Yeah I think sending out an email to 50000 people isn't really a good idea. Most people won't bother to read it, some will see it as spam. Probably end up doing more harm than good. What Jace said is right. Forums in general are way less popular than they used to be. Internet culture has changed a lot in the past few years. I used to be active on quite a few forums years ago that were relevant to my interests at the time. Now, TGTAP is the only one I still visit (obviously) and actually care about. If I care enough to comment on something else that interests me I'll take it to Twitter and/or Facebook where I know I have friends who will comment or be interested in it themselves. I wouldn't even think to look for a forum to join on whatever subject it was about. BlackListedB, we (and other GTA sites) have experimented with the idea of branded merchandise and apparel but too few people are interested in buying and using/wearing stuff to make it worthwhile, so no one really bothered with it. I think these days it would be even worse actually. People expect that kinda stuff to be given out for free since it so regularly is by internet companies, that's not really something we can afford to do. SlickVic, first of all, we and other sites know from experience that re-designs never really do much to increase activity unless you bring in a load of new features to the site at the same time. The GTA related stuff you mentioned would be cool but it's a bit of a catch-22 because we would need enough members here in the first place to get it going so that other users would see it, and think to themselves that it's cool or whatever and wanna join in. When you do that kinda thing with just a few members, anyone observing is unlikely to be interested. Having said that, if you or anyone is genuinely interested in getting a 'gang' together to play those games then by all means go for it, there's nothing stopping you. If it's something that does begin to show signs of getting popular we can try and promote it around other parts of the forum so more members see it, or even on the main site as well. Contests and stuff are always good. In fact we will be holding a competition for members to win a copy of GTA V. We're planning to start it when the release date is announced though so we can organise it within a specific time frame. Our intentions are to have a couple of winners from our Facebook and Twitter pages in addition to one (or maybe more, depending on my budget at the time) from the forums. If anyone has any ideas on what exactly the contest should be then let us know. We know that activity is going to increase whenever more GTA V information and media comes forth, that's pretty much a given. The challenge is making the members want to stay even when interest dies down. With the crews feature that will be in GTA V and presumably (and hopefully) massively improved multiplayer modes, I think we can definitely make the forums a place for crews to organise themselves and when they are gonna play together online, since the Social Club doesn't really have a way for people to adequately plan and discuss what they want to do. This could also lead to an increased interest in legacy titles like SAMP and MTA with players who don't buy GTA V immediately. So we'll see how that goes.

Yeah that was his last username here. You, uh, sure about that? Um... which part? I think the "most" qualifies the first part, if you meant that part about third chances... well... heavily dependent on the person and how I view them. BTW was that the infamous MGilb or whatever his name is, that you're talking about. Posting pics of his cock and stuff. And what else was it just random porn and gore or shit like that? Heh... wonder what happened to him...

Back in July we reported on Grand Theft Auto III coming to the PSN store as a PS2 classic. That release got pushed back due to some licensing issues around certain music in the game, however, the US PlayStation Blog has confirmed today that GTA III will finally be arriving on the US PSN store tomorrow, 25th September, and will set you back $9.99. Currently there's no word on availability or pricing in other regions; Europe, Asia and elsewhere may also see it tomorrow, or we may have to wait another week or so. Having said that, last week PlayStation Asia had a page up on their site for GTA III which did specify the 25th September release date for that region as well, but the page was later taken offline. The fact this was even published could indicate a worldwide release was planned, or could have simply been some misinformation that was mistakenly put online. As we mentioned before, GTA III is being released as a PS2 classic - a direct, no-frills port of the original PS2 version. Unfortunately this means no remastered HD graphics, and no trophies, but hopefully the lack of such additions won't put you off replaying this amazing game. Some of you may now be wondering if Vice City and San Andreas will also be re-released on the PS3. Back in June, ESRB ratings were spotted for both GTA III and Vice City, but so far only GTA III has been talked about. It's worth pointing out that the 10 year anniversary of Vice City is coming up in just over a month, so it's plausible that Rockstar may re-release the game then to coincide with that. As a sidenote, there's been absolutely no talk of a mobile version of Vice City for iOS and Android coming out for it's 10th anniversary à la GTA III's last year. As for San Andreas on PS3, there's been no talk of that either. Let us know in the comments if you plan on getting this game again, and if you do, get ready for a lot of nostalgia.

Does anyone else see the irony in how every time one of these topics get posted it actually gets a decent amount of responses? Lol. OGTAM was banned years ago for constantly disrespecting staff. Actually it wasn't constant, but he did it enough times to get noticed by pretty much every moderator at that time, and after enough times we simply decided to ban him. If he came back now I'd let him back. People change a lot over the years. I'd give him a second chance, if I saw no change then obviously I'd just ban again. I'm willing to give most people a second chance, but there are no third chances. As Llama said, most of us would love to spend a lot more time here but we simply don't have as much time to do so as we did before. I think ALL of old members are now of the age where they have full-time jobs or are busy getting educated etc. And as these members moved on and spent less time here, we, for a variety of reasons, weren't able to keep up the activity by enticing new members to join, so there were no replacements and activity died down to what it is today. GTA V will increase activity no doubt about it, we'll have to work at enticing everyone to stay here. Needs an effort on everyone's part though. People make the community, not what features we do or don't have.

