  1. Amazon don't give free gamerpics, its only

    Game Station

Because we haven't heard nothing that Amazon is giving free gamerpics. But if they do you will get a code inside your copy of GTA IV and enter it into Reddem code on the console and thats how you get your gamerpics and xboxlive points

  2. Lazlow who has been in many past GTA's, as a radio host and has also been one of the lead writers for the series, has given information on GTA IV while he was on a radio show 'Opie and Anthony show'.

Although talking about his inlvolment mostly and information we have already heard, these things that he mentioned are new.

    • Niko can date women he meets on online dating sites like Love-Meet.net
    • Recording sessions for the in-game dialogue and audio lasted ten hours a day five days a week for many weeks
    • Rockstar employees worked overtime, even on weekends, in order the complete the game on time
    • There will be over 100 different commercials played on the in-game radio stations
    • The Liberty City beer band 'Piswasser' is a direct jab at Budweiser, and will feature an ad sung by Anthony himself
    • The in-game internet is ridiculously extensive and will contain spoofs of various popular news sources (both liberal and conservative), blogs and websites. There will also be pop-up banner ads to complete the browsing experience.
    • Injuries will be more important in firefights then before. If Niko is shot in the leg, for example, he'll bleed and limp
    • There will be periodic announcements in the subway stations that will randomly alert you of spontaneous police searches, extra security checks and plain ole harassment of passengers
    • Lazlow also stated that his personal favorite version of GTA IV is the 360 version because of it’s downloadable content which will contain (amongst other things) new missions, characters and comedy routines.

  3. You will be able to restart missions using your phone, after failing one.

You also will be able to listen to MP3s, according to this link.

You can also call services... such as a hospital.

There's WAY more features to be listed (I hope).

The link you given isn't a sign of playing MP3's through your phone, the link you gave is a 'Zit' service, that is if you hear a song on the radio you like you can dial this number using your ingame phone wait 30 seconds and you get a text message with the name of the song and artist. Once that is done it will be saved in your Social Club profile, but you must purchase it through Amazon to download it.

  4. Finally the moment everybody has been waiting for Grand Theft Auto IV has now gone gold, so say good bye to those rumors that EA have brought up Take-Two. This was announced earlier today by Take-Two in a shareholders meeting, when Ben Foder Take-Two CEO said that the game is "in production and in trucks en route to retailers,". Meaning that the game is already on it way to retailers early than expected.

"Though it won't be released for another 12 days, industry watchers have already projected a massive debut from the next installment in Rockstar North's prized franchise. Last October, Janco Partner's Mike Hickey projected global opening-week sales of more than 9.5 million, with 5.8 million units turning up in US consumers' hands alone. Earlier this week, Variety reported that sources within Take-Two fully expect the game to sell some 6 million units in its opening week, generating revenue in excess of $400 million."

So hijack those trucks! (just joking)

  5. No I checked both editions with 2 sites and they are still accepting orders for both editions, but 'Game', 'GameStation' and now HMV.

But the Special Edition are still available for a limited time now untill they are out.

This is applied to both version consoles the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3.

The Special Edition is the only one available now

    Regular:£39.99 (Sold Out)

Special Edition: £59.99 (Web Order Only)

    Regular:£39.99 (Sold Out)

Special Edition: £69.99 (Web Order Only)

    Regular:£39.99 (Sold Out)

Special Edition: £69.99 (Web Order Only)

  6. Two leading Game retailers 'Game' and 'GameStation' have now stopped accepting preorders for the standard edition of GTA IV. Here what 'Game' had to say:

Due to demand, we are unable to accept any further pre-orders for the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto IV, however it is still available for launch day in this excellent PlayStation 3 Hardware bundle.

You can still preorder the superb Special Edition for release day! Grab it here.

Alternatively, sign up for GTA IV Stock Updates and we will inform you when we receive more stock of the standard edition. Sign up here.

  7. Me too. :( I can't figure what I'm going, pre-order or have someone go to the store and buy it for me. ahhh. I am so depressed right now has because I have yet to get a cosole. I would pre-order it. Just what i might do. If it gets delayed than I'd be pissed.

I have vaction next week so I'll figure it then and back on forums.

The game won't be delayed now its too close to the release, if there are going to be faults on the game, then Rockstar will release a patch to fix it via Marketplace and PS3Store like they did with Bully: Scholarship a couple of weeks ago.

But Game is stopping with preorders now, I don't know about the others, but if you are from the UK and you have yet to preorder, do it soon because you will be disappointed because people who have pre ordered comes first.

