  1. Hey. Firstly, there is a blip at the bottom of the tower that transports you to the very top. This is probably an easier solution to getting up there. Secondly, try gta.worldmods.de - since they have about the biggest selection of mods around, use google translate if you don't know german. Hope this helps.
  2. Read your terms and conditions. Accepting then breaking these terms is against the law. Pretty sure it's in there that you can't duplicate or distribute the files therein. Dumping the files onto your PC is duplicating the files. And again... if you're not even sure which tool to use for opening IMG files, you're probably going to end up running into a lotta problems.
  3. It's very difficult, very expensive and very illegal. Chances are if you're asking these questions, you should leave well alone. If you do go for it, you won't find any support here, sincde most common PS3 hacks/mods enable users to play non original copies of the game, whereas we'd rather you support R* and use genuine software.
  4. If I'm brutally honest, i came pretty close to hating the original Bioshock, so didn't give the sequel a 2nd chance either. Found it a bit pressured, like there was an obligation to play. IDK, but it was all a bit of a confined experience for me, blocked corridoors, broken scenery sort of pushing you around. With such a good concept and opportunity for excellent gameplay I was disappointed by it's linearity. This new title looks a bit like it's more open and there's no sense of constant peril (Don't get me wrong, I love that in a game, but for me the original got it all wrong). I prefer my gameplay to settle me in and then rip my head off. Also the engine was all a bit shit without having any counterweight of standout gameplay to make you forget how shite it was. (think ES: Oblivion). Edit: That last bit was unfair... what I meant to say was... like, you never forgot the engine was crap like you did with Oblivion, which immersed you right into the game so suddenly all the things there were to hate (there are quite a few of them, mind) go away. Bioshock always found a way to make you realise that they'd opted for making the texture a 3D lookalike in favour of modelling something properly instead of keeping you busy doing something else. New engine looks promising, but the OTT blooming is always bound to get on my tits.
  5. All the advice i can muster is this: - Check your full map and go for the closest enemy every time. - Try and get your enemy on a straight road with long, committed shooting, you don't want 1 shot to spook them and spend all your fuel chasing them. - When you have to return back to base, go no higher than 10 feet above the blip, so you don't waste fuel climbing, but have enough elevation to coast down with right at the end. Hope this helps.
  6. Rofl at CSO's. (Community support officers, basically just some guys in rozzer uniforms to constitute some sort of law enforcement to barely cover up for the shortcomings of the actual police in showing a feasible presence on Britain's streets) Yeah those guys can't really do shit. They can take your name and address and put you under temporary arrest, but have no real ability to put you under full arrest and take you down the nick, they have to call in the proper feds for that. If they ask you any questions, you can just choose to not say anything, or something along the lines of 'Go catch real criminals'. It's just a formality they go through to get them used to pushing paperwork and doing shit by the book. Chances are on the way back to the motor they see some people in hoods, call the Daily Mail and forget all about it. OT: Onmy phone, the window bar top thingy vuts off the title, so it just says 'Husky arrested for stealing...' so yeah, puts shit into perspective. Basic lesson of right and wrong.
  7. Well, my student loans grants me like £900 at the start of each school term, so I'm using some of that to boost the fund. Total build with new TV, Speakers etc, Keyboard, Mouse, and all that jazz comes in at £1700, so anything over £800 I earn is money back in my pocket in September.
  8. Edit: Because i have the best/worst job in the world and i work liek 42 hours a week (£6/ph), upgrades have been made. Such as a hex core AMD, moar RAM, SSD, a new 24" 1080p LED Monitor, and a coolermaster HAFX case. Which btw is friggin' hueg (comes with wheels supplied )
  9. This. Btw i won the lottery, see? Me: Shit dude i won the lottery Tarquin: HOLY SHIT RLY Me: YAH!
  10. Remeber kids, more money means more people to take it from you...

  11. Because i get paid every friday, and have already agreed to some of the earlier shipping dates with suppliers because they had to be preordered.
  12. Plus 2 460s was just asking to produce a shitload of heat. Build starts around 14th August, should end around the start of October.
