  1. Not really, if I'm expecting trouble I just head over to LS Customs and armor up a Gauntlet. It can run like a sports car and take bullets like a tank.
  2. Hey, you're the one who went on about not respecting people that don't share to your opinions on religion, not me. And so what if Jack Thompson used religion to demonize GTA? That doesn't mean Rockstar should be tiptoeing around it in an attempt to make him and others like him happy. What next, should they stop taking potshots at in-game politicians because that's insensitive, too?
  3. Actually, the Sabre Turbo was unique to Vice City, the one in SA being just a normal Sabre. But yeah, the Sabre Turbo seems to be one of the rarest vehicles in the game. I've only seen it spawn during a couple of missions. But it's no matter to me, I've come to prefer this beast. If anyone knows how to make a Sabre spawn, though, I'm all ears.
  4. Read again, you'll notice I didn't diss any deities, proclaim myself anything, or say whether or not God was real. All I said is that it's my right to criticize a belief system that I view is archaic in its conception of right and wrong. You're clearly looking to justify your own intolerance. I'm saying nothing of God here, I'm talking about the people and institutions that preach on his behalf. Are you telling me the thousands of people murdered as a result of the Salem witch trials was a sign of love? How about the constant discrimination of homosexuals (both past and present) and refusal to afford them equal civil rights? How is that love? Anyway, I have nothing against you or anyone else for believing in God. That's your right. But it's also my right to question the institutions that claim to interpret his will to the masses with many not-so-loving messages. Because let's face it, God himself certainly isn't appearing to tell us anything. Whether or not I believe in God is irrelevant to this whole matter.
  5. Yeah, I have two of them. One (with a roof) in Michael's garage and one (without a roof) in Trevor's trailer garage and painted to match his Bodhi.
  6. Sure, I wouldn't mind Pastor Richards returning, he was hilarious. Remember the radio show when he shot the nudist? And respect my right to criticize a system which I believe to be archaic in its conception of right and wrong and in need of serious modern reform. Respecting one's faith is one thing, but affording it special treatment such as censoring those who choose to question or believe otherwise is something completely different.
  7. From my perspective, it's about freedom. Rather, the freedom to do as you wish at your own pace in the game world, not in any "Constitutional" sense. RDR's honor mechanic (or a variation of it) would have made a great addition to the game in this regard.
  8. What the heck is this topic supposed to be about? How are GTA Online and Obamacare even remotely comparable to each other?
  9. The people in power always want to look for something other than negligent parents or personal mental derangement to blame these things on, so they naturally try to blame the objects used (in this case, firearms) or whatever the current pop culture fad is (in the 70s it was comics, in the 80s it was music, today it's video games). I've loved and frequently been around firearms since I was young and regularly play violent video games, yet I've never had any inkling of a desire to do what those whose names I refuse to acknowledge (because that's what they want) did in places like LAX, Sandy Hook, or Aurora.
  10. I was generally satisfied with the personal vehicle selections, but yeah, the ability to choose would have been nice. I had thought with all this talk of "car insurance", Rockstar had finally dealt with the issue of losing custom or unique vehicles so easily, but no, one of the best features of the game's free roam aspect ended up being exclusive to GTA Online. Seriously, guys, THQ solved this problem with their very first GTA clone in Saints Row by making it so you have to actually choose to remove vehicles permanently from your garage, so it's about time GTA follows suit with this. Not saying SR is better or anything, so no need to jump down my throat about that, but come on.
  11. ^Good thing I kept that bulletproof Patriot, because I can drive around at my leisure. As for the topic, Shoreside Vale for me mostly due to the wooded areas, best safehouse, and common spawning of Cartel Crusers, my favorite vehicle of the GTA III Era.
  12. I'm wondering what the new weapons will be. Hopefully not anything too wacky like Saints Row does, though. Would love a Remington ACR.
  13. It does. I did this to save a second one that I transferred over to Trevor and saved in the Sandy Shores garage (since the Sandking is too big to fit in it) to be my immediate access off-road "fun truck".
  14. First off, a wiki page alone, unless it actually cites a source, isn't persuasive of anything. I don't deny that wikis are useful (as I came to this site as part of the merger with Grand Theft Wiki), but they aren't necessarily discussion-ending. Secondly, I'm not trying to be persuasive of anything, I'm just stating that this message about impounded cars supposedly being crushed never appeared to me and that of all the vehicles I've abandoned (both customized and not) throughout the course of my second playthrough, the only vehicle that appears in the impound for me is the same black and orange Bati 800.
  15. I prefer torches myself, but okay... for now. Who says it is already made? I'd love to have San Fierro and/or Las Venturas put in the game as much as the next guy, but the likelihood of it happening is slim to none. I find it funny how no one complained about games being "incomplete" until developers were actually given the ability to distribute additional content post-release to much wider audiences.
  16. No, never seen such a message.
  17. I doubt that will happen. It would take far too long and too much work to build the cities just for mere DLC. They are going to charge us for it presumably? If I am paying for a product I want it to be worth while They're gonna charge us for any DLC regardless of whether you consider it worthwhile or not, but this is irrelevant to the fact. You aren't taking into account the amount of time it takes to actually build these in-game worlds, which is a lot. That would be too much work over too long a period of time to create a mere DLC story. LS and Blaine County weren't churned out in a single weekend, it took years to build them.
  18. I would have thought the flickering tongue emoticon would have conveyed that I was only jesting. There was no offense intended. I'm 30, so I'm not exactly a young kid either.
  19. I'm not alienated, so they aren't alienating all players. Besides, there's a little thing called freedom of expression and religion isn't exempt. If one doesn't like religion being parodied, they can go find another game to play. GTA is built on stereotypes and parodies, which is among what makes it so much fun. Being PC towards anything would ruin it.
  20. I doubt that will happen. It would take far too long and too much work to build the cities just for mere DLC.
  21. I've completed the story twice, so I'm miles ahead of an old geezer like you. Or I just have too much free time on my hands. One of the two. Anyhow, here's the mission where they're used. It's early on at 2:06, so it shouldn't be too much of a spoiler unless you watch the whole thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGNxbORtFB4
  22. No, I'm not confusing anything. They're even used prominently in one version of a heist by the protagonists.
  23. The impounding seems to stop after the first couple of vehicles you abandon, with the rest afterward just disappearing as per the series standard.
