  1. Microsoft has managed to surpass several leaks of early screenshots and builds of Windows 7. Finally the development of the operating system will hit gold (complete) on July 13. At the moment, the software giant is busy choosing a perfect build out of many to ensure all major bugs have been fixed. On hitting the RTM phase, the build will be sent to PC Makers to test and report if any bugs remain with different hardware configurations.

It's also being said that TechNet, MSDN and partner connection subscribers will get the RTM build on July 13 or following that.

I've seen this in other sites too and a RTM version was leaked in some Warez Websites....

  2. Ubuntu is new? Ubuntu exists for years but yes, this is an awesome version, since the start I like the wobbly windows :awexd:

    Edit: I actually have Ubuntu.

  3. @Ray: According to Microsoft, service packs only appear in Windows Update 1/2 months after the release and its size will be tinier as most of the updates are including separately.

@On-topic: LOL, actually I also like somewhat the classic theme. Remembers me of the first time I upgraded from 3.1 to Windows 95 and from 98 to XP... (All using the upgrade function, never lost any data).

I was only surprised because I had seen it when I first got the PC, then installed it. But when I reinstalled the OS as SP1, it didn't reappear. And Computer>Properties tells me I'm still using SP1.

    Alternatively you could do this.
