Guest
PLEASE STICK THIS IF POSSIBLE Hello, You may have noticed that there is another modding tutorial explaining what a GTA SA Mod is and how it takes effect on the game. Mine however is different, I will answer the largest and most common questions on this forum. I have created almost 4 total conversions to GTA SA as what is knwon as GTA Makedonija with over 19.00 GB in downloads. Here are the questions: Is it possible to make a .EXE File to execute GTA SA? I have started and have programmed the base although I have inserted an image of GTA Makedonija which I could also change if you wish. It is a menu that will open your GTA Makedonija or any other game you have in "C:/Program_Files/Rockstar_Games/San_Andreas/." I have also linked to a car spawning tool (thanking creator) which you will also need for the application to work. It must be exctracted in the San Andreas Main Directory. This is the Visual Basic Code that I used to programe this application. Dim GTAMK GTAMK = Shell ("C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\San Andreas\gta_sa.exe, ") MSGBox "GTA Makedonija Is Now Starting" You will need Visual Baisc for this code. How do I make a GTA SAMod? Firstly you need a few requirements. A stable computer with an operating system GTA SA Installed SPARK or IMG Tool TXD Workshop Open "gta3.IMG" located in C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/San Andeas/Models Choose a file from the list (Make sure thet thefile is a TXD.) I suggest that you extract "hospital_lae.txd" and you will then be able to edit the billboards in TXD Workshop How big is my mod able to be? Your mod is able to be at any size. Here is a list for modded vehicles: Basic Vehicle Mod - 2MB (TXD And DFF) Detailed Vehicle Mod - 6MB Very Detailed Vehicle Mod - 10MB TheGTAPlace is also giving a generous 50MB in mod submission for your mods. How do I edit the cars and suburbs names shown at the bottom of the screen? You will need to edit "american.gxt" in "SA DIR/text/" To edit the file, you will need a GXT Editor found in the downloads section. Search for the desired name in the GXT Editor interface. Example "Sultan" or "Ganton" And then insert a new name. Example "Majestic" to "Mercedes Cl65 AMG" Save the file and use it within the game Why is my game crashing after installing a mod? The reason for this is that you have installed a bad mod. Bad reffering to the production, sectors of the mod such as the TXD's are missing or you have incorrectly installed the mod. Why is my game crashing? GTA SA will crash if you have not installed all of the correct files or if you have not met the system requirements. The system requirements for a full GTA SA Game is: 800MHZ Pentium III 256MB RAM 32MB Graphics RAM Microsoft Windows XP or Vista 6GB free space on your Hard Drive The system requirements for GTA SA total conversion is: 1.2GHZ Pentium III 512MB RAM 64MB Graphics RAM Microsoft Windows XP or Vista 8GB free space on your hard drive How much does GTA SA Modding cost? You are able to mod GTA SA for free with the basic tools or you are able to buy larger software at an expensive price. Here is your price list: GTA SA PC Game - $20 Adobe Photoshop CS4 - $600 Autodesk 3D's MAX - $800 ----- Total - $1,020 Or use the above toold for more quicker modding. How do I promote my finished mod? If it is a small mod, post it within the download section. If it is a total conversion or a very large mod, I reccomend that you use a website. You are able to use forwarding for free with Dot.TK. Yur URL would be MYMOD.TK - Visit http://www.dot.tk. Or, you are able to purchase one for $1.99 USD, as I did, using HostingDude. Visit http://www.hostingdude.com, also includes hosting. How doI see the amountof downloads of my mod? Make sure that you have an account on TheGTAPlace. Login, click "Manage My Files" and you will have a list of your mods. Here is an expample: What are the forum codes? The basic forum codes to use while posting are: [ code ] CODE HERE [/ code ] - Used for posting a code. [ IMG ] IMAGE URL HERE [/ IMG ] - Used for posting an image. [ quote ]QUOTE HERE[/ quote ] - Used for posting a quote, mainly of another post. -------------------- POST IS STILL BEING UPDATED Edited March 8, 2009 by Guest

Deji
Umm... You only need 4GB of HD space for a normal gta install. And it's only 3GB if you don't install audio data. Btw. Next time you update the post (asap), try and remove the torrenting lines before the topic is locked

Next time you update the post (asap), try and remove the torrenting lines before the topic is locked It may only consume 6GB although additional space should be kept for a good performance and for the temporary files. Download a car from JVT Design - http://www.jvtdesgin.net You may also delete your "american.gxt" and the car will still be in the same manner. Thanks!!!!! Thats some good advice.
