Gerard
How far have you got? How much do you know about modding GTASA? And do you mean just change the sound of the car if it's going slowly, or do you want to do stuff like stop the exhaust smoke etc?
VICE CITY
I havnt started yet but i just need a little help scripting because i never made a mod that has edited the san andreas script too much.
Spaz The Great
Uhhhhhhh...... What exactly is this going to do for a game that doesn't have fuel gages? O.o
VICE CITY
I like hybrids and i dont care if there are no fuel guages. I think it would be a cool mod.
MrLlamaLlama
Like gerard said, you need a scope, of what you hope to change for this mod, you need to know what your editing, where the files are, what they're called, something to edit them. You're in at the deep end IMHO. And you'll need something like a fuel gauge, otherwise you'll not notice, then all your hard work will have gone to waste.. And you probably need at least an intro to scripting, before you go messing with files... UI though gerard would say this, but he didnt so... DONT FORGET TO BACKUP! LoneWolf62798003
hmm, show us a picture of the specified vehicle. this might peak interest. also, I dont think you need to mess with anything. if we see a hybrid, we will think if the hybrid. all you need to do is edit the vehicle stats a little, and then you have it done. Gerard
I don't see the advantage of this mod? How will we know it's a hybrid - what is the difference going to be? Apart from just a new car model and name, at the very most a different sound, how is this going to be a hybrid? Since fuel isn't used at all ingame. Pandora
Dude, it's your mod. I'm guessing you don't have a clue about how to make such a mod. First make a plan, how the hell do you won't to make a hybrid car if the game doesn't even support fuel? What exactly are you going to mod? tilly
hey i guess you could ask some modder that has a good hybrid type car (insight, prius, whatever) if you could use his mod for your mod and then credit him a bunch on pictures and readmes and stuff, then do your little hybrid mod for the car that it is modding, then use it on some mod sites as a bundle. Call it the "hybrid conversion car mod" or something like that, just to make it more realistic. you will also need to change the speeds and gear ratios for this if you want it to be alot more realistic and actually matter, because i almost never drive cars under 20 mph in gta. And it might be better to make it under 35 mph.
