  1. Check out the video for the Dilettante, it shows that there will be some kind of car show room, there is something which looks very like an Aston & a few other tasty sports cars & also suggests that there could be more import export missions.
  2. One thing i'm a little confused about, is the inhabitation of buildings. First up I heard that not all buildings will be accessible, but those that are will have fully explorable interiors. Now that it sounds more like most buildings will be accessible, but only partialy.
  3. That's always been their style of humour, as the game games get more realistic they find more & more ways to take the piss.
  4. I'm not great at naming all the models but let me help you out.
  5. I really don't care if R* deliver the game late, when they are so dedicated to producing a game with such amazing features & details. They really have upped the steaks for this one & I think once again R* are going to set another president for other games manufacturers to follow.
  6. I think R* have had a pretty good ear, when selecting their soundtracks. They have had a tough job pleasing everyone as GTA fans collectively, have a wide range of musical tastes, but after what they pulled off with the VC soundtrack, I have faith that they can pull something special out of the bag this time round.
  7. Apparently ped vehicles will now indicate, which should make slinking through the traffic that bit easier.
  8. Nope, it's already been confirmed that physique and hairstyle won't be customizable. And even though you can only see the back of his head, he doesn't really look like Niko. BTW Chris, you misspelled Gamespy in the title. I don't remember R* saying anything about hairstyle. IMO it does look like Niko, the side of his face is similar. Also if it's taken from the cut scene where Roman introduces Niko to his 'Palace', it should be Niko in this particular pic. It does seem that his hair is at different lengths in different shots.
  9. Obviously in the case of SA, R* were more than a little inspired by the popularity of 'The Fast & the Furious' & the resulting games. But even with features like N20 & warp speed style visuals, I am yet to feel as exhilirated whilst racing around a GTA map as I have whilst playing any of the Burnout titles. Of course I'm not saying that the Burnout series is a patch on the GTA back catalogue, but R* have yet to leave me sat in a pool of my own sweat, struggling for breathe & my heart beating like a drum somewhere on the floor in front of me. I don't know what it is about GTA games but the driving system has never felt all that rewarding. Perhaps it's because the ped drivers are such unpredictable maniacs, that any seemingly nice manouvres come about more often from luck than by judgement. I found it a great shame that the thought of replaying racing side missions & improving my personal best left me cold, when It could have been a great excuse to keep comming back to San Andreas. So my fingers are firmly crossed that, the new physics, improved detail & AI will help make the racing/chase sections of the game just that bit more enthraling than in previous incarnations. I know that R* have never claimed to be making a racing title, but they have always tried to assimilate features from other genres for the betterment of the GTA experience & I feel that the inclussion of improved racing is one of those steps that really would put the icing on the cake.
  10. I did not know that, that song has GTA written all over it, was hoping it might be in the new game.
  11. It's obvious that he was refering to DLC, it would be a total rip off for PS3 owners otherwise. I'm glad that fans of the game picked up on that little bending of the truth, because left unchallenged that could have screwed over Playstaion big time.
  12. Nice! The artwork gets better & better with each new title.
  13. How bout most of the map? There was far too much countryside, which granted added to the realism & was proportionate to the scale of the cities, but it wasn't as fun a playground as the urban settings. What R* have done is spot on, focusing on quality & not quantity, I'd take a smaller city that I can really interact with over a huge sparse map any day.
  14. Maybe this is a sign as to how Playstation are going to rival Xbox's downladable content.
  15. Well R* said they were going to take things to the next level, I guess this could be one of the many ways they plan to do this.
  16. They are saying that despite the April/May release period being a popular time to buy the game, it will still be selling very well come christmas.
  17. What I can't get my head round is how GTA is targeted because of the criminal acts it allows players to carry out. The worst of all these atrocities of course being Murder & occasionally the odd count of Mass Murder. But the fact is that R* arn't the pioneeers of in game homicide, far from it, there are a multitude of games which allow gamers young & old to either satisfy their blood lust or to simply carry out misdemeanors. Long before the GTA Franchise, R*or even the Playstation, had come into existance, overzealous children were firing replica hand guns in order to kill other living creatures in the Nintendo game Duck Hunt. The majority of whom probably would have failed to provide either a valid hunting or fire arms license when asked, but still no law suits. So maybe the graphics back then were a little crude & shooting up livestock isn't quite the same as taking another man's life, but I'm pretty sure that when playing Goldeneye on the N64 most people knew what they were doing as they offed clueless foot soldiers in full 3D glory. Perhaps JT would have taken issue with this game, were it not for Bond's license to kill?
  18. Well that's dashed any hopes of 'Hot Coffee part II'
  19. I think a youtube style website would be good, you could upload & view all your best stunts, chases & shootouts.
  20. I can appreciate, that they are totaly different genres of game & I'm not saying that the comparison is a good or a bad thing What I am getting at is the fact that GTA IV is going to have it's own internet, phone networks, cash machines & you're character is going to have a whole social life that you will need to manage. That's more than some WOW players do in the real world. I'm all for realism in GTA & can't wait to try out all these new features, but I am genuinely curious about the length of the game & the replayability factor, especially when there is downloadable content to take into account too.
  21. From the information R* have given us, it sounds as if GTA IV is going to be an unbelievably immersive experience & with the multiple paths that you can take, the replay-ability will keep us comming back for more. I'm just wondering with all the depth that this game is speculated to have, will it become as life consuming as games like World Of Warcraft?
  22. That will be a feature, all the police cars will have on board computers for you to look up details on targets. I think I heard that there will be a dating website, I think something like ebay would be sweet so that instead of scowering the map for a particular item you can save time by bidding for it.
  23. I think you're talking about indicators. I've wanted them for a while, because I hate being cut up when other drivers randomely vear across the road.
  24. I'm pretty sure that sumwhere on here I asked for a functioning Hospital & Prison, from what the articles have told us it would seem that there is some degree of access to a hospital & they will offer the mission that I requested too! (Where you break/sneak in & finish off the job). It looks as if you can actually be arrested as opposed to just getting shot by police, so maybe there will be a prison that you have to serve time in.
  25. This doesn't really tell us much, just that Niko checks his mirror before manouvering. Although it would be a nice touch if Niko were to react to ped & police activity in the game. Instead of always looking dead ahead when either driving or walking, things should grab his attention as he passes them by. When he hears a police siren he could look over his shoulder just to check that they're not after him & maybe stare them down to make sure they keep driving.