  8. Well yesterday, I went into game and looked at the fake box art they got still on the shelves, and on it was stickers on each case saying to pre order to avoid dissapointment, but now its just says coming soon on them nothing else, and I talked to the manager of the store, and she said, that head office at Game told shop managers via email, to stop accepting Preorders, because they are running low all over the UK. So good luck getting one if you haven't already pre ordered.

  9. Heres what I have been reading this morning in this magazine.

    • While much is familiar, despite its total reworking (even mob-boss Salvatore Leone's cliff-top mansion returns, for instance)
    • Fittingly the bridge closures in Liberty that limit Niko's early movements are not due to hurricanes as in Vice City, or damage, as in GTA III, but because of terror threats.
    • Liberty is a fully realised reality featuring hopeless dual-fuel cars, corrupt politicians and a television output smothered by 'Americas Next Top Hooker' TV shows and imoral, sensationalist neo-conservative propaganda masquerading as news.
    • Tourist telescopes now work so you can see liberty city better from the top.
    • Yes. Rockstar is clearly hinting at new downloadable cities; and the chances of them being London, Vice or SA again are slim to none. Liberty City is the beginning. Think about that.

    Who is Niko Bellic?

Unlike GTA previous anti-heroes, Niko is not just a some small time hood with a certain morla flexability. He's a bad man, one time people smuggler, killer and all round criminal with a smurky background.

Certainly he has had a military past - which explains his handiness with sniper rifles, rocket launchers and helicopters far better than, say, Tommy Vercetti's - but not in the most clean-cut ways. There are few links to his past life somewhere in Eastern Europe in Liberty City, so his history is murky yet the few people who do know him here mean that his future is going to get pretty badly stained too.

Pulled Towards the city by the (somewhat exaggerated) tales of riches of his cousin, Roman. Niko is also on the lookout for 'a certain someone' from his past that he well, were not going to ruin it for you., but lets just say its not to return the jam jar he borrowed some sugar in from that time he had to kill someone with sugar, but had to run out. No. As Niko you'll be working every angle - from calling in favours to hacking police computers, to good old fashioned intimidation, disfigurement and mayhem - in order to locate the object of Niko's damaged affections.

Two things really stand out about Niko Bellic the man.

One, if you were to create a word that meant 'to act like bellic,' it would comeout has 'bellicose' - a word which already exists. A word that means warlike. Coincidence?

    Probably not.

Two, he's a bit older than those around him, more expirienced, more cunning. He uses this hard-won street smarts to run increasingly bloody rings around LC's gobby pretenders and faint-hearted blowhards. You can even see it in his walks - swaggers - through the city. Its part Robert De Niro in Mean Streets, part Al Pacino in Scarface... and all Rockstar, through and through.

    About the City

Liberty City is more smaller than San Andreas, but far more concentrated, more focused. And its taller, much taller, than ever before Niko's ability to shimmy alond ledges, boost up drainpipes, clamber over fire escapes - or simply whir up skyscrapers on window washing platforms - combines with this new altitude to create some truly horrifying drops. This city is more dangerous than ever before, and in more ways than you think.

Right, I have done plenty of writing so you can read it, and once I find something intresting in CVG Magazine I will post it here.

  10. Heres some info I read, it includes stuff about GTA IV aswell

    GTA IV:

DLC on XBOX Live Starting Autum 2008

So to sum it up its got everything you need to know about GTA IV and all of the other GTA's. I would scan more but its gettin late.

And its well worth the £5, plus its the most intresting ive seen in weeks.

  11. Yeah, I'm just trying to work out why it's coloured like that. Look at GTAGaming, their shot shows the HUD in the normal colour :/

Ye isn't the Armor and the Health meant to go round the map, I read it somewhere, can't remeber where.

Did you notice that he's gun is going through his arm... I really don't hope it will be just like it was in the other GTA games with that kind of stuff. And the map is different on every screenshot but I don't know why, maybe you can change the color.

I don't think R* takes screenshots of the final stages of the game, I think thats from a older version.

  12. I didn't know where to but this, but if you are a fan of GTA, then you should buy the magazine I bought today, its a full mag of GTA History, plus it mentions everything like

Sam Houser was in GTA III (The guy that owned Ammunation)

Grand Theft wasn't going to be called Grand Theft Auto, it was gonna be called Race 'n' Chase

    London 1969 was actually Manchester

And Vice City, San Andreas were just expansion packs for GTA III since all three cities were in GTA 1.

    And much More

I have also scanned the front cover for you, and the magazine only costs £5. I bought it from WHSmith, and I couldn't find it anywhere else.
