Rockstar have today released yet another free update for GTA Online, which celebrated its 1st anniversary yesterday. The Last Team Standing update adds 10 Last Team Standing jobs and also opens up the LTS creator mode allowing you to make your own. Other additions include new high powered weaponry featuring a Heavy Shotgun and Marksman Rifle, and three new vehicles; two motorcycles and the Furore GT. Finally, there's also some new outfits and stuff to equip your character with. As with other recent title updates, patch 1.17 also fixes a ton of issues.

Check out the full details of this update over on the Rockstar Newswire.

  2. Marking GTA V's first anniversary this 17th of September, Rockstar have released a ton of official artworks as wallpapers, 27 to be exact. Many date back a good few months from when they were first used as promotional artwork for the free DLCs that have been released, while others show characters from the game's supporting cast.

There's also one brand new piece of artwork featuring Michael, Franklin and Trevor, and an one of the Hollywood starlet recently used by Rockstar to announce the release dates of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of GTA V.

Check out these and the 25 other high resolution wallpapers on our GTA V Artwork page, where you'll also find links to download from Rockstar's site in many different resolutions for whatever device you might want them for.

  3. Rockstar have just revealed that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on 18th November, 2014, while the PC version will follow later on 27th January, 2015.

All three versions will feature a few upgrades and technical enhancements over their PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts. A summary of what you can expect is as follows:

    • Greater draw distance and higher resolution
    • New weapons, vehicles and activities
    • Additional wildlife
    • Denser traffic
    • New foliage system
    • Enhanced damage and weather effects
    • Over 100 new songs and DJ mixes on the radio stations
Rockstar have also said there will be new exclusive content to find within the game.

A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.

GTA Online has also had some improvements. The new versions will be able to hold up to 30 players per server, and will contain all the free DLC and bonus content that has been released on the PS3/360 versions so far. And, if you're upgrading from PS3 or 360, you'll be able to transfer your progress to your PS4, Xbox One or PC version of GTA Online - to do that, see rockstargames.com/V/bonuscontent.

Finally, Rockstar has shown off 16 new screenshots taken from the PS4 version of the game at 1080p. Enjoy.

  4. We are sad to report that Fernando Agapito Jr., better known in the GTA community by his alias Yeardley Diamond, passed away from cardiac arrest two weeks ago. The news was broken yesterday in a Facebook post made by his brother. He was just 28 years old. Our condolences go out to the Agapito family, his friends, and his fans.

Yeardley rose to fame in the GTA community with his highly entertaining videos made in GTA IV, a number of which we featured here in the past. We'd like to end this post remembering a few of what may be his most well known works, including remakes of Korean superstar Psy's "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" hit songs, and of course he didn't want Niko to miss out on doing the Harlem Shake.

You can watch Yeardley's full set of works on his YouTube channel.

Rockstar have released yet another surprise free DLC in the latest 1.16 update patch for GTA Online. This update includes a whole host of general improvements including:

all Contact Mission GTA$ and RP awards have been rebalanced so that more difficult missions will earn you greater rewards, GTA$ payouts on replays are no longer reduced and all rewards are now time scaled.

But the main new feature in this update is the addition of the San Andreas Flight School.

Grab the stick of the fast and nimble Western Besra training jet and push it to the edge of the envelope. Master absolute air superiority in 10 new solo missions that will make you comfortable in any pilot’s danger zone, including combat maneuvering, low-flying challenges, formation flying and more.

    actual_1408442011.jpg

Once it’s ‘mission accomplished’ and you’re out of your heroic new Flight Suit, spend your shore leave buzzing the skies in the luxury Swift helo, or cram your entire squad into the new 16-seater Buckingham Mil-Jet for team transport in style. Hit the silk with a collection of new Chutes and Parachute Bags, and if things get a little out of control, rely on the Reserve Parachute to give you a second chance at that soft landing – or use it to get creative with your precision dives. Later, hit the streets in the shapely Invetero Coquette Classic, available in either hard-top or topless roadster variants for whatever your sea-level speed fix.

    actual_1408442091.jpg

And round up your wingmen for new Races, Captures, Parachute Jumps and more, including the three all-new VS Mission modes. Acquire Targets is a kill-the-carrier style mode where opponents fight in P996 Lazers to control one flag; maintain control for as long as you can to rack up points. In G-Rating, compete against other cadets as you fly to pick up 15 flags in both weapons hot and cold environments. Or try out Air Force Zero, where the defending team must protect an aircraft against an attacking team as it flies to the safe LZ.

