  1. Here's my Experience: Windows 95: Fucking Socked Mother Cock. Windows 98: Had it for 7 years, loved it. Never used Second Edition, though. Windows 2000: Never used it. Windows ME: Fucking Sucked Mother Cock, but better than 95. Windows XP before SP2: Really wasn't that great. Windows XP SP2 and SP3: Both are AWESOME, but SP3 seems a little slower. Windows XP 64-bit: Hated it, no support. Windows Vista 64-bit: Decent OS, not much support troubles, but for people who know about PC's, all the auto-stuff is pretty annoying. Windows 7 Beta: Used it for 3 hours, and all I remember is how I hated the new desktop configuration and taskbar.
  2. yeah thats dodgy. i got it and it wouldnt install properly. then , i would go to press shutdown and nothing happened...so i had to turn it off by holding the power button... the only way i could fix it is by running the recovery program on my laptop (has recovery partition - ghost image of laptop as it was when i first got it), i had to backup all my stuff to a external hd and then install half the stuff again...so annoying. ive never bothered with vista themes again. Funny, Works fine on my Pc, been using it from the past 6 months I guess haven't had a problem so far. Lol'd, So your the Ray bob they talk about. What?
  3. I have XP x86, and I love it in every way possible. Looks great, fast, etc. I've only used Vista once, on my friend's PC to defragment it, and was quite dissapointed by there not being the normal drive space graph. Kinda left a bad taste in my throat, but if it's just that one thing, I can get over it. When I get Vista, I will definetly be using the classic theme. I'm using it on XP now, and I think it looks great. It'd probably run a bit faster than the aero theme anyway...... Oh, can Vista run in 24-bit color, or will I have to use 16 because my monitor can't handle 32?

    LOL, funny

That's a pretty fucking good quote, if they only knew... I'm pretty sure that my first PC from 1999 had a 366-MHz Deschutes Pentium II. Actually, it might have been a Dixon core.... Meh. No, wait, the Dixon was a mobile CPU...... K then, it must have been Deschutes. Well anyway, I had that PC until the summer of 05, and by the then it was truly slower than hell.
  5. Well, I don't have Vista, but let me estimate what mine would be: Processor 1.7 (AMD Athlon 64 2800+) RAM 0.2 (512MB DDR 400) Graphics -349.8 (64 MB Onboard Shit) Gaming Graphics -(Sorry, the number won't fit on the page) Primary Hard Disk 0.5 (80GB ATA100 Shit)
  6. LOL, third topic in a row, no more after this. But anyway, I've been having major problems with my PC lately. (Thank God I'm getting a new one soon) I am fearing that either my CPU or HDD are beginning to fail, and I know for a fact that my PSU is getting old, which may be the reason for all these faliures. My HDD has been getting progressively louder and slower. All the programs I run are saying that it is fine though. However, I tend to have a knack of predicting these things. Here is a pic of my HDD, SpeedFan, and CPUZ Information. DXDiag Info is also uploaded here. LOL, as I am sitting here uploading to Photobucket and uploading a .TXT to here, it's freezing. Just for extra info, my PC has become so slow at booting, that I am forced to hibernate it every time instead of shutting it down. DxDiag.txt I had run an Error check, and got 40% of the way through Green before my PC reset itself, but was too lazy to do it again. As you can see, my HDD was painfully slow, even with nothing other than a few background processes running. And apparently I must have been right about something, because shortly after capturing that photo, my PC reset itself. Then, 45 minutes later, it reset itself again. What is weird about it resetting itself is that the boot screen shows only my Mobo and IDE info, but doesn't show the Memory or CPU information, yet boots anyway. My HDD is a Samsung SP0802N running at ATA100. 