Righty
The motherboard on my computer went bad - having problems booting from IDE hard drive and when it will boot from IDE hard drive it refuses to see SATA hard drive ... My criteria is PCIE, 184Pin memory and onboard SATA ... are any of these any good? Once I get the money, I do plan on getting a nice PCIE card so I can do some decent gaming. Gerard
If you're asking about a motherboard, I have one answer. Gigabyte.
Righty
I looked into Gigabyte motherboards, but I can't afford one. Buying a reputable motherboard is more than I can afford right now I'll have more money around chirstmas time, but I need a working desktop/server before then. And there don't seem to be any decent computers up on Ebay at the moment

chris82
Asus pwns you. But get the first one if you're picking from those three. Athlon > Sempron and the second looks like herpes from the reviews.

NSanityHD
Righty, If your having problems booting your computer follow my simple steps \\.............................../// \\PC Booting Tips: /// \\.............................. /// Tips for Windows XP Step 1: Boot up your Computer with your Windows XP Installation CD before the Windows XP Logo boot screen appears press R (Repair) on the black screen that comes before the boot screen, repair your hard drive. If you cannot do that, install a NEW windows version (XP, Vista, XP PRO etc etc..) then once logged on, go to Start > My Computer > Local Disk © > open up System32 (System Folder) try locating the missing file that keeps giving an error (if it does). If it is there but corrupted go to Start > Run type in the search box 'chkdsk' (normally located in 'C:\WINDOWS\system32'). Run the Disk Check to find any corrupted files in your system, then repair them. I think thats it lol. (This tutorial is for the members who have system problems!)