As always you can find the complete list of changes in this update over on the Rockstar Support site.

The USA's Independence Day is coming up this Friday, celebrating that time when we finally let them play by themselves. Rockstar are celebrating with a special seasonal update with loads of fun stereotypical American stuff for you to play around with. Here are all the details:

From Paleto Bay to the Port of Los Santos and everywhere in between, it’s time to celebrate the birthplace of freedom with The Independence Day Special (in association with Ammu-Nation) for Grand Theft Auto Online.

    actual_1404209878.jpg

Demonstrate your exceptionalism and own the road from sea to shining sea with two new star spangled rides, the Sovereign motorcycle and the super-sized Liberator monster truck. And protect your rights the same way our Founding Fathers did with the latest addition to Ammu-Nation's antiques collection, the high-powered Musket... or channel your inner Jack Howitzer with the spectacular Firework Rocket Launcher.

    actual_1404209887.jpg

Seven new properties have also been added to the Dynasty 8 rolls, including locations in Paleto Bay and Vinewood Hills that provide plenty of yard space to scorch the grass with your very own Fireworks show. Use up to 12 varieties with different fuse lengths to create a spectacle that would make even the most battle-hardened Republican Space Ranger shed a tear. If you prefer rickety amusements operated by minimum wage teenage workers over incendiary lawn displays, then venture down to Pleasure Pier where you can now ride the Ferris Whale and the Leviathan Roller Coaster.

    actual_1404209896.jpg

This limited-time update also features an overabundance of patriotic flare: show off nationalistic pride with a "Made in the U.S.A." t-shirt, a backwoods mullet or let the eagle soar with an animal mask featuring this great nation's most fearsome and majestic creatures.

    actual_1404209905.jpg

This special seasonal content will be available to redeem in-game until Mid-July (we will announce a specific redemption expiration date soon). The automatic update for the Independence Day Special also includes additional game tuning updates and other adjustments, including the new On Call Matchmaking function. This new option allows players to accept a Job invite and continue playing in Freemode until that Job fills up, reducing time spent idle while waiting for Job to start. For the complete list of all the fixes and tuning updates, visit the Rockstar Support site.

To download the Independence Day Special, fire up your online-connected PS3 or Xbox 360 and start GTAV. You'll be prompted to download the automatic update (1.15) and Xbox 360 players will also be required to download an additional compatibility pack upon entering GTA Online.
And look for details about the upcoming celebratory 4-day Independence Day Weekend Event tomorrow.

The latest free update for GTA Online is now available. Title update 1.14, known as the "I'm Not a Hipster" Update, allows you and your online buddies to look like a unique individual (read: massive twat) with new clothes, hairstyles, tattoos, masks and more. But it also features seven new vehicles, a couple of new weapons, 12 new jobs, and lots of little tweaks and fixes.

    actual_1403000757.jpg

Choose from seven new vehicles including classic nostalgia rides like the GlendaleWarrenerBlade and Rhapsody – affordable cars that seem casual on the surface, but have hidden potential to be unleashed with a few modifications. The environmentally conscious set can check out the Panto microcar, while those looking to roll with their Crew in more ostentatious style can add the massive 3-axel, 6-seater Dubsta (unlocks at Rank 100) to their fleet.

    actual_1403000770.jpg
A tuned up Rhapsody and Warrener hit the streets.

Even Ammu-Nation is getting in on the latest non-ironic trends with the Vintage Pistol and Antique Cavalry Dagger now in stock. Make sure to try all these out in the slew of new Jobs, as part of your long arduous journey to become one of Los Santos' effortlessly cool.

