Man, that was pretty hard to found. I don't think anyone with an IQ lower than 380 would be able to find it...

  2. What does everyone think about Los Santos?
  3. What will be released first. TGTAP v5 or GTA V?

  4. Visit my website more frequently or I will kill you.

  5. A forum is a much better place for fan fiction than a wiki. A forum is intended for discussion, which is exactly what a writer will look for - feedback on his/her work. So yes, you are very welcome to post your work in our Graphics & Writers Pad forum Gerard linked above.
  6. In terms of what? Modding? Yes of course.
  7. Which part? Things changed anyway, we ARE still using tgtap.com as the network homepage. A subdomain (on.tgtap.com) is now being used in place of bit.ly short URLs. We're still using the bitly service, just with our own domain name. Good for branding
  8. I literally only changed that a couple of hours ago. We're no longer using it for the network homepage - we'll be putting it to better use as our own short URL domain used when posting links on twitter and facebook (instead of bit.ly which we currently use). It will be fixed as soon as the DNS records update.
  9. Thanks, I had changed the way our database works a little and missed a line of code to fix that. It has been fixed now.
  10. I'm not sure, I had never even heard of the mod until recently as I sort of left the whole GTA scene. I of course read through their website before posting to get the jist of what the mod does, and it sounded to me like the things it does so far are (this list mostly from their features page): Put the whole SA map into GTA IV All peds All vehicles Increased draw distance Enhanced sound and physics euphoria motion Replay and clip editing system I didn't see any mention of having the storyline/missions included anywhere. That's why I assumed it was not part of the beta, I'm not sure if they are intended for the final release. If they actually get missions into the mod I think we can safely say this would be the biggest and best total conversion we've ever seen for a GTA game.
  11. Yeah I mean it's not like it's free of bugs and you can do missions(?). Yet? Lol. Good to know I wasn't the only one who thought he looked a little like Jin.
  12. If you've ever wanted to play San Andreas in GTA IV's RAGE engine, your wish has now come true. Sort of. A talented team of modders have been working hard to bring the entire San Andreas map into GTA IV, and today, they've released the first beta version of their mod. The mod itself is pretty self-explanatory, it ports the entire world of San Andreas into GTA IV. In addition to the video above, you can also check out some screenshots on their website. To start playing, you'll of course need to own GTA IV. Next, you'll need to download the rather hefty 1.11GB torrent. Full installation instructions can be found here. But remember this is a beta, there are bugs, not everything will be perfect yet. We'll be following this awesome looking mod here at TGTAP, but you can also keep an eye on their website or follow @GTAIVSA on Twitter.
  13. Take-Two Interactive last night revealed their financial results for fiscal year 2012. Unfortunately there was no mention of Grand Theft Auto V anywhere, however, part of the report makes mention of the company's outlook in fiscal year 2013 (April 2012 - March 2013), it reads: "... we have a very strong pipeline of yet-to-be announced titles in development. As a result, we continue to expect to achieve substantial revenue and earnings growth, including Non-GAAP net income in excess of $2.00 per share." (emphasis mine). Why is this interesting? It seems unlikely T2 would be able to achieve such a figure without the release of a new Grand Theft Auto title. The release of Red Dead Redemption saw income rise to just over $1 per share, the last time it rose above $2 was during Grand Theft Auto IV's release. In the Q&A session following the release of this report, James Hardiman of Longbow Research asked Zelnick if the company could achieve this figure without a new GTA title. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of T2, answered the question making reference only to already announced titles such that are building on other franchises, namely BioShock and Borderlands, and completely avoided mentioning GTA. So, while this is obviously no confirmation, it does give us somewhat of a pointer towards GTA V's release date (between April 2012 and March 2013). My personal guess? I think we could see R* moving back to the traditional October release, so October 2012. When do you think GTA V will be released? Let us know in the comments. On a related note, the following video, courtesy of my friend Adriaan, is a humourous dramatisation of the question and it's answer. Enjoy.
  14. Just upgraded the forums to 3.2.1 which is primarily a bug fix release. IPB say "More than 170" bugs fixed in fact. If you guys see any strange errors when posting or whatever then post them here so I can look into them.
  15. The topic is fine here. You'll probably want to rename the topic now, to something more descriptive as to what you're looking for
  16. None. I've thought about it but I've no idea what I would get or even why I would get it, or where I would have it. Yours looks pretty cool though.
  17. Ok everyone I think I've fixed all the major errors. In the last 10 mins the following things should have been fixed: Calendar didn't get upgraded from 3.1 - it is now upgraded to 3.2 Some pages in seemingly random topics would fail to load due to a database error A couple of days ago I also fixed the issue with lots of avatars that were missing. They should all be back in place now. The bug that Evo mentioned: posting in some topics would not refresh the page on successful post, resulting in double posts etc. still seems to be here. I'm looking into it now but there are no errors anywhere so it's almost impossible to pinpoint what's wrong. Let me know if there are any other topics where this is happening.
  18. Oh yeah, I see now. Will look into it. Genuinely have no idea why it's happening, nothing relevant is appearing in error logs so it will take me some time to figure it out.
  19. Seems fine to me, Evo.
  20. Tbh, probably will turn off first post authentication it seems to be hindering us now rather than helping. See how it goes anyway. Evo I'll look into that. Recent posts is now "View New Content" tab at the top right. There's loads of filtering options on that page now.
  21. There are many advantages of keeping everything under one domain. I think you'll find that the vast majority of websites do this, and it is not "unprofessional" to do so, nor is it an afterthought.
  22. Updated the skin a little

    1. Samil

      Samil

      A lil' bit sexier.

  23. Have now modified the default skin so the colours are darker and match our style a bit more. It's not completely finished. But it should do for now until I have more time available to spend on it. Let me know if there's any massively retarded looking styles left over I'll try and get them fixed ASAP.
  24. This looks shopped. Tell from pixels. Etc.
  25. I will recode the old skin to work with this new layout but I have more important work to do before that. This new skin is a lot cleaner and slick than the old IPB ones though. And it's the first default skin I've actually liked. I can tell you that we'll be using this as the base template and, at first, simply change the colour scheme to better match TGTAP's homepage. Once that is done we'll start looking into seeing what else could be customised to satisfy you, the users, more.
