  1. I thought the story was engaging at first , but then it kinda drifted off and got a little "loose" at about the point where michelle takes the coke, and get you do the those jobs for the FIB or whatever.
  2. My favorites are the ones that look like this, I find them tough and a good speeds.. They are reliable to get you around in the city in a hurry!( I find the fast sports car get damaged to easily and blow up) But for the "Flashy" cars, my favorite when I seem them spawn, is the PMP 600. I think the design of the car reminds of this one. (Rolls Royce Phantom)
  3. You probably dont even have the right pixel shader on your current video card, look in my profile at my picture. That was Godfather a few years back running on my shit pc. I didn't have the right pixel shader so the textures were white. now If you have a PCI express slot on your motherboard buy something like a ATI HD 3870 and maby another 1GB DDR2 ram. if you dont know what a PCI-E slot looks like, open up your computer case. (make sure to uplug it and dont touch anything on the motherboard! For static discharge can damage the parts). See if you something like this on your motherboard. Its a slot with a little hook on it. Then buy a video card like this one, http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&CatId=3670
  4. Everything is not bad, but your video card is going to let you down. You wont beable to play GTA 4 with that video card properly or at all. Get a HD 3870 512MB or higher. Lets say I have 512 MB will it work on highest settings? No I have a HD 3450 512MB and can only play on 800 x 600, well check the last page back. I say somewhere. It will work though. But if you want high settings get a HD 3870 or higher. Btw why is your name quoting as ICECOLDNIG?

    Next GTA

Hopefully if they do make another one on the same engine. Its a remake of Vice or similiar city. I like the setting of the palm trees and sun better then the grundy metro city. I dont think Rockstar will recreate San Andreas its too huge. It like the size of 4 liberty cities. That would be alot work.
  7. 256MB is not enough. The Textures on medium settings takes like 300MB of Video ram itself. Try for the 512MB
  8. Your CPU clock speed is a bit slow, are you a running a notebook?. You might get it running with another stick of RAM and a new video card. But if you have a notebook. I dont know if you can upgrade the video cards in those.
  9. While you have more than enough RAM and your processor is (just) good enough, there is no way that you will ever get the game running on integrated Intel graphics, sorry. Since it's a laptop, I'm not sure if you can replace the graphics card or not, someone else will have to confirm this. I thought that would be the case And I don't think you can replace it, I'm fairly sure it's built right in with the motherboard, & I don't really wan't to replace that as I'm getting a new computer soon anyway. Laptops are not good for high end graphics games like GTA IV. The video cards that can fit into the Mini PCI slots on there can't really pack a punch you know what I mean, since there so small. I dont even where you can buy a video cards for laptops. If you can at all.
  10. Good observation that site has alot of stuff. I would not of noticed. I'm going to order 2 of these. I'll put them in crossfire and post a benchmark video. oh look what I found. HD 4670 1GB DDR3 For the same price! http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&CatId=3669 Edit: crap but that is only memory interface 128-bit and does not come with Crossfire bridge connector. I think I'll stick with the one you linked.
  11. 5GHz CPU???! Whatever I smell BS. But if your for real, that computer is way old. That something like from 1999. Imagine that your computer is a Playstation One And your trying to play a PS3 game on it. You understand what I mean? Because its not going to work. You'll have to buy a new PC with like 4GB ram, and dual or Quad core and a nice video card.
  12. My monitor is 20" and runs at 1600x1200 My specs are as follows: Vista 32 SP1 AMD Athlon X2 6000+ 3.1GHz 3GB RAM ATi 3850 512mb This is how I have the settings in GTA IV: Resolution: 1600x1200 Texture quality: Medium Render quality: Highest Shadow quality: High Water quality: High Reflection quality: High View distance: 24 Detail distance: 100 Vehicle Density: 40 Shadow Density: 0 Note: this is just from memory, but I'm pretty sure this is how my settings look. According to FRAPS, I consistently get 20fps, with the occasional slight drop during intense gameplay. The game is extremely playable and looks great. My rig also plays my other games (Test Drive Unlimited, GTR2, Live for Speed, rFactor, Richard Burns Rally, GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas) all at max settings usually getting 30-60fps. The reason you're getting such crappy frames is purely because of your graphics card. A 3450 isn't anywhere near as good as a 3850. Mine something like Resolution: 800x600 Texture quality: Medium Render quality: medium Shadow quality: low Water quality: low Reflection quality: low View distance: 40 Detail distance: 50 Vehicle Density: 30 Shadow Density: 2 I'm getting like 20 FPS (according to my Fraps), which enough to see fluid movement. Well you just convinced me, I think might consider the 3850, its only around $100 USD. maby buy 2 and put them CrossFirex. That would 640 Stream processors for only $200 This is model I'm looking at. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/sea...D&body=MAIN
  13. Yes I did not want to join Socialclub or Windows live but felt like I forced into it, and it had to connect to the internet to validate the product key (But there is offline one hidden in the program folder?). I felt like I let Big brother into my computer to get this game running.
  14. I wasn't saying that a 3870 with 512mb VRAM would be able to max GTA IV, I was simply suggesting a cheap alternative that would run the game well. I have a 3850 and that runs the game absolutely fine on medium to high settings, and as medium settings in GTA IV are about the equivalent of max settings on most games, that's more than enough. What resolution is your monitor? On my HD 3450, putting 1440 x 900 (My native monitor resolution) on low settings brings the game to 5 FPS. But on 800 x 600 I get a good playable frame rate with medium settings.
  15. Yeah, that's the graphics card that's letting you down, sorry. You don't need a 4870, that's overkill. You'll want either a 3850 or a 3870. Just make sure you buy the 512mb version. With that processor and RAM, the game should run beautifully at high resolution. If you can afford it, a 4850 is good too, but 3850s are pretty cheap and run the game well. I have doubts about that a 3870 with 512MB VRAM could play on max settings either. The texture setting itself on max would take that whole 512MB VRAM leaving no room for the other stuff. So I think you would card with at least 1GB of ram and somewhere around 800 Stream processors to actually play this g game on real max settings. Maby this one would be a better choice. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&CatId=3669 But I'm planning to buy this or this later on next month. I figure it'll be good for a few years to come.. Oh here is my Gaming rig I builtn
  16. Looks like alot of you dudes are running old hardware. Good luck playing this game becuase I built my first PC last month. Windows Vista home Premium AMD Phenom Quad Core 9500 2.2Ghz 4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM Radeon HD 3450 512MB Doesn't run GTA IV very well. Only on 800 x 600 Resolution and some medium low settings I can get a decent FPS. I think my video card is the problem. other then that my pc is very fast. I used to have an old crappy PC also with like 512MB RAM , 1 core and some obselote onboard graphics. PC gaming on something like that is imppossible to enjoy becuase of the low FPS. you'll have to build a gaming PC and it'll cost around $1500. But ya I don't like consoles.
  17. My internet speed is terrible. LIke 34 kb/s downstream Takes 60 seconds to download a 1mb. or 2 minutes to upload 1mb
  18. That video pretty entertaining, or well made I should say well put together. As for that pic of the day thats just lame.
  19. Haven't played gta in a long ass time... so whats new? What is the newest gta game out? Is there one out for ps3. Was thinking of buying a ps3 and a gta game would be perfect.
  20. Put supporting details or GTFO my forums, dick. Its the U.S that is going around in the middle east starting shit. Is that good enough reason?