  13. We will offer no support for pirated copies of any game, under any circumstances. It's also the most likely reason as to why you're having issues with your game. If you really want it sorted, go buy the game.
  14. OK, so given that: I've decided to scrap the sli scheme. Firstly because, I've realised after quite a while that the board I'm after doesn't support Sli, which is fine if I had the cash right now to buy a really high end Nvidia card, but I don't. So i reckon I'm going inbetween the pricepoint of 1 and 2 460's and going for a decently specced 5870. Most of the other stuff remains unchanged, going for a thermaltake frio CPU cooler, still on corsair dominator, but a slightly different kit, and that's pretty much it.
  15. Definitions of joke on the Web: - A humorous anecdote or remark intended to provoke laughter; "he told a very funny joke"; "he knows a million gags"; "thanks for the laugh"; "he laughed unpleasantly at his own jest"; "even a schoolboy's jape is supposed to have some ascertainable point" - Jest: activity characterized by good humor - Tell a joke; speak humorously; "He often jokes even when he appears serious" - Antic: a ludicrous or grotesque act done for fun and amusement - Act in a funny or teasing way - A triviality not to be taken seriously; "I regarded his campaign for mayor as a joke"
  16. Hey evo, changed the topic title, but cause of the board upgrade and shit, your whole table system's been clusterfucked. Sweet 3D integration, btw. Keep us posted on this one Kinda pissed I haven't been able to do any work for a while, but go back to college and shit soon so PC should be up in a few weeks.
  17. What, me or Husky? Husky, with his random, nonsensical input. Either way, just cool it before this turns into.. whatever this is. Like I said, I'm getting a friend talk me through some stuff and show me comparable products infront of me.
  18. Never has there been a more apt use of the phrase: STFU or GTFO Either way, I'm going to take a bit of a step back on the mobo front. Got a friend who's going to talk me through a few things directly and I'll let you know how things go. Thanks to all for now for the suggestions and knowledge until I return...
  19. Again, never had any issue with Asus mobo's, always been flawless in my experience and even if something goes wrong, scan (where i buy my PC stuff from) have awesome warranty, returns and even customer error policies so yah. Also stated before that the ATi's being mentioned are more expensive. In the same way an i7 980x will outpower the CPU i've chosen, the price band is completely different.
  20. Excuse me if i'm being a bit retarded here... but you're saying the likes of a 295 would be on apr with the 460? Anywhoo, i'll take a look at that article and get back to you. Also for the record i am planning a second 24" monitor down the line... not used for gaming, though, just for design work.
  21. If you had to recommend an Nvidia GPU, which would it be, then? People tend to go around with an elitist view, i have a couple of friends who both run GTX260s and they're pretty beefy... how come all of a sudden the higher models with demonstrably higher specifications are shit-heaps? Also figured about the athlon / phenom thing.
  22. Sweet feedback. I'll re-evaluate the SSD situation, maybe use the money to grab a faster set of HDDs. Also the Nvidias are clocking in like £50 cheaper than the 5850s where I usually shop. Also athlons have pathetic clock speeds and even more pathetic caches. I'd rather pay £30 extra for 4x the cache size and another ghz of CPU power.
  23. Husky, wut? Anyone who's interested: Downgraded the RAM to just 4 gig, but upped it to Dominator GT and slapped a Ram cooler on there. Also opting for an acer 24" Full HD 1080p display. The entire build comes in at under £900. Freakin' bargain to
  24. Right. After doing some hunting, swapping and reading up, here's what I'm at. CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 3.4GhZ RAM: 6Gb Corsair Dominator SSD (OS): OCZ Gladiator 32Gb HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1Tb GFX: Gainward NvGTX460 1Gb PSU: XFX 750w CASE: Coolermaster HAF932 MOBO: Asus Crosshair IV Formula Planning to throw in another GFX card after a couple weeks to sli, and another identical HDD dedicated to college work. This should be running through a 24" screen putting out 1920x1080(p). Suggestions, comments, reservations welcome.
