No, it turns it into V1, which is the version you need.

I'm getting the 360 version, only because I have a 360, if I had a PS3, I'd be getting a PS3 version. They both have their pros and cons. I'm not really bothered whether the PS3 version is better or not. I'm just getting GTA IV. I wouldn't really be bothered if either didn't have multiplayer.
