  1. Anyway I heard about these things called artifacts you get when overclocking a video card. I have my GeForce 5500 o/c'd as far as it can go. Is this an artifact or just a corrupt file?
  2. I never could get the one at the inn to work.
  3. Sounds like its a hardware problem. i.e. Monitor, video card.
  4. Charlie Daniels - Still in Saigon. No, I do not know why I'm listening to a Vietnam song.
  5. Not sure if it counts as a mission, but I do like the gang wars.
  6. You got like one of them micro atx form factor computers?
  7. Rebel Pride - Survive. I'm listening to all southern rock so whatever they play I listen to.
  8. MVI, I thought you couldn't play the guitar? Chris82, This whole time I thought 82 was your birthday or should I say birth year.
  9. Calm down there, spaz. I'm not going to tell which side I'm for ... yet. But anyway, doesn't AMD have a more efficient architecture in their chips? Also, from what I hear, Intels seems to run hotter.
  10. I have Intel right now. The only Intel product that I despise is their motherboards. They don't allow overclocking.

I just caught 5 seconds about it on the news. They should have thrown him in a cell with bubba and then see if he wanted to be in a gang.
  12. This power supply comes with a 500w power supply. I do need a power supply, everything I have is running from a 240w PSU. I'm expecting to turn on the computer some day and have the power supply kill itself.
  13. Yes, 7 fans, and they do all server a purpose. When I got the computer, the hard drive was running at around 97 degrees F and the CPU was running idle around 110. The case that it came in from gateway had some really bad cooling issues. The first thing I did before I got any fans was I turned the CPU fan around, they had it blowing away from the CPU, I turned it around got about 5 degrees off of it. I took the heat sinc off and bought the thermal paste to put on. Now it idles around 95 degrees maybe a little cooler. The hard drive worried me more, becuase its mechanical in a sense; there is something actually moving. I figured that 97 was a little too much for me, so I rigged a fan to blow right on it. Now it runs a little less than ambient in the summer I was getting around 70-75 maybe 80 when it got 100 in the room (my bedroom doesn't have any climate control) and now that its cold out, it runs around 50 (yes, it is that cold in my bedroom). Since I'm a redneck, I have one fan duct taped to an ice scraper and all of the fans came out of old power supplies so I have them all spliced together on one connector. My HDD fan is held in place with 2 paper clips and can fall out of place if you hit the side of the computer hard enough. I used solder and stranded copper wire that can safely take 300 volts - the only bad thing is, its not really meant for that and it comes apart. Oh - 2 of the fans are tied into a wall light switch that I used to have in the 3.5 bay. I could turn on the fans from the front but I figured out a way to make them quieter so I have them on all the time and the light switch is just sitting inside the case now. You really can't tell anything about the fans from the outside. You can hear them. @ spaz, I was actually thinking about filtering too. Since there is no sort of air circulation in my bedroom except for my computer that moves alot of air, all of the dust goes right in the computer. It will usually fill itself with dust in 2 weeks. If I let it go a month, there are dust bunnies in it. My bedroom can get so full of dust that I can't breathe up there and I have to run a hepa filter for a few days and not go in. Also, Best Buy does take you for a ride when they sell stuff. I'm buying the case from there it is going tocost 120. I can get it cheaper on line but my family doesn't do business online. The video card I bought was like 30 more from best buy. I got taken on it from Wal Mart but it was more expensive at Best Buy. When I find the digi cam, I'll take pics of it.
  14. You might have to try a little harder than a bb gun ...
  15. I think I have everyone here beat for fans 1 Fan for HDD 1 Fan to blow across MoBo 1 CPU Fan * 1 Fan on Video Card 1 Slot Cooler fan under Video Card 1 Rear Exhaust fan 1 PSU Fan * The case I'll be getting for Christmas has space for one more fan that I'm gonig to make some duct work for so that it blows right on the cpu. Not quite sure how I'm going to rig it up. Now I went and calculated how much wattage I'm using - turns out my PSU is right on the edge.
  16. That's about the only good one I have.
  17. We had our first snow day today. I thought it was a bad call considering we only got 3 inches of snow. Anyway, I did all of the shoveling/snowblowing thatt I had to do in an hour.
  18. I tried with tweezers. It is in too far and I don't feel like cutting my foot up like I did last time.
  19. I had to walk around a mall yesterday with glass stuck in my foot for two hours. To avoid walking directly on the glass, I walked on the side of my foot and ended up hurting my ankle and knee. I hate Christmas shopping.
  20. Well, you can get anything you want just depends on how much you pay. Myself, I think I'm done with console gaming. I'm just going to stick to pc. Soak my money into that.
  21. How is freezing rain sad? Freezing rain is an interesting thing. I won't go on but I can go on about freezing rain. It only poses a threat to traveling.
  22. That post made no sense at all. I'm assuming you get your friends mad?
  23. I'm not 16 any more. Been 17 for about a week and a half.