There are also tons of tweaks and updates made to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of this update. A few notable ones include:
    • Ten existing GTAV vehicles have been added to the southernsanandreassuperautos.com website for purchase, including Story Mode characters’ vehicles:
      • Albany Primo
      • BF Surfer
      • Bravado Buffalo
      • Franklin's Bravado Buffalo S
      • Bravado Youga
      • Cheval Picador
      • Dundreary Regina
      • Trevor's Karin Rebel (clean version)
      • Trevor's Nagasaki Hot Rod Blazer
      • Michael's Obey Tailgater
    • Pure Gold and Brushed Gold paint colors have been added to LS Customs in the ‘Metals’ category. These unlock at Rank 100.
    • A new Pure Black window tint has been added to LS Customs, along with four new jazzy vehicle horns (including one which loops and speeds up / slows down as you drive).
    • Eight new individual player celebrations and four new paired Celebration animations have been added.
    • Players will no longer be charged Insurance costs if their vehicle is destroyed by another player who does not have enough GTA$ to pay.
    • Fixed an issue where, if an insured Personal Vehicle was destroyed, both parties had to pay the insurance costs.
    • Fixed an issue where some four-wheel drive vehicles had reverted to two-wheel drive.
    • Players are now able to bookmark Jobs whilst in a Playlist from the Pause menu.
    • Tear Gas now does more damage and lasts longer.
    • A small tick has been added to the first screen in the corona if a player has played a Job before, much like in the pause menu or Next Job Voting Screen.
    • The level of difficulty is now displayed when pressing D-pad down when playing Missions.
This update also includes a host of other adjustments, game tuning and exploit fixes. For the complete list, please visit the Rockstar Support site.

As usual you'll be prompted to download the update next time you login to your PS3 or Xbox 360.

  8. It has been announced by Sony at tonight's E3 conference that Grand Theft Auto V will indeed be headed to the PS4 after all, and soon too, later this "fall" (that means Autumn in case you're not American). It was later confirmed that the game will also be coming to Xbox One and PC too. So finally all the idiots can stop whining with stupid and pathetic online protests, and instead go completely mental over this wonderful news!

Also here's a new trailer for the upcoming release.

Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation®4, Xbox One or PC.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.

Take in the view from any of the five new apartments in The High Life Update.

Coming next week on Tuesday May 13th, it's time to expand your foothold in Los Santos with The High Life Update for Grand Theft Auto Online, which features new high-end apartments, multi-property ownership, four new vehicles, the powerful Bullpup Rifle and more. This automatic update to GTA Online adds five new options to the Los Santos real estate market at prime locations like Eclipse Towers, Richards Majestic and others, all featuring the latest new interior design. With multi-property ownership, you'll also now be able to own two distinct properties simultaneously.

    actual_1399475450.jpg

Customized Zentorno, Massacro, and Huntley S hit the streets.

For those looking to take advantage of the expanded garage space that comes with owning an extra property, there's a trio of exquisite new cars plus a hot new motorcycle to add to your collection. The Enus Huntley S (SUV), Dewbauchee Massacro (Sports), Pegassi Zentorno (Super) and Dinka Thrust (Motorcycle) will all be available to purchase in GTA Online from Legendary Motorsport - and accessible from any garage property in Story Mode. The High Life Update also adds 'Non Contact' to the bevy of available Race options, which will allow you to play standard Races with collisions disabled between player's vehicles (other players appear as semi-transparent and you'll still be able to collide with non-player traffic, structures and other scenery).

    actual_1399475459.jpg

Outfit the new Bullpup Rifle with a scope, suppressor, tints and more.

You can also protect your investments with Ammu-Nation's latest arrival, the powerful Bullpup Rifle. And the new Mental State player stat shows you just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in your session really are – so you'll know if you need to have it at the ready when they approach. The High Life Update also includes new wardrobe options, vehicle horns and player toasts/celebrations as well as 15 new Jobs - including 5 new Contact Missions.

  11. IPB ImageAs you may have heard, unfortunately GameSpy is due to close its servers on the 31st May. In case you're not aware, GameSpy has been around for a very long time, since 1996 in fact, and was a well established server host used by a large amount of games to provide online services such as multiplayer, leaderboards, and other stat tracking features.

The closure of these services means that many games must transition their use of GameSpy's servers to an alternative solution by patching their existing code. While many newer games won't be affected (as of January 2013 the software wasn't available for license), many older ones will, and this includes some Rockstar titles (listed at the end of this article).

If you're interested in the history of GameSpy and just why this is happening, our friends at Rockstar Nexus have a nice little write up about it, you may not know that Rockstar actually experimented with using it as far back as GTA III.

If you're only interested in how this affects your Rockstar titles, see below. Most changes will only be in the form of stats or leaderboards.

