You can even make a backup of your whole unmodified San Andreas folder if you have a big hard drive. That way you can play your modified version and your unmodified version. Every time I install a Total Conversion, I do that incase something fucks up in the mod and I'll have to reinstall the whole thing and it's boring. I recommend you highly to do that.
