  1. Yeah a lot. But consider that it doesn't have to load as much stuff as IV does since it's not an open world game. Secondly, R* had incredibly powerful computers there. That said, I still expect it would run smoother than IV no matter what system you have, as long as it meets the requirements.
  2. I'll have to clarify this, but I THINK it's a bit of both. I think it gradually fills up while you're in a combat situation. So for example if you're hiding in cover while guys are shooting at you, it'll gradually fill up. I'm not 100% on this though, I'll try and find out for sure. Probably killing enemies increases it faster either way though.
  3. Hard to say really because I died a lot. But I didn't even mind, I loved playing the game so much that it was great to try the part again. I'd say they are a decent length though, they're not over too quick, but they're not frustratingly long either. Sorry to be so vague but that's the only way I can describe it really, actually have no idea how long we were playing for.
  4. A couple of weeks ago, me and a number of other webmasters were invited to New York City to experience Rockstar's upcoming masterpiece, Max Payne 3. I've written up an article detailing the happenings at the event, as well as my hands-on impressions of the game. I've tried to keep mission/story/multiplayer details as general and vague as possible, so I don't spoil much for you. If you have any questions feel free to ask here in the forums, I'll do my best to answer what I can, if I can. Read my impressions: Max Payne 3 Fansite Event Hands-on Impressions I should also point out that two of our staff members were also at the event: Gerard, who runs Grand Theft Wiki - you can read his review of the game here rockstarrem, who runs our Max Payne sister site Payne Killers - you can see his thoughts over there
  5. Here you go. Remember to always make backups of any files you modify. With skins, you shouldn't ever need to modify the defaults, you can just make a copy and edit that. player.bmp

    Youtube?

I do but I don't really use it for my own videos since I don't have anything worth showing. I mainly use it to subscribe to a few channels I'm interested in. Seeing this thread reminded me to uploaded my old Vice City stunt videos, they're quite shit since they're like 8 years old now (seriously) and were made before stunting became a popular thing to do. So all the cool tricks and locations weren't known yet. I have a few other random vids on there too, so yeah, I'm probably not worth subscribing to, but if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/user/chrisjp88/videos
  7. Sorry but this seems rather gimmicky. In the past we've had similar systems involving forum points or whatever with various GTA related items you can buy as a kind of status symbol. It doesn't bring "huge benefits" as you say - It tends to encourage spam among people who actually care about fake internet points, and everyone else just doesn't care. We'd rather have people posting here because they enjoy doing so and find the content useful and informative, and ideally have something worthwhile to contribute back themselves.
  8. Did you actually make those skins yourself?
  9. Rockstar have today revealed a little more about the multiplayer aspect of their upcoming blockbuster sequel Max Payne 3. One of the big new features in multiplayer is the introduction of Crews. Rockstar's Dan Houser recently sat down with IGN to talk about this new feature. I bolded the important part there, across titles. Yep, that means Crews you create in Max Payne 3 will be usable in other R* games, including Grand Theft Auto V. Below is a larger excerpt from the interview which explains in more detail how Crews will work, and how they will carry over to future titles: You can read the full interview over at IGN.
  10. McAfee is a load of shit. Thanks for bringing this to my attention though. But as Gerard said they're all false positives, nothing to worry about. Showing just how outdated and obsolete McAfee is, you can see they think we are located in the US. We are not, and have not been for about 5 years now. The file checks all seem to be several years old, I can't believe they use such old data like this, especially given what a tiny percentage of total files this represents.
  11. That's actually the ad pushing the width out. I actually had no idea Android worked on such low resolution devices. In fact I wasn't even aware they were still made lol. I'll see if I can do anything but really I think there will be more problems with the content at such a small resolution, can't really do anything about that without compromising the site for other users too much.
  12. No worries. I've removed the one in the wrong category. In the future, just PM me, I can simply change the category from the admin panel. In the coming weeks/months you'll be able to do this yourself
  13. 1. restricted is for members who have repeatedly broken rules but not done anything serious enough for us to warrant (or care, for that matter) banning them. They lose most privileges and any posts they make must first be approved by a staff member before they are shown on the forum. Site admin is a now defunct group in which a few members were placed to distinguish them from forum staff. Site admins would write news and/or content for the website but not handle any moderation tasks on the forums. 2. It's your rating. If you go to other users' profiles you'll see these stars and if you hover over them (and click) you'll add to their rating. Nobody cares about this, few use it. 3. It's your reputation. IPB 3.0 introduced a reputation feature whereby you could upvote or downvote users' posts rather like you would on sites like Reddit. In 3.1 the default behaviour changed to something more similar to Facebook where you can simply choose to Like a post (in the bottom right corner of every post). This adds 1 to your reputation. If you get it high enough you will see ranks other than "Neutral".
  14. Thanks for this, I'll have to look into that Opera Mini, seems there's some alignment issues with the game icons too. Did the ad display on the other browsers? Since your phone is rooted maybe you have a hosts file blocking popular ad servers?
  15. Ha! I totally had nothing to do with this. I'm just pleasantly surprised to see you back, besides, it's a total sausagefest around here, I'm pretty sure no one will even notice you
  16. Oh good, a female human. This should increase forum activity for sure! Welcome back btw, cool pic
  17. Rockstar have released a minor update to GTA III: 10th Anniversary Edition for iOS. The update is said to offer stability improvements thanks to some optimised memory usage, noticeable when running on the iPad 1 and iPhone 4. It also includes "various bug fixes", although Rockstar have chosen not to elaborate on what exactly has been fixed. Let us know in the comments if this fixes problems you were having with the game on your device! Check for updates to your apps on your device or through iTunes to download.
  18. It shouldn't scare you. It exists so we have a way to tell members when they have done wrong, and so that they (and the moderators) can see this. It can, but we only decrease it in case of when it's been wrongly increased. Yes, although usually if your behaviour on the forum is that bad you'll probably get banned before it reaches 100% As I said above, we only decrease in the event a moderator accidentally increases it. This is very rare and usually down either to mistaken identity or simply by clicking on on the wrong person and not realising. It serves as a record of your past behaviour on the forums and may be taken into account regarding future decisions (such as additional warnings).
  19. I've approved your mods. Although I'm fairly sure they already exist in our database from other authors...
  20. Yes, we think what we have is sufficient at the moment. Somewhat ironically we don't have that large a modding community here, in terms of content creators, so having 6 dedicated sections like that would split up the content too much. Of course if things change we'll take these suggestions into consideration again.
  21. LOL. Wow you really don't get sarcasm do you? You don't realise what you are saying? Can't you see how obvious it is that Max Payne 3 will definitely 100% be released before GTA V? Of course it will be. There is no other possibility. As you just pointed out, GTA V has no release date yet and MP3 has been in development for far longer. I don't understand why you are using phrases like "most likely" - implying there is a chance Rockstar might suddenly stop developing GTA V and just release it right now, no marketing, no advertising, nothing. No, that wouldn't ever happen. Also stop replying to Russian spam bots topics with posts like "spammer". This just contributes to the spam and makes it more visible. Just report it like everyone else. Fuck. I need a drink.