Definitely inspired by Lamborghini. I think amazingdude was right, most likely the Murcielago is the closest real-life counterpart.

Yeah this is sad. Such a talented man. If I was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer and had the kind of money he has, I would simply try to get as much experimental treatment as possible. Then, even if it didn't work, at least it would in some way help doctors/scientists in understanding why it didn't work and help them to come up with a different procedure/medicine which might have a better chance at succeeding. Also, it's pretty sad that euthanasia is still illegal in most countries. My guess is that he commit suicide because he didn't want to end up in constant pain and get to a point where he couldn't do anything about it. At least in this case he was able to end things on his terms while he was fully capable to do so. But yeah, very sad. He made some great films. I hope Ridley continues to direct.

That will definitely be possible. And as a genuine tennis fan I am also looking very forward to doing that

I would say it's begun

As promised, Rockstar have released more screenshots today, this time regarding leisure activities. Take a look! See more in our GTAV screenshot gallery. Once again the official website has 3 more blank spaces ready for more screenshots, one would assume these will be released on Friday.
-
The car is still the Cheetah, like in previous games. The H is obscured by the reflection of the sun I think. If you look at the letter spacing it seems the H would appear right in that bright part.

Rockstar have just released three new GTA V screenshots, with "more to come this week". These shots show three very different modes of transport. See more GTA V Screenshots in our gallery. And to make sure you find out the latest news fast, like us on Facebook and follow our Twitter account.

Just download the torrent version, leave it on overnight or something.

The GTA IV: San Andreas team have released a new beta of their awesome total conversion mod that brings the world of San Andreas into GTA IV using the powerful RAGE engine. Beta 3 adds a whole host of improvements, fixes, and features. Probably best summed up by the team themselves. Watch the launch trailer below. You can find out more about the mod on their official site where you'll also find download links. Be sure to join us and thousands of other GTA fans in our forums and let us know what you think!

Back in January we heard that Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City would be coming to the PS3 in the form of PS2 Classics on PSN. And today, the official PlayStation Blogcast has confirmed that GTA III at least will be arriving on the PlayStation Store this Tuesday, 31st July. The game will be released as a "PS2 Classic", which unfortunately means it's simply a direct port of the PS2 version of the game. So sadly there will be no fancy remastered HD graphics or trophies that many of you were hoping for. The game will set you back $9.99 in the US. No word on availability in other regions yet. We'll update if we find any information on that. UPDATE: Looks like the release won't happen this week.

Claudia, try this one.

Oh, fair point. Last time I tried the non-Steam version would have been on XP I think. In that case, could be a combination of both OS and non-Steam version. Anyone have alternative trainer recommendations?
-
I think it almost certainly is. The trainer worked flawlessly with the 1.1 patch. The steam version is patched on top of this. Needs to be downgraded to 1.1 for the trainer to work I believe. Which is difficult because I'm not aware of a downgrader anywhere. Manually doing it may not work due to Steam recognising it as out of date and subsequently auto-updating and overwriting it again.

No. People who do shit like this are fucking mental. Literally. /thread

Haven't played VC on PC for years but I can't say I ever noticed MP3's being played at a bad quality. I would have thought the game played the file directly and as such it would sound exactly the same as when played in any normal media player. What bitrate are your MP3s? By the way, you can't simply re-encode your MP3s to a higher bitrate, that won't improve the quality. You'll need original source files. So if you actually ripped them off a CD then you'll need to do that again. Or from a lossless format such as WAV or FLAC.

Still not got any GTA games on your PC? Well, good news, today's daily deals in the Steam Summer Sale include the entire Grand Theft Auto Collection, with every game featuring a 75% discount. Furthermore, the already discounted complete package has an additional 75% off. This means you can legitimately own all the PC GTA games for just £4.99 ($12.49 / 7,49€). That is an incredible deal! The Steam Summer Sale is probably the greatest wallet-emptying experience for a PC gamer, but at this price, come on, it's not even gonna put a dent in it! At the time of posting this article you have just over 35 hours to take advantage of the deal.

It'll run it but it won't be that smooth. Upgrade it to a 64bit version of Windows 7 and buy a new graphics card and it'll be much better. That video card is at a low-end model and you're gonna have to use very low settings to be able to play IV smoothly. You need a High End GPU to play smoothly. Preferably one with a score of at least 2000 on that chart if you can afford it. 4GB of RAM will probably be enough.
