  1. It seems as though news & information concerning GTA IV is starting to hit a dead end & we are now simply hearing the same details paraphrased in different articles. R* have outlined the fundamentals & given us a pretty delicious taste of what's to come, so do we really need to find out any more before the games release? If so, what kind of deatails are you still hungry for? Or perhaps you may think we are now being more greedy than curious & believe that too much information will only dampen the gaming experience. My own feeling is that I've heard enough & I'm not going to go hunting for new details or news, although some in game footage would be nice & if it were to be laid on a plate in front of me, there is no way that I can say no.
  2. Sorry man I'm not buying what your selling. The "Goodies" look incredibly fake, some dude has googled those logos, cut them out & banged them straight on that photo. Perhaps if they had put a little bit of work into it & worked on their spelling & grammar, they might just have begun to convince me. Pity the fool.
  3. First up, let me just say, that I've never played Saints Row, so I am going on screens & demos that I have seen & am not making any statement about the gameplay or features. However from the small glimpses that I have had into the Saints Row world, it does seem rather hollow and desolate in comparison to the GTA environments. Even looking back to GTA III & VC when the graphics were a lot more basic, the settings looked like places you wanted to explore & emerse yourself in, locations had a heartbeat or a vibe giving them that extra bit of atmosphere. Well done to R* for getting it right all those times, I think with the power of the next gen filling the cities with hussle & bussle will reach a peak.
  4. I'm still leaning towards PS3 so most of that is good news.
  5. I'm going to get myself a tasty ride, pick up the cheapest looking hooker I can find & really put Euphoria to the test. Just kidding, I will probably go for the friendly drive, dent another motorists vehicle, become embroiled in some manner of road rage, then end up having to remove my nine iron from some mouthy gits skull & then make tracks before the 5-0 get on the scene. That would be righteous.
  6. A worrying number of people said maybe about the humping the mum thing You realise that's probably the most laws you can break at once & that makes Jack Thompson cry. If the game or console brokedown I would be pretty kool about it. When I first got SA i managed to kick my PS2 (with SA spinning inside) off my bed & seriously f***ed the disk. So I did the right thing & returned to the store claiming that I had no idea why the game wouldn't let me continue past San Fiero & suggesting that perhaps these mystery scratches might be to blame. They (store guys) promptly sorted me out with a fresh copy...sweet... ...& that's why I'm never going to fly off the handle at staff in game stores.
  7. I think the freedom to kill your contacts will give the game so many possible outcomes. I thing it's a great feature, especially as Roman has such an annoying face..."This is the mansion?!" Click-Click...BOOM!
  8. Wow he must have had a really small role in The Departed, cause I would have remembered a face as distinctive as his. I hope they have some really good voice talent in GTA IV, cos James Woods & Samuel L were awesome names to bring in for SA.
  9. Well if police bikes are taken out in the name of realism, I think mounted police should be added, would be cool to see them patroling Liberty City's version of Central Park. But I suppose the brings up the whole issue of cruelty to animals in the game, same reasons they won't put polce dogs in I guess.
  10. They are also great fun to bully when you're in a car. I'm wondering if it's just that there aren't really those kinds of units in New York in real life, maybe they will have those bicycle cops instead.
  11. Has any one else noticed that with all of the screen shots & reviews there has been no mention or sign of cops on bikes? I don't know if it's because it's not a new developement like it was in SA or it's part of R*'s streamlining process, but I will be pretty disappointed if they don't make a return. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I would rather be wrong about this to be honest.
  12. I'm glad they will allow you to resist arrest now, it was extremely annoying how easily cops could bust you. Would be cool if they actually handcuffed you, that way if you leave it too late to struggle free you will have to run off with your hands cuffed behind ur back.
  13. I really want to see some gameplay footage, not that I don't trust R*, but I want to see that there is atmosphere & goings on in the city outside of missions & cutscenes. We've seen loads of screenshots & 3 trailers but, I'm really just curious to see Niko walking around the city.
  14. There is more to life than being the richest guy in your town. I know this, but I like the idea of being able to change your circumstances, finding alternative ways to make money & buying bigger properties for keeping all of your rare & expensive vehicles in. I also like having a few bases of operations scattered around the map. This change has made me curious though, I am now wondering what you will be spending your money on in the later stages of the game, as there will not be the same opportunity for large investments as in some of the past titles.
  15. I fR* have catagoricly denied that their will be seasonal changes, I would have to believe them. Look how proud they are of all the new features that they are introducing, with something as fundamental as the changing of the seasons, I believe we would have seen conclusive evidence & heard detailed reports on it. I know R* won't to maintain an airr of mystery before the games release, but there is no way they could sit on something like that for this long.
  16. Jesus Christ, how stupid do EA think Take-Two are? They would be idiots to sell moments before dropping their biggest title of the year. EA have nothing to offer R* in terms of the developement of GTA so I would be pleased to see them jump ship if Take-Two were taken over.
  17. I have to say in terms of the storyline, knowing that building a business empire is an impossibility, I do feel rather let down. I know the rags to riches theme & business acquisitions have been done in past titles, but I wanted to be a kingpin in an even better city, where it would mean more to be on top. I kind of feel that there is no target to aim for /7 not too much to aspire to.
  18. That's what you get when you try to use the high courts to settle petty personal grudges. I think it would be AMAZING, if his little crusade cost him his right to practice law. I hope he loses his job & in turn his home, forcing him to turn to a life of crime, until he is eventually busted for none other than carjacking. Then in some God forsaken prison shower he ends up getting his back door kicked in by a bunch of psychopaths, who have never heard of, let alone played a copy of GTA. That my friends would set a new benchmark for Irony.
  19. If R* are smart (as I think they are) they won't touch the subject of the twin towers with a barge pole. For the sake of realism I'm sure they have tried to include as many of the remaining buildings from the surrounding area.
  20. Maybe the posters were an ingenius publicity scam, that R* hoped would be spread by GTA fans? That would be damned clever of them.
  21. Not at all man, I was just clarifying.
  22. I don't think it will be for sustinance this time. Instead it will probably be one of the locations for social meetings with friends & associates, like the Bars & Strip joints. It will most likely be the safe option for when you don't want to leave the meeting totaly wrecked. It could also be handy for dating, as it sounds like Girlfriends will be making a return.
  23. I'm not complaining about the visuals, I think they look great, I just think that in comparison to the other cars in the lot, the Comet looks as if it's from another game. Bearing in mind what R* have said about realism, most up to date Porsches have a slightly sleeker look, which I don't think has been captured as well as some of the other models in the game.
  24. I spotted the Aston, I'm really pleased that they managed to get away with such a similar reproduction, I'm a little disappointed by the front end of the 911, I think is looks a little cartoonish & some of the features just a little too exagerated, but maybe it will grow on me.
  25. I still think that Chrysler looking one could be a Roller. Regarde!...
