  1. Well it's not like I made any brushes myself so yeah. Didn't know if you were actually serious. Oh and if I did the borders a weird way, it's because CS4 has some quirky ways of working compared to CS3, not quite used to it yet. grunge_holly.psd
  2. Didn't darken it intentionally. I'll make it brighter later today. Maybe choose a different pic of Holly as well. Not sure how to put her in the sig and not have her look out of place. Thanks for your opinions.
  3. Many of the big gaming websites are beginning to publish their previews of GTA IV PC's multiplayer functionality. The aforementioned functionality is practically the same as the console versions, but with player limits increased to 32, and the addition of a much sought after server browser. The websites recently got to play multiplayer matches against Rockstar employees from their various studios, unfortunately they never got to test out the server browser since R* were setting up all the matches for them. Sites that currently have their previews up are: IGN 1UP GameSpy Nothing new in any of them really, but you may like to read them, especially if you don't own a console version and haven't actually played multiplayer GTA IV yet. 1UP also added 8 brand new screenshots of GTA IV PC. You can check them out in the linked gallery.
  4. GameTrailers have posted three new videos of GTA IV PC made using the in-game video editor. One of them is an exclusive tutorial on using the video editor itself: The other two are Super Niko and Get Sprunk.
  5. Look: Have I overdone the grunge there? A while ago I got all these different types of grunge brushes off DeviantArt, simply because I think they look pretty cool and I'm a fan of grunge, I know some of you hate it but yeah... Anyway since I rarely use them, thought I'd make a new sig. Thought I could mix two of the brush sets but now I'm not sure it works. Dunno if I should have used a different colour to give it more contrast. So do you think it looks a bit shit? If so, how can I make it look decent using those sorts of brushes? And if you don't like it, don't say it's good just because I'm admin - not like I'd ban you for saying it's crap... course I wouldn't do that.. Seriously though. Thanks.
  6. Don't you shave it regularly? Try shaving more than you normally do. Shaving makes the hair grow in thicker. Well I shave once or twice a week, with a normal Gillette razor. Kinda due to laziness but also stubble is good lol. I remember my Dad telling me something like that. But I came across an article last year which had the 'myth' disproven... so apparently it's just an urban legend. Not sure why though, I mean it's not something you'd make up to sound cool. I guess someone once decided to shave more often and coincidentally their hair started to grow back thicker - or maybe it's different for different people. No idea. Either way, I tried shaving like pretty much everyday/every other day when I first started getting facial hair and nothing changed so I stopped doing it so regularly. Over Christmas I probably won't even bother shaving. Dunno why but loads of men seem to do that. I did last year, looked a bit retarded but whatever
  7. Personally I think CanYouRunIt is actually a bit shit. It can be a good inidcator, but if you fail just one thing it can fuck up your whole score, even if you beat each other requirement by shitloads. For example, here's mine: That's bullshit. I barely pass the minimum requirements? The only thing I failed was that I have a dual core and not a quad core processor. If I use YouGamers' Game-O-Meter then I get awesome results. Which tbh, I'm kinda expecting, my processor really is the only thing that I'm losing out on. In the graphics department, I have 320MB of dedicated video RAM, add in shared RAM and it brings the total up to 2GB of video RAM. And of course I have 4GB of main RAM on a 64bit OS so I'll be able to make full use of all of it. Look how far ahead my PC now is from (1) the minimum and (2) the recommended specs. Neither tests are flawless. But seeing as YouGamers' is based on 3DMark 06' then I kinda trust it more. That said, I don't really expect to play GTA IV on maximum settings because I am aware my hardware isn't the greatest anymore, but I still expect the settings to be pretty high.
  8. It'll definitely be from the cell phone. You access multiplayer that way, so it'd make sense to use it for the new episodes too.

