  1. Does anyone else think Tao looks like Jackie Chan? Also, what's a "Yogi" (other than an animated bear, I mean)? Amanda's artwork refers to her as a "Housewife and Yogi".
  2. What's the point in cancelling your pre-order, then? You're getting the game either way, right? Did you pre-order with Amazon or something?
  3. Yeah, you limey bastards can have your little blue PS3. I'll be soooooo heartbroken as I drive around in my $100,000 sports car. And by "heartbroken", I mean "swimming around in more ass than a turd".
  4. I'm either going to try out the SCUBA diving or, if it's not accessible right away, explore Blaine County, which may end up being my favorite area (as Bone County is in GTA: SA). The Ballas are returning and there was mention of "the Families" (presumably GSF). They were mentioned by the DJ in the first few seconds of the Radio Los Santos preview on the game's website.
  5. I agree, actually. Trevor may be the character I play as the most because he's my favorite ATM. But right now I'm of the mind that what the system gives up in terms of player immersion, it'll make up for in variety, with certain activities and whatnot being unique to certain characters.
  6. The DJ on Radio Los Santos refers specifically to the Ballas by name, so I guess that's confirmation on that front (at least to me anyway). I can only assume his mention of "the families" is referring to GSF, too. Nothing against the Ballas and GSF (I like them, I really do), but I was hoping they'd do something different instead of rehashing old gangs, though.
  7. If I can wait 12 days without my brain melting, I can wait another 12 hours or so. Look at it as a reward for a Tuesday's hard day of work, school, or whatever your daily responsibilities are.
  8. I like that old Dodge Power Wagon-looking truck in the first screenshot.
  9. Not likely. They don't exist in the GTA IV Era.
  10. Even at 15 entries, one's odds of winning are probably still over a million to one.
  11. Part of me would want to keep it because it'd be something no one else has, but at the same time part of me would want to put it up on a car auction site because chances are collectors would be willing to shell out big bucks for a one-of-a-kind vehicle. Decisions, decisions.
  12. For anyone who might be wondering, the scope on Michael's AR15 in the first screenshot is an ELCAN SpecterDR.
  13. Let me just say beforehand that I have no ill will or anything toward anyone who feels differently about trophies and achievements than I do. Each to their own. Unless there's some sort of in-game reward involved, the trophies for doing it are still stupid and useless little colored icons of no value or importance to me. I mean, it's not like anybody's PS3 Trophy or Xbox 360 Achievement collection ever got them anywhere in the physical world. Maybe if Sony or Microsoft were willing to reward gamers in some way for getting a certain amount of them, they'd be better compensation for completing difficult or obscure objectives. But as it stands, they're pretty useless unless you're just out to say "I'm better than you" to everyone.
  14. The advent of trophies and achievements has been one of the worst things in gaming for me because developers have less incentive to provide in-game rewards and think some stupid trophy or achievement is compensation enough when it's not (at least to me). Remember back when Vigilante gave you increased armor? I certainly do. But what did it give you in GTA IV? A stupid trophy and that's it. Same goes for cage fighting in TBoGT, which would have been a great way to reward the player with more damage resistance. But NOOOOOO, apparently I'm supposed to be happy with a worthless little colored icon with the words Bear Fight next to it. Maybe if I played games to impress other people with my exploits, I'd be happy with that stupid and useless little colored icon. But since I couldn't care less about what others think of my gaming habits, Sony can take those stupid and useless little colored icons and shove them. So, basically, I'm hoping GTA V has in-game rewards for these activities in addition to said stupid and useless little colored icons.
  15. I try as best I can. Gotta make Tommy V proud.
  16. Am I supposed to laugh at this? Honestly, the only urge I'm getting is to push the OP in front of a speeding bus on the highway.
  17. A good TV spot at least. It could. I'm not saying it definitely will and it is unlikely, but it could.
  18. At what rate? Only two nuclear warheads have ever been used in anger and that was 68 years ago earlier this month. It'll take a hell of a lot longer than 6 years to radiate the entire planet out of habitability at that rate. No one is randomly slinging nukes around just for lulz. Way to be melodramatic.
  19. As usual, the video game publication is going to try and shift the blame to firearms. Then after that, the NRA will retort by shifting the blame back over to video games. *yawn* As tragic and shocking as this incident is, it's a matter of irresponsible parenting. An 8-year-old shouldn't have been allowed to play GTA and granny shouldn't have left a loaded gun out where the kid could get to it.
  20. The Khamelion is only in GTA Online? Fuuuuu.... I swear, if my Vapid "Super Duty" pickup isn't in SP, I'm going to be pissed as hell.
  21. I still play SA regularly, but my "myth hunting" is largely over because I've already seen the alien disguised as an Indian guy, the trench coat guy, and all of the other strange sights (bio well, wheelchair on the dock, blue-lighted windows on the survivalist farm, etc). But I doubt myth hunters will be left with nothing to do when GTA V drops, as I expect stories of monsters, aliens, serial killers, cannibals, and so on, to spring up quickly. Although in retrospect, serial killers and cannibals are a likely occurrence in GTA V considering the latter's presence in Redemption, and I can't help but think it would be cool to have Bigfoot in the game with a 1-in-200 or something chance of spawning in the wilderness.
  22. He was? Wow, I thought this place seemed a lot friendlier as of late for some reason. lol
