

MrLlamaLlama
Well it used to run SA perfectly before. Try and see if it works on a different resolution. He can't.. the game won't boot. Vasco, did you keep your saves and stuff from your previous install? If so, go into your user files and delete gta.set, or any file with a .set extension. That should clear it up. Also update display drivers, etc.
_Ray
Try this: Also try running in XP Compatibility mode if you're on Vista, or take your OS's Resolution and either downgrade to 16bit Color, or 640x480 Check the disc for scratches, then re-install again if all else fails. Have you even tried to reboot yet? Edited February 25, 2009 by raybob95