    Grand Theft Auto V

    • Online multiplayer gameplay: Removed for the Mac version only

    • In-game Track Upload/Download feature: Removed
Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition / MC3: Dub Edition Remix
    • Online multiplayer gameplay: Removed
    • In-game multiplayer leaderboards: Removed

As pointed out by Rockstar Nexus, one title Rockstar Games did not mention here is Midnight Club II, which we believe makes use of GameSpy for its multiplayer. Due to the age of that game, we can assume Rockstar will simply discontinue multiplayer features due to (presumed) lack of activity.

The Capture Creator update for GTA Online we mentioned earlier this week is now available. With over 4 million player-created deathmatches and races already available, the addition of Capture Creator gives the community even more freedom to create their own customised jobs. As they've done in the past with deathmatches and races, Rockstar will be periodically reviewing your creations and deeming the best ones R* Verified.

To kickstart the creatives among you, Rockstar is holding a little contest. Here's the details if you're up for a challenge:

As a little bonus for early birds in the community who are planning to make the first Capture creation masterpieces this weekend, we're going to give 4 creators the opportunity to score a cool $GTA1,000,000 and the exclusive in-game CAPTURE license plate in the #CaptureWeekend Awards. The four official selections will also join the hallowed ranks of Rockstar Verified Jobs and be invited to join us on a future Rockstar Games live broadcast on Twitch to play through and talk about their creations.

To help you get started, we've created a handy PDF guide that will walk you through the process of creating your own Capture Jobs.

We're also extending the 2X GTA$ and RP period that was originally scheduled to end today through next week - so playing any Capture Jobs, including those made with the Creator tools will earn you twice as much GTA$ and RP until the end of the day on Sunday, April 20th.

    actual_1396998481.jpg

To submit your published Capture Job for consideration, head to the GTA Online section of Social Club and find your created Jobs. In the details area of the Job you think is worthy, click the Edit Tags button at the bottom, add #CaptureWeekend to the edit box and click Save. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM Eastern on Sunday. See full terms and conditions here.

Pretty big update for GTAV/GTA Online today with Rockstar releasing title update 1.12 for both PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. There is an absolute ton of changes, fixes, updates etc. which we'll list at the end of this post.

Rockstar have also announced that from now until Friday - when Capture Creator arrives - you can get double RP and GTA$ from any of the official Capture jobs currently available.

This Friday, April 11th, we'll be adding the ability to construct your own Capture Jobs with the GTA Online Creator tool. This update will let you create Jobs across any of the four Capture Job variants (Contend, GTA, Hold and Raid) and publish them for all to play, rate and share via the Rockstar Games Social Club.
In honor of this forthcoming update, and to help you hone your skills for the wave of new player-made Capture creations to come - from now until Friday, playing any of the official Capture Jobs in GTA Online will earn you twice as much GTA$ and RP. If you haven't yet played Capture Mode in GTA Online, it's a GTA twist on classic capture the flag style confrontations that brings a whole new level of adversarial action to the world of Los Santos and Blaine County. Strategy plays a huge role as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don’t get close to your goods.

    Title Update 1.12
The title update, available today, has a massive change log. Highlights include:

bonus RP every time you like or dislike content after playing it, the ability to call Lester and have him instruct the cops to turn a blind eye to criminal activity for a short period of time, as well as increased payouts for completing Parachute, Races, Deathmatches and LTS Jobs with less than four players.

The full change log is far too big to list here, so if you're interested in seeing all the things that have changed, take a look at the Rockstar Support page.

  14. What we could do with is less anti-GTAF topics... :P

Seriously though, I skimmed through what you just wrote and yeah I'm not sure why a mod would remove it and yeah the section mods have been known to be extremely anal and/or selective about what/who they actually moderate, but complaining about it here won't do any good. Forums aren't really as democratic as they sometimes pretend to be, at the end of the day what goes is whatever the mods say. If you've been unfairly warned or had your comments deleted there's not really anything you can do about it, if it happens frequently then just accept that someone for some reason has a personal vendetta against you, and either deal with it and move on or just leave. It's most likely not worth fighting, it's just a videogame forum after all, this isn't real politics.

That said, appreciate the sentiment about us being more lenient. I'm a big fan of free speech and aside from obvious spam/porn/piracy etc. we're happy with letting most stuff go here, we realise in the majority of cases it's not causing problems for anyone so there's no reason to delete it. And being such a small and inactive forum now, nothing really has any far reaching effects we need to be worried about anyway.

  15. Rockstar have just announced their plans for Spring updates to GTA Online, including (finally) the addition you've all been waiting for: Heists!

