nealmac
On a PS2, can I put a savefile on a PC memory stick, by plugging the stick into the USB slot on the console? I haven't tried it because I'm afraid of doing damage.
Airashii
Not sure whether it'll work, but hopefully won't damage it. You can put most USBs in and they just charge, like an iPod for instance. Wait for other replys before doing anything though.
nealmac
OK, I'll wait. I doubt it will be that simple though. The reason I want to do it is so I can e mail a save file, like you can with a PSP. If you can't do that, is there another way to put a PS2 save file on a computer so I can upload it/e mail it etc? nigger101
not email, just mail
nealmac
No. If I wanted to do that, I would have done it by now. In any case, I don't like sending my memory cards by post. Especially to a stranger that you only know from a forum. They're too expensive for that. They could get lost very easily.
Spaz The Great
My friend use to have a transfer peice for the PC, but both people would obviously need it, or the other person would simply have the save file on their PC not doing anything. His name was Pyro. I'll ask him about it when he gets online.
nealmac
Cheers mate. Much appriciated. Is the transfer piece you mean, just a standard PC memory stick? Like this: Edited September 11, 2006 by nealmac
Chris
There's some sort of Action Replay or Gameshark device that can do this sort of thing, I mean if you take a look at the PS2 pages on GameFAQs you'll see loads of PS2 saves people have uploaded... http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/save/914983.html Ah look there's SharkPort, X-Port, Codebreaker, and AR MAX saves there. I'm guessing you might need one of those devices to get a ps2 save on to your PC. Your PS2 probably won't recognise your USB device as it's only made to recognise PS2 specific things, such as the eyetoy. Plugging it in will do no harm though, or at least it shouldn't do. Spaz The Great
I was actually referring to what Chris is talking about. It's a device that you plug the memory card into, and the PC can read and download the save files.
