  1. nothing much. I see you have a silly photo. :)

  2. cool, are you actually in the vid? If so at what time can I see you in it?

  3. Dominican Republic

  4. Good example but it probably is literally the ONLY industry in which that happens.
  5. They still get paid less than men when doing the exact same jobs. Which is kinda funny, not for them obviously. But my point is there's never gonna be equality in this world, be it with race, religion, gender, sexuality etc.
  6. I dunno. It's a classic system. However, I think we've moved on now, the series, and games in general. I love playing CoD4 in hardcore mode. No HUD, whatsoever. No indication of health or how many rounds left in your gun. I think it's great and makes it not only more realistic, but more of a challenge. GTA is a bit of a bitch without the HUD because it's sort of required for stuff. My point is, I don't actually care which system they use. If I had to choose I'd probably go with the new system, rings around the radar. I liked it. Maybe I'm in a minority by saying that but yeah. Oh and moved to the general GTA forum...
  7. Well the recommended is only the version above yours so it's not like there's huge differences. Granted you may not be able to play with everything on max but shouldn't be too far off.
  8. If by medium-low you mean very high, then yes. but, will i get a constant frame-rate on high? Definitely. Nice PC you have there. Should be fine with that. You'll run it smoothly on pretty high settings
  9. The Grand Theft Auto series has picked up a Golden Joystick award for the seventh year running. GTA IV picked up two trophies at this years awards ceremony, BBC 1Xtra Soundtrack of the Year and ARVATO Xbox Game of the Year. Rockstar Games also won an award, scooping CVG.co.uk UK Developer of the Year. The big winner tonight though was Call of Duty 4, check out the full list of winners over at C&VG.
  10. Posting in your thread made me think the same thing. I'll change it in a bit.
  11. Looks like you had already applied somewhere. I deleted the app though so you can apply somewhere else.
  12. That one is really easy as long as you don't spend too much time fucking around in between doing actual stuff I did it with a whole 3 hours to spare on the 360.
  13. Lol I doubt it, you don't even pass the minimum? You do realise that the minimums are basically another way of saying "this is what you require to run the game smoothly on low settings" - so you'll probably run it, but on the lowest settings, and it won't be that smooth.
  14. Ah fuck. Gotta clear out my C drive, move some of my shit into my other hard drives. I still have like 1TB free space but it's only semi-organised. C drive is nearly full! I'll be fine running it but I'm no longer so sure about running at 1680x1050 on max settings :/ It's been a long time since I had a look at graphics cards, anyone know how well my nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 320MB squares up to the recommended nVidia card there, as I've no idea? BTW it also utilises shared VRAM or some shit, dxdiag says total video RAM is 1.9GB, which leaves me with 2.1GB actual RAM free for the game. Sort of.
  15. Guys let's get back on topic. Official specs now out, first post has been updated. Anyone still not sure then feel free to post again, someone knowledgeable will help you out and let you know what to do, if anything.
  16. Following on from their hands-on preview earlier, IGN have released the official minimum and recommended PC specifications for GTA IV. They did it at the same time as officially (sort of) announcing that the game will be delayed, as was rumoured recently due to many online retailers pushing back the date to 2nd December. There's no word directly from Rockstar yet, but we suspect IGN has better sources than Amazon. We'll keep you updated if we hear anything from R* on the matter. Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900 Recommended System Requirements OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista) 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870 Still not sure if your PC is up to the job? Check our helpful forum thread. For convenience, the specs will be permanently on our GTA IV system requirements page, to save you having to find this news post. Link: IGN
  17. Of course there's gonna be mods. Yeah about the December 2 thing... no fucking clue. :/
  18. IGN recently got their hands on the PC version of GTA IV at an event in San Francisco. The game was installed on a rig boasting hardware including a Core 2 Extreme X9650 CPU, GeForce GTX 280 graphics card, and 3 GB of RAM. IGN ran the game very well at max settings on a huge screen resolution of 2560 x 1600. A reminder to what's new in the PC version: Also of note is that you can use the keyboard and mouse in tandem with a game controller, such as the wireless Xbox 360 controller, allowing you to use the keyboard and mouse for precision aiming and the controller for driving. Or whatever you like best. The article is very interesting, especially if you've got a great PC and are looking forward to playing the game. If your computer is, shall we say, sh*t, then you may find the article upsetting. Check it out at IGN.

    PHILLIES!

I guess not many fans here huh. Wait a minute. WORLD series. WORLD? They do realise it's just AMERICAN teams that play, right? America != The World.
  20. Dom's a furry. He once admitted to me that he dressed up in a giant bunny costume. True story.

  21. The uninstaller reference may have got corrupted. Try installing Firefox again, and then when it's done, uninstall it through Add/Remove Programs. Why do you want to remove it?
  22. Oh this could actually be quite epic. I have a fairly large supply of movie related gif's. Should I post them all at once or post every now and again to keep this thread going? Here are some Saving Private Ryan gifs, the last one is my favourite. Well the second one might actually be from Band of Brothers, I can't remember. If you're on a slow connection wait for them all to fully load and then watch.