Below is a full summary of what to expect from forthcoming updates, but first, some highlights:

    • Heists
    • Creator updates (ability to create Capture maps)
    • Ability to own two different properties, giving you extra storage space for more vehicles
    • Rollback of previous title update which changed bike handling in the air (this has already been done, stunting is now better again)
    • Non-contact option for races. Since so many twats seem to have no idea that "Race" and "GTA Race" are two different game types, R* have finally added an option to turn off collisions (with other players) meaning we can actually have fun and go racing for real now!
    • Some new weapons and vehicles
    • Other general fixes and refinements

    Full Summary

    actual_1396451170.jpg
Running out of space to store all your vehicles or just looking for another place to chill? You’ll soon be able to own multiple properties in GTA Online as part of the forthcoming High Life Update.

Get ready for lots of exciting Grand Theft Auto Online updates to be added throughout the spring and beyond. Here's a brief rundown of some of the new content, features, and enhancements that you can expect to see barreling down the La Puerta Freeway in the months to come.

    SPRING GAME UPDATES

Capture Creator: Coming next week, the Creator community will be able to make their own original customized Capture Jobs and add to the over 3.5 million (and counting) player-created Deathmatches and Races currently available on Social Club. Strategically place pick-ups, define weaponry, set location, and tweak tons of other variables to make your own unique Capture Job for others to take on. We will also be reviewing your homemade Capture creations to stamp standout experiences as Rockstar Verified.

The High Life Update: The High Life Update will allow you to expand your foothold in Los Santos with new high-end apartment options, the powerful Bullpup Rifle, new wardrobe items, the Dinka Thrust motorcycle and three new lavish cars to choose from, including the Super class Pegassi Zentorno. The High Life Update will also feature the debut of multi-property ownership in GTA Online, which means you'll be able to own two distinct properties (with garages) simultaneously. All this plus the new Mental State player statistic, which is designed to let you see just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in your session really are, and a slew of new Jobs.

Heists: Coming this spring to Grand Theft Auto Online, team up with your most trusted Crew members or with random other mercenaries in Grand Theft Auto Online to pull off cooperative Heist Missions for glory and profit. We know many in the GTA Online community have been looking forward to this update — stay tuned for much more information to come.

And later this year, look for even more additions to both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V, including more holiday-themed updates, some very exciting Story Mode DLC and much more.

CONTINUING REFINEMENTS BASED ON YOUR FEEDBACK

Ever since the launch of GTA Online, we've been continuously monitoring how the community is playing the game as well as all player feedback sent to us at our [email protected] address to see what you’re liking, disliking, and what should be addressed in upcoming GTA Online Title Updates.

A recent update addressed an issue that we saw with the way motorcycles and bikes handled while in the air. As it turned out, many members of the GTA stunting community were disappointed to discover that this fix made pulling off certain popular bike tricks and stunts virtually impossible, so we're going to be restoring the original in-air motorcycle/bike physics in an upcoming Title Update. In general, we are open to keeping unintended ‘glitches’ in the game if players enjoy them and they aren’t causing any negative impact to gameplay or fairness in any way.

Renowned GTA stuntman Kwebbelkop upon hearing about our plans to roll back the handling update.

There are many other ongoing improvements to expect as we continue to dedicate attention towards refining and ensuring the most fair and fun experience possible for everyone. In upcoming Title Updates and via dynamic tuning, you can expect:
    • The addition of a 'Non-Contact' option for Races. This will allow you to play standard Races with collisions disabled between player vehicles. Other players will appear as semi-transparent and you'll still be able to collide with non-player traffic, structures and other scenery, but this mode - for those who want to play it - will eliminate the "rubbing is racing" mentality that some wish to avoid.
    • Players will be able to call Lester and have him tell his cop buddies to turn a blind eye to any crime you may or may not be committing for a short period of time.
    • As a reward for players who leave feedback on Jobs, there will be some bonus RP granted every time a player likes or dislikes content after playing it.
    • GTA$ payouts will be increased when completing Parachute, Races, Deathmatches and LTS Jobs with less than 4 players.
    • As part of our ongoing commitment to target cheaters and keep the game as fair as possible, we are closing RP exploits and will be adjusting the RP totals of players who we know for certain to have gained illegitimate RP by cheating. Your RP will only be adjusted if you participated in mods, hacks, DNS redirects, manipulation of cloud files, or other similarly nefarious behavior. If you grinded short legitimate missions or otherwise gained a small amount of RP without modding, your RP should not be affected by this correction.
    • We’ll be fixing the issue where players who had upgraded personal vehicles prior to Title Update 1.10 were only able to sell them for $10,000.
These are just a few of the ongoing tweaks and enhancements in the works — and as mentioned above, we are interested in hearing what YOU want to see, so please hit us up and let us know what you'd like to see added to the world of Grand Theft Auto Online.

