Chestnut, I like your idea but it's just with a topic everyone can post in it, it's kind of more convenient... no one's ever had a problem with it before as far as I know, and to me it doesn't really seem like it's being flooded, I think it's an appropriate section for that type of topic, so if there's 100 birthday topics in a row I think it would be fine.