20 minutes later, it reset itself again, and this time, when Windows began to boot it gave me this error: The print is very small, so I wrote down the important information. MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION ***STOP: 0X0000009C (0X00000004, 0X80546E70, 0XB2000000, 0X00070FOF) I reset the computer like it said, and booted up fine and normal, but I have NEVER had anything like this happen before, and don't know what to make of it. EDIT: Fuck that whole thing, the Pic looks fine on here. That pic is very weird though, because I didn't remove or add any hardware. Perhaps my HDD was having another problem. As for my memory being weird, after using my PC for a period of time, when I boot shortly after shutting it down, the BIOS takes nearly 20 seconds to detect my memory. Windows constantly gives me a Virtual Memory Too Low warning. Now for the CPU. My CPU runs standard at 9x200 MHz. I have had it at a stable OC of 9x223 MHz. (Ran ORTHOS for 8 hours before I stopped it) It only got as high as 53.2 Degrees Celsuis. The norm w/o OC is 38. With the voltage at 1.55, it's 43. With the Voltage and OC, it's normally 44.5. CPU-Z saw the voltage as fluctuating between 1.552, and 1.568V. Before my PC first reset itself, SpeedFan told me that my CPU fan was at 4100 RPM. Highest Ever. I had never before seen it over 3475, or below 3125. My CPU cannot get over 9x225 MHz without not passing the POST. Part of this could be becasue it also OC's my AGP and PCI from 33/66 to 37/74. Just to make this clear, tha standard voltage is 1.5, I have it at 1.55. Now for what I think is the problem causing all this, the PSU. From the picture above, some of the voltages are very weird, and the +12V is a bit low. I've seen it as low as 11.68, and things such as the Second +5V, the -5V, and the -12V are just crazy, and have been even weirder than that before. I have a 350W PSU from 2005. Also, related to the PSU or not, I find it necessary to mention that once powering off the PC, you cannot power on without waiting 20 seconds, or you will see a white, pink, and dark green striped screen, and a PC that didn't pass the POST, yet didn't make any beeps. Though SpeedFan said only 1 fan was working, I happen to know for a fact that my 2 system fans and PSU fan are all turning at full speed. So, my PC has been having many problems lately, from all hardware, and I don't know what the central cause is, if there even is one. However, my Hunch tells me that it is my PSU screwing up my motherboard, and thus fucking everything else. If anybody out here has any suggestions to get this stuff to stop (Namely the self resetting, which can't be my CPU overclock, as it ran ORTHOS for 8 hours) please let me know, and also please explain to me what that failed boot meant. If you guys need any more information, just ask. Thanks, Raybob
  7. Well, if you can direct me to a 10k HDD under $140, with a capacity of at least 64GB, and reads Windows faster than that SSD, then sure, I'll take it. It also needs to consume as little power as possible, and last at least 4 years. All the Velocirapters I find are SCSI/SAS, and my Mobo only has SATA, and a controller would put me incredibly far out of budget.
  8. 1) This drive is rated at 175MB/s Read Speed 2) It should still last a while, and normal HDD fail easily too. 3) Yeah, expensive, but my choice is this 64GB Drive for $140 and 2x performance, or a $100 640GB Drive I'll never use. I AM Planning to get a Samsung 1TB SATA Drive. As I said, this SSD is for Windows ONLY. All Music, Games, Pics, Apps, EVERYTHING ELSE will be on the 1TB.

    LOL, funny

I know, but it's pretty weird to see an article like that in 2009.....
  10. Read this article: http://news.cnet.com/Pentium-II-to-hit-366...1_3-278776.html
  11. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820220341 Does that SSD (32GB) have enough storage for me to comfortably partition it in half, install Vista 64 and Ubuntu to it and use them with enough swap space to keep the performance up high? Also, will this drive last a while? (Like 3-4 Years, or more) EDIT: Screw Ubuntu, 1 partition for Windows Vista 64 only. This drive needs to last 4 years, be the active Windows drive, keep its speed of 170 Read/100 Write MB/s, etc. Holy hell, I just realized that I've been trying to build this PC for over a month. No wonder things keep changing......