The Bullpup Rifle, coming soon to Ammu-Nation.

  16. Thanks I will look into this and if true it'll be fixed for the next update. I personally tested all GTA V cheats myself on PS3 though so I'm surprised this is being reported, perhaps I made an error copying and pasting something...

UPDATE: Just went and tested this. Turns out both codes work for that cheat, I'm not sure why it has two working codes but it does. both Xbox 360 codes work too.

  17. Hey guys,

Within the next week we'll have a nice update out for our GTA Cheats app, which has become somewhat of a worldwide success thanks in part to the release of GTA V back in September spurring mass downloading of the app.

Because of this success, we now fairly frequently get requests and/or even negative feedback from users (many of whom are younger folks) who perhaps don't like, or simply are unable to understand English well enough to comfortably use the app.

We've analysed the stats, and while we can see the majority are using English, we can also see that approximately one third of users are on devices with their language set to something other than English. One third may not sound a lot, but when you take into account the several million downloads the app has seen, you realise this is a massive amount of people.

So to remedy this, we felt the best way would be to crowdsource translations from anyone and everyone who would like to help us out. There's over 400 phrases to translate (yeah, there's a LOT of cheats when you cater to EVERY GTA game!), so we don't expect anyone to translate everything themselves, we're hoping to find a handful of users for each language. So you can translate as much or as little as you like...

The more people who help out the quicker we can release updates with the translated files.

If you'd like to help us out we'd greatly appreciate it, we're using a site called OneSky to handle everything. To get started take a look at the quick instructions listed at http://on.tgtap.com/TranslateCheats

Any questions just post them here, also if you don't see your language listed there let me know what it is and I'll have a look if we have enough users to warrant it. If it's supported we'll probably add it in for you to help with. :)

Rockstar have announced that the free DLC pack entitled The Business Update will be arriving next week on Tuesday, 4th March.

Thrill-seekers and weekend warriors can hop in any of three all-new, blazing fast sports cars: the Albany AlphaDinka Jester and Grotti Turismo R... or take to the skies in the new Vestra airplane.

    actual_1393357379.jpg

Take to the skies in the luxurious Vestra.

Swing by Ammu-Nation to pick up two new weapons, the Heavy Pistol and Special Carbine, which both offer some serious firepower.

Dress for success with formal and business casual attire options like new suit jackets, slacks, glasses, heels and blouses, or don new all-business hairstyles and currency themed tattoos. There's also a collection of new masks, perfect for disguising yourself during the next hostile takeover.

The Heavy Pistol and Special Carbine, two new weapons available as part of The Business Update.

Just like the recent Valentine's Day Massacre Special, the new vehicles and weapons will be available in both Story Mode and Online. In Story Mode, weapons will be deposited into all three characters' inventory with two full ammo-clips and all three cars are accessible from their garage properties. In GTA Online, you'll be able to purchase the new weapons and their attachments at any Ammu-Nation location while the vehicles will be available for purchase from Legendary Motorsport and Elitas.

    actual_1393357486.jpg

The Turismo R and Alpha evading LSPD pursuit through downtown Los Santos.

Don't forget that this weekend is your last chance to grab the Albany Roosevelt limousine, the Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun and all the rest of the exclusive items from the Valentine's Day Massacre Special before they're gone. Once you purchase them in-game, they're yours to keep - but they will no longer be available to purchase after midnight PST this Sunday, March 2nd.

And stay tuned for details about our upcoming Business Update Event Weekend as well as more info to be revealed on future updates including Online Heists, the Capture Creator update, new Assassination and Flight School missions for Story Mode and much more...

So there you have it. Judging by some of the inane comments left on Rockstar's Newswire and social media pages, you only want heists and nothing else. Well, sorry, you'll have to put up with all this FREE DLC for the time being. I know, I know, it's tough getting given stuff for free, but do try to just be grateful.

