1. Hey guys, I recently made a cheat for San Andreas in my off time. It lets you "ride" rockets and molotovs (probably grenades and other thrown items too, I haven't tested it). It's written in ASM and I'm not finished with my trainer, so if you want to use it, you'll have to modify the memory yourself with a program like CheatEngine. Enjoy! BTW, the music is a total inside joke between my brother and I, so please don't take offense. 2. I spent four years reverse engineering PSP games, but there weren't nearly as many tools available for that as there are for the PC. I've also spent a couple years of my life studying game design and even writing my own 2D games. So when it comes to reverse engineering, I have a pretty good grasp on how to locate things and modify them to my advantage. Everything I find, I log. This enables me to map the memory and get a good idea for where I can find stuff in the future. For example, I started working on making my bullets explode like RPGs this morning, and I thought the best place to start would be to find the function that determines what type of item to throw, launch or fire. I remembered that, while looking for Rapid Fire, I found a code that made special weapons (flamethrowers, RPGs, spray paints, etc.) fire actual bullets instead of their respective types of "ammo." I started there, and much to my surprise, right above the instruction I modified to achieve that effect was a call to a function pointer. Low and behold the function pointers point to the functions for firing whatever type of ammo you're currently trying to fire. About an hour of tracing and comparing later, I made a cheat to make all weapons fire rockets. It's amazing to use on the jetpack! I'm pretty excited about this one because, theoretically, I can now make any weapon shoot any type of ammo I want. I'm going to try molotovs next! As for reverse engineering file formats, I've never been good with decryption. I'm a fan of writing my own algorithms to encrypt data, but I don't know anything about decryption. I don't find it all that interesting either. I'm better with busting open CheatEngine and staring at a game's ASM for hours on end. Don't ask me why. Edit: Got it!

 3. Ok fellas, I got mine setup after 2 plus hours of installs, all the GTAs to a PC with 500gb HDD, it's the Dell Optiplex GX620, Small Form Factor, that being it has two card slot expansion, one PCIe, one PCI I wedged my silent EAH?! HD 5450 ATI in it because I lacked a working X1300, my only other card option, other then nVidia 8600GT, already using those in ATX desktops. Ultimately I find out that the ATI and the Dell's OEM Power Supply aka PSU, are not a good combo for Episodes from LC, it crashes soon after the cutscenes take over or into the game play BEFORE the first safehouse!! BSOD on me twice! I have 3GB of RAM in an XP OS system, if you look expressly at the Episodes box, it's an X1800 or something ATI for the basic card needed, with 256MB, I set all the graphics settings low after trying them around 10 to 15, or Low, Medium. My 5450 has 1GB of VRam and still it crashed!!?? The PSU is only rated at 280watts, and I believe due to it being SFF, it's just underpowered when EfLC is so demanding. Reason being is that GTA IV actually runs on this computer without any hassle, so I wish it was optimized, they mucked it up going from 4 to Episodes! Works on this guy's platform, I'll ask him about any problems, what PSU he has; Sales video, skip to the end to see it unwrapped and setup ^ ^^^ For those with gaming laptops or desktops, GTA IV should work with higher settings, but I don't know what NASA computer you need for Ballad of Gay Tony, it seems that my plan for a 16GB DDR2 with one Gfx card, Core2Quad or something, still might run into snags, but the power supply is likely a main consideration along with powering the card Also want to use a fast HDD and ODD, as well as leave off as much software as possible, run the bare minimum AntiVirus if online GfWLive