  12. Agreed. It's impossible to take it seriously though when everyone around you is a fucking asshole. LOL, relating to that, nice signature Chestnut:
  13. Dude, everyone else is right. If everyone else was robbing places, would that make it OK for you to do it too? And here's what my school would do to some of that. (Some may not be neccesarily worse. And I have reason to believe that some of that is exaggeration) But the following are not exaggerations. Experience from some of my classmates. (In my 8 years of school, I've gotten a few HW Detentions (3:00) , 3 4:00 Detentions, and 1 in-school for defending myself when some kid tried to punch me.) Ray did not report to Lunch Detention: 1 WEEK 2 hour Detention Ray skipped class: AT LEAST 1 Week Out of School Suspension. Ray did not report to his bus: 3 Days 4:00 (2 hour) Detention. Ray sat at the wrong lunch table: 1st offence, 2 days lunch detention. 2nd offence, 2 weeks lunch detention. ANY PHYSICAL CONTACT: Ranges from 1 day in-school to expulsion. (Usually 3 days of Out of school) My school is so strict about this I'm surprised that they haven'tgone as far as deportation. Threw something at lunch: Either 1 day in-school or 1 week Lunch Detention. And my school, is not a bad school either.... We have something like: 88% students proceed to college, 95% pass ELA/Math Exams, and I think in my class, 73% of the kids had an average of over 85%. You've made the worst example I've ever seen Raybob. I'm not dumb enough to do that lol. Anyway what school do you go to? Let me guess a big ass school that looks like a collage witch takes up 4 city blocks, a magnet school? I should start calling you Jr. Bill Gates I live in a town with less than 13,000 people. My school has ~700 kids divided up through 3 grades. Looks like a college.... Yeah, no. This is sweet, first Llama, and now you.
  14. It is quite tempting. Dude, everyone else is right. If everyone else was robbing places, would that make it OK for you to do it too? And here's what my school would do to some of that. 15. Dude the fuck with that Upload. Funny, I have fiber-optic and it's only a 10mbps connection. My ISP also offers 15mbps, but it's too expensive. Then again, due to my fucked PC, you might as well say my internet speed is limited to about 5kbps.
  16. Nice choice of car. On topic: Glitch, has never happened in my game. Start a new one and see if it's still there. If not, it's a glitch in your save game. Albeit a pretty cool one.
  17. I'm not quite sure what words to use that would accurately describe this. So, I'll do it with emoticons.
  18. 7 hardly has ridiculous requirements, and Vista's aren't that bad either. It's not Microsoft's fault if your computer is an outdated piece of shit, you'll just have to keep using your outdated piece of shit operating system. LOL, yes, my System sucks. And XP is a great OS. I like 7, my friend has it, and I borrowed his Laptop for a few days, but Vista, to me, doesn't seem like a great OS.
  19. MUST you constantly post stupid shit? I'm expressing my feelings about Vista and 7 having ridiculous requirements. This is truly a miracle to be cherished forever by Windows users, and hated forever by Mac and Linux Users.
  20. Simple answer. Don't goof off in class, and this won't happen again.
  21. Corrections made. A while ago. Forgot to post the notification.
  22. You can watch a lot of the old '90's Nickelodeon shows on TurboNick too. I also saw Rocket Power and Rugrats, and the Wild Thornberries on there.
  23. LOL, i'd get 7, but my PC doesn't meet their ridiculous requirements of..... What was it? Something like: 3.2 GHz 12 Core CPU 16GB DDR3 RAM 3GB NVIDIA GTX 295 SLI GPU Something like that.....
  24. Well, first I got up bright and early at 6:00 in the morning as usual, then went to my school's commended breakfast for honor roll students (I called it the Condemned Breakfast =) ) My current Quarter 3 grades are: (Of 100) French: 91 (I would have 97, but got a 0 on a unit test, because I forgot my pencil ) Accelerated Science: 98 Band: 93 Social Studies: 98 ELA: 81 (Don't ask, LOL ) Health: 100 Math: 100 (Oh yeah baby. Major upturn after a disappointing 93 on my Midterm.) Then, school was actually a pretty good day, had a fun skit practice after school for French, then I had to go to the High School where my Mom teaches and watch her students act out funny poems. LOL, weird day.
