Sherman
A few imperfections, but it still has/had it's meaning. Opinions?
K9 Krew
That was pretty good, but no-one could do a NIN song better then NIN themselves.
Sherman
You mean Trent? haha, Trent does all the singing and music orginazation, and I'm pretty sure records everything by himself. Only time that changes is live... but hey, he (that dude) is closer than anyone that I've heard try it before
Sherman
I don't suppose anyone else listen's to NIN? Fail.
tilly
no i am i just didnt see this. he did it okay, but his voice was a little off. it would sound much better if he turned the volume down and did it a little louder with a air blocker.
Sherman
Yeah, heh. I think it sounds kinda cool with the air thing. Makes it not to studio-sounding.
tilly
thought studio sounding sounds much better. he could add a little reverb and a tiny bit of delay to make it sound a little more deep.
Sherman
Yeah, I mean studio's sound good, but there's a point you know it's machined and yeah. I can't give a good example, but i'd be willing to say new bands studio albums and them live, haha. I have no idea with the reverb and delay settings, not exactly sure what they are. Some things could've been stretched out a bit, though. Especially "begun" at 4:38, and the "Tracks" at 5:26 made me cringe, lol.
tilly
yeah, well that doesnt need computer, that just needs singing lessons. hes got the sorta calm style nin voice but he just needs a solid tone.
Sherman
I have to wonder if there are more of these, I'd personally like to cover 'Something I can never have', not sure if my voice is up to par with that, though.

Sherman
Ha, topic name edit. It'll be awhile, definately. Need a keyboard, and a mic. Got the program and ways to get voice plugins if needed. Is it just me, or after The Fragile and AATCHB/Still.... the music has gotten well, worse. I mean, it's different I know, but I like their older stuff a lot better than With Teeth and Year Zero. They have a few good songs, but still. I do like the meanings of YZ, or what I get out of them.
MishoM
I bought "Year Zero" the day it came out, but was sroda' let down to be honest. I liked the first 5 or so songs, but then the rest of the album wasn't to good. Anyway, I love Robin Finck, seriously best guitar player evar. Hes in Guns N' Roses now, I saw a few pics of him in NIN, he looked kinda' weird. He looks so cool now in GN'R though.
Sherman
Yeah, just a few. Was definitely experimental like he said it was gonna be. Y'know what'd be cool? A remastered version of 'Pretty hate machine'. I loved that album.
MishoM
Sky, what NIN albums do you suggest I get? I only have Year Zero, and have some extra cash left over. (Or I could just save my money and download... ) Edited July 8, 2007 by MishoM
Sherman
My favorite is 'The Fragile'... definitely. Followed by 'And all that could have been' (It's a live CD, good though.) and "Pretty hate machine" then "The Downward Spiral". Definately go with The Fragile. Two disks worth of music, and it's like $15 where I'm at.

Tuesday = Zeitgeist (Smashing Pumpkins), "The Fragile" (Nine Inch Nails) Thursday = Smashing Pumpkins Tickets, Velvet Revolver/Alice In Chains Tickets) IMMA GONNA GO BROKE!
