Anyone interested? This is actually one of the reasons we're picking up a PS3. We just played a demo of it on the 360, and it's pretty fucking cool. Looks superb, and the combat and small features are pretty enjoyable.

Fucking hell, been without internet for weeks at my parent's place, and then we move, the computer is in storage, and I have a random ass password. Luckily, I had it in a TXT on my PSP and finally found the charger for that. Now I've changed it to my universal password, and so shit's all cool now. And this apartment we are looking at is rather nice. Lot of cool shit, too, like a supplied big screen wall-mounted LCD tv. Shit is so cash.

I'm currently running an AMD Athlon 3500+.... One and a half gigs of RAM.... And fuck me as to what the GPU is, but I'm relatively certain it's no more than 256MB.... XP runs decently, and 7 runs quick.

I don't believe so much that any of them can even be half right. But as long as their intent and purpose is good, then let it be. I think that there's a decently good chance that December 21st 2012 is the day before December 22nd 2012. I also think, that there could be an even higher chance that it's the day AFTER December 20th 2012. But don't quote me on that, I could possibly be wrong.

exactly what i thought. nothing new + improved compared to PS3, actually LESS (no custom OS install), also they got rid of the touch sensitive buttons (lame) and they got rid of the shinyness!!! people say "ohh but fingerprints" i wanna know, who touches the console giving it fingerprints, there is NO need. use the playstation button to turn it on...stays shiny Oh big deal, no custom OS.... Touch sensitive buttons? What? And shiny is way over-rated.

Well, I like the way the lettering blends in instead of sticking out. Looks less gaudy that way. It isn't bland, either. It's got a nice texture on it, much like the PS2 Slim had. This one seems like they focused a little more on the design instead of flash. Shiny is over-rated, really. With the big curves of the old one, but then all the hard-edges, it just clashed. I like how this one has less of a curve to it, but more curves in other places. It's more well-rounded, I think.

Fuckin' Firefox didn't catch that, so I didn't even bother checking it.

How do you figure? The original looks like a fat rich girl who's "too good" for everyone and everything because she's "gorgeous". At least this one toned down the flashiness and took away some of the hard edges. I thought certain games did play on the PS3? From what I hear, the only difference with this one is design and power consumption. Do you think the old design isn't shit? I am having troubles grasping how people think it looks good at all. At E3 05 i was still a Sony fan-boy and I gagged when I saw it. And what was the "spellyng" comment direct at? I missed that, apparently.

Aesthetically, it's a big improvement. Smaller, less flashy, more curvy. I much prefer it. Though, I rather thought the original design was hideous.

Yes, on low-end ones, 7 is quite a bit faster, but on any high-end computer, it's about as fast as Vista is (which is just slightly slower than XP. Even faster than XP for games.). Any recent computer is better off runing Vista than XP if you'd ask me.. Just because it can run on higher-end PCs doesn't mean it's better. That just means it's a resource hog. And "recent" doesn't mean "high-end". They are still throwing out insanely low-end PCs, packaged with Vista. I've only seen one laptop in the store with XP since Vista came out. Just the fact that Windows 7 can run well on practically any system that can run XP says a lot.

I guess that's the only bad thing about slot loading drives if you really wanted it, you could like .. take apart the ps3 and get it out. in case you didnt know already, the PS3 hdd is a 2.5" similar to laptops. buy an enclosure for it, then you can back it all up to your computer and then put it back when you get the ps3 back, im sure that'd work. That and a lack of power means no getting the disk out, either.