  19. It's been a while since we had any notable news to post, but today Rockstar announced a special event starting this weekend - the Valentine's Day Massacre.

    actual_1391814603_11-02.jpg

    NEW WEAPON: GUSENBERG SWEEPER
Nothing says “I love you” quite like the warm wooden grip and cold steel barrel of a Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun. Get it from any Ammu-Nation location in GTA Online (in Story Mode, the Sweeper is automatically deposited into each character's weapon inventory with two full clips and additional ammo can be purchased at Ammu-Nation).

    NEW VEHICLE: ALBANY ROOSEVELT
Paint the town red in the classically-inspired Albany Roosevelt. This armored 1920s limousine is perfect for gangsters and their molls. To properly run amok with the new Roosevelt, get in the driver’s seat and let your friends or Crewmates hang off the side, firing and taking out your rivals as you pass them by. The Roosevelt can be accessed from any garage property in Story Mode and is available in GTA Online from the legendarymotorsport.net in-game website.

    NEW ATTIRE
Dress to the nines in a host of new double breasted suits and 1920s flapper dresses, or bare it all in sexy undergarments while going incognito with a selection of new masquerade masks. There are also new novelty t-shirts, hats and more available in stores throughout Los Santos, plus a new Flapper Bob hairstyle exclusively for the ladies.

    10 NEW JOBS
The Valentine’s Day Massacre also includes 10 new Jobs scattered like the remnants of a broken heart throughout the world of GTA Online, including Deathmatches, a new Parachute Jump and new land, sea and cycling Races.

The nice thing about this update is that although the special will last for a limited time only, unlike the Christmas special any items you acquire will be kept forever in your inventory. And to get the hype train going again, Rockstar signed off the announcement by saying: "We will also have more information soon for other forthcoming GTA Online content updates including the Dangerous Business Pack, Online Heists, an expansion to the Creator tool and lots more."

  20. Hey,

A bit of a random request here, I realise the forum is very inactive now but perhaps some of you still browse and might come across this thread.

I was wondering if anyone here speaks a language other than English fluently, preferably as your native language, and if so, would you be willing to help translate some simple words and phrases for one of my iOS apps?

The app I'd like translating is GeoChallenge, a flag/country/geography based quiz app I made last year. As you can see it's very basic, but I'm planning a big update for it, and I would like to include more translations in it. Although most players are currently English speakers, I have had a few requests for it to be put in other languages, and I think that in doing so it will increase its appeal in those countries and make it more popular.

Currently the only translation I have is Romanian, which is great, but not a big market for iOS apps and only 2 countries speak that language. I'm particularly interested in getting it translated into Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. There are of course loads of other languages, if you speak one I didn't mention then that is awesome too so let me know!

Note that you would do this probably for free (although perhaps I'll gift you a game on Steam or something to thank you for your efforts if you do a good job), there's actually only about 100 phrases you need to translate, and some are just single words, so it shouldn't take too long.

So, if you speak another language fluently and are interested in helping me out, please reply here and let me know which language you speak. I would greatly appreciate any help. Also you must legitimately know the language... no using Google Translate, it's not accurate enough for many things, if it was I would be using it myself and not making this post!

    Thanks.

P.S. Apologies to anyone who wants to help whose language is not supported on iOS - there's a full list of the 30 languages that iOS does support here: http://www.ibabbleon.com/iOS-Language-Codes-ISO-639.html

  21. Rockstar successfully launched GTA: San Andreas on iOS devices last month, followed by yet another unfortunate launch on Android a week before Christmas where no one was able to actually download the game on launch day. Naturally, Rockstar made good with an update to the Android version the next day, and the iOS version also received an update yesterday fixing a few bugs, and now they have finally officially announced the game's availability with a new trailer.

Rockstar says GTA: San Andreas for mobile devices is the best looking yet, and features re-mastered, high-resolution graphics including lighting enhancements, an enriched color palette and improved character models. San Andreas on Android also supports compatible USB and Bluetooth Android controllers including the popular MOGA brand series. The iOS version also supports various controllers. If you haven't already got it you can get it for £4.99 ($ 6.99) for your iOS, Android, or Kindle HDX device from the App StoreGoogle Play, and the Amazon Appstore respectively. The Windows Phone version is apparently still coming soon.

To celebrate the mobile release, Rockstar will be giving away 10 limited edition prize packs filled with various San Andreas gear.

We're also celebrating the GTA San Andreas mobile release with a special limited-edition gear giveaway going on starting today til January 13th, 2014 with your chance to score some rare San Andreas gear over at the Rockstar Games Facebook page.

