yeah i know. it does say that the content is exclusive to the 360, but i just wouldn't throw any (for lack of a better word) hope out the window. stranger things have happened...

forgetting about the exclusive downloadable crap fro a second, and not thinking about any games at all, which would anyone suggest buying. (note: still, dont turn it into a war!) on another note, i bet that maybe a year or two after the downloadable xbox stuff is out, it'll be available to the ps3. it just doesnt seem right. i mean, look what happened with the two psp gta's. they were both "exclusive". for a while. i just wouldn't make the decision on the content alone.

so what time is that in australia? its already the 28th over here... we're gmt+10 or something like that...

What i wanna know is, when R* said that they were dead, did that just mean they consider those charaters "dead" to the story line? it seems to me that those characters are pointless in GTAIV, but they dont have to ALL be actually dead...

for those who don't know, GTA Advance was a GameBoy Advance game released around the same time as San Andreas.

in my opinion, there are 3 banners that need an update. first, the forums banner. it needs a newer look. i'd swap the tommy on a bike with niko on a bike firstly, then maybe the background. second, the main gtaplace banner is a bit old. it needs all the "main" gta game characters (including tony, vic, and niko.). third, maybe the gtaIV banner. it still has the cityscape. why not use the cityscape from the official website? just my opinion.

yeah. i'm in aus and i pre-ordered about 6 months ago. i just wanna know that when it says it comes in a special packaging, does that just mean the box art will be a little different, or will the whole box be new?

holy shit! i read this the other day, and i'm playing sa now and it just happened. i was in the middle of nowhere and i caught fire. 6 times! wtf?

i was just playing san andreas with the flying cars cheat on, the cars fly away cheat, and the all cars have nitros cheat. i managed to get into a car that was "flying away" and i took off like a rocket. somehow when you're in one of these, the height you go isnt restricted, so with the nitros on, pedal to the metal i quickly flew right off the map. i got bored and jumped out and it literally took me (yes, i timed it) 4 and a half minutes to reach the ground. i got a small video of it on my camera, which can be viewed here.

gta III all the way man! he was alright on th later ones (hehe "fuck me harder"), but the fernando part in chatterbox... Brilliant! and reed tucker. picking on the kung-fu git. love it! i got my dad to listen to chatterbox and he loved it. (he was 48 at the time...)

yeah. fully winged plane. more of that damn tunnel to nowhere. able to get to the observatory. (the reason for the black cop cars and the clipped dodo was because of all the 911 stuff. they didnt want it to really look like nyc (blue cop cars), and they didne want peeps re-enacting the plane crashes... apart from them, i say they shouldnt have given the mafia shotguns. 2 hits with that going around st marks in the later game and you're dead. grrr.

the yakuza stinger is good, cause its fast; i like the cartel cruiser cause its cool, but the mafia sentinal is prestige, fast enough, and enjoyable to drive (or control, if you will). ((and black, because all cars look better in black.))

ORIGINAL POST: i had all three gta games on my pc for ages, and they all worked great. for some reason now, none of them will open. i click on them, and they start to run (according to the task manager) but then nothing happens. my computer is new, with no viruses or anything else. it just seems weird for all three games to just stop working... all my other games work (sims, star wars games and so on..), but none of the gta's. wtf? any ideas anyone? EDIT: uninstalled all of them, and reinstalled SA. still wont work.

hey man. some advice for the vehicle missions. Doing the vigilante in a hunter really helps... As for the paramedic and firefighting missions, i find that starting off in el quebrados (tierra robada) is the best. that way all the patients/fires are within the town, or not far away in nearby towns. and there's not much traffic or hard turns. i used chris's (thegtaplace) checklist for mine. worked great. if you have the brady games book/walkthrough thing, that helps. you dont need to do the unique jumps, unlike all the other gta's. i'm not sure about the burglar missions either. i did them, but it didnt do anything to my percentage, or anything else, for that matter... hope that helps you some. keep your friends close..... cheers. rowie.

hey man. yeah. the car colours not changing when they blow up is because you're using sa 1.0. there is a patch available online that fixes this and some other bugs, but if you're one of those peeps who likes using the hot coffee mod (and i'm not saying thats a bad thing...) then the patch disables it completely.