    Aussie Cars

I'm English and I like Aussie cars I like quite a lot of Australian things actually.
  10. I guess we could do, but that'll only be useful when they actually open the friends feature of the SC. Until then we can't add each other or anything.
  11. That's a small bug in the system. If you read the warn content it's obvious they're all for different posts. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though. I'll take a look at it when I can.
  12. Rockstar's Social Club has received a nice new update today. A new design and nicknames have been added to the website. The friends system and a message wall will be added in the future. Read more about friends, nicknames and Social Club 1.1.
  13. It took quite a while for people to start making decent mods for SA. Everyone (even people like JVT) became lazy and just converted their best stuff from VC to work in SA. Which is pretty cool but it would be nice to see some brand new stuff. I think it'll be a little different for IV though. I'm no modder but I wouldn't have thought the converting process is that simple this time round. But maybe it will be. Either way, there's gonna be shitloads of mods just like there were for the previous games. TGTAP is one of the best places on the web to get them
  14. The team of people working on Multi Theft Auto, the popular modification that brought multiplayer functionality to GTA III, Vice City and most recently, San Andreas, have announced that it has now become an open source project. Exciting news for those of you who still enjoy playing a bit of San Andreas multiplayer, and also those of you who are interested in contributing code to the project. The MTA Team are utilising the services of Google Code to house all development, other facilities are available via the MTA community page. No new release yet of course, the latest currently available is Developer Preview 2.3, and you can download that version here. You can read more about MTA going open source over at MultiTheftAuto.com.
  15. Merged with the old topic.
  16. Lol, oh well. I'm sure he won't mind the pic Happy Birthday mate. Hope you have a good one!
  17. heh, sorry I forgot to reply when I read it... replied now though ;)

  18. "Swings and roundabouts". Piracy actually keeps the industry going, sort of, bad thing is that companies like R* lose a lot of money due to it. But the fact it's so popular shows how much people want PC games. I don't know where you get the idea that R* has no intention of pleasing the fans, that's not true at all. They're a business and need to make money, that's true, but they're one of the few companies out there that regularly browse fansites and forums and see what the fans are saying. I'm not sure of any statistics on share of GTA games by platform, but I'm pretty sure the PC versions are as, if not more, popular than the console versions. It's in their best interest to release a PC version because despite the piracy, they still profit from it.
  19. Yeah it was Winter in terms of the Northern Hemisphere, but it's been delayed now anyway. New date is somewhere between January and April. According to Amazon.com it's $50, so that puts it at around $80 AUD, maybe more due to actual exchange rates and markup etc. but that sounds about right? There probably will be cheats for it, but if it's anything like GTA Advance there won't really be very many, just basic ones like health, weapons etc.
  20. It doesn't show what you rated the member, just what their average rating is.

  21. Sorry for the delay. Your mod has been approved now.
  22. I did see that somewhere and wasn't sure what to do with it. It's low res and no one else posted it so I didn't either :/
  23. ^ Exactly. Just to clarify... two tests... 1. When the first beta is released I'll be installing it on my personal website just to familiarise myself with all the new stuff, I'll post a link here so you guys can join and also try stuff out etc. 2. When the first release candidate is out I'll install it here on TGTAP, in a separate directory to the forums. We'll take a snapshot of the database and use all the content as of then and use it for testing purposes. i.e. it won't be a live copy of the actual forums, and no new topics/posts/members made after we take the snapshot will appear there. But it'll be a great way to make sure upgrading a viable option for us without breaking stuff and giving us too much downtime. I'll of course announce these two events separately for those interested. The first I don't care about but the second is actually quite important with us being a small-medium sized forum.
  24. Rockstar have officially announced the downloadable content now by way of a press release. The press release gives a few more details in addition to what had been disclosed to USA Today earlier. Not your typical run of the mill DLC here, seems like R* are packing quite a lot of stuff into this. The press release also confirms a 17th February release date, and states pricing information and more details will be announced "soon". Rockstar released alongside this the first screenshots of episode 1 of the downloadable content, The Lost and Damned. Of course it's running on the same game engine so no improved graphics or anything to look at. Also released was the logo for the episode, click that thumbnail for a stupidly high resolution version. Enjoy! GTA IV DLC screenshots