  22. The new capture mode for GTA Online, first teased a couple of weeks, is now live with title update 1.08 for GTAV. Capture is Rockstar's unique take on the well known "Capture the Flag" mode seen in many multiplayer games. Capture has four different modes, here's what Rockstar have to say about each one:

    actual_1386962721.jpg
Fight for exclusive import rights at Los Santos International in one of the new Capture mode Jobs in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Capture - the newest addition to the collection of team-based modes in Grand Theft Auto Online, in now available as part of the latest free automatic update on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. With 20 new Jobs across four unique modes, this GTA twist on classic capture the flag style confrontations brings a whole new level of adversarial action to the world of Los Santos and Blaine County. Strategy plays a huge role as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don’t get close to your goods. These new Jobs are accessible in Freemode and spread across the four different modes described below. Read on for more details and previews of a few of our faves:

    RAID
In Raid, you'll have to fight your way into your opponents' base and steal a package, then deliver it back to your base to score points. Reach the target score, or deliver more packages than your opponents do in the allotted time to win the match.

    "Beachin"
Legal highs and bad t-shirts aren't the only things being pushed on Vespucci Beach. Four factions raid each other's stashes for control of the area's 'tourist trade'. Take product back to your spot and it's yours.

    "Wargames"
Like any military operation, when things kick off at Fort Zancudo Air Base, they escalate pretty quickly. Teams stockpiling weapons to sell on the black market raid each other's bases at either end of the facility. If they get the goods back, they're banked. Nothing's off limits to be used here, including the fighter jets.

    HOLD
When playing Hold, teams must collect and store as many packages as possible in their base. Packages can either be found on the map, or stolen from the opposing team’s bases. Reach the target score, or hold the most packages when the time runs out, to win.

    "Block Party"
Gang violence escalates in Chamberlain Hills, as block fights block at close quarters. Four factions with two packages each try to raid each other and protect their own stuff. If they get someone else's product back to their turf, they'll have to protect it.

    actual_1386962738.jpg
Compete to get buses back to your base in 'All Abhorred'.

    GTA
As the ubiquitous acronym might suggest, GTA mode tasks players with stealing target vehicles located all around the map, before bringing them back to their respective bases. Each team must fight to steal more vehicles in the allotted time than their opponents.

    "My Maibatsu"
Four East Los car thief outfits compete to get hold of a shipment of Sanchez dirt bikes, and store them back at their bases, while preventing the other teams from doing the same. First place to look would be the Maibatsu Factory.

    "Field of Screams"
A tractor shortage in Grapeseed leads to farmyard chaos. It's harvest time, and two rival gangs compete to bring a Fieldmaster tractor back to their bases. Farming is a deadly serious business in Blaine County.

    CONTEND
In Contend, there's only one package, situated in the middle of the map. Teams must fight to bring this package back to their respective bases, and once the package is captured it respawns in the middle of the map and is up for grabs again.

    "Salty Snatch"
Dog walkers and surfing talent agents look out - two import operations at either end of Chumash Beach are fighting over a shipment that's landed on the pier. Any product they can get to their spot in the sand is theirs to keep.

Capture update is out now on both PS3 and Xbox 360, and you can check out the Rockstar Support page for the full patch notes for this update.

  23. Do you still have any of the files (scripts) left from it? Or the domain name? I've been thinking about maybe making use of a script-set I wrote a long time ago that did both anonymous and account-based image hosting...and if it came to it, I can make subsystems account-level image approval and/or image reporting system. Would also be interested to hear what other issues you had that made you close it down -- because every problem can be solved with a little extra code. :)

I may do somewhere, but it was written in PHP back in 2005, with some updates done a year or two after. I wasn't that great a programmer back then. Basically, it was all really old (and bad) PHP code, it would need a complete rewrite really if it were to be used again these days, no point working with the old code.

As for the domain name it expired recently, it's too late for me to renew now, just checked the WHOIS and it's pending reactivation so I'm not really sure what's going on with it, I don't recall seeing that status before especially when I wasn't the one renewing. If you're serious about an image hosting website I'd probably just say start fresh, with a short .com name (I also had imgvault.com but never got round to relaunching with that). Imagelodge domain wouldn't have brought you any useful traffic, you'd just have a ton of 404 errors from all the hotlinked and now broken links.
