This is it, all year us Australians have been waiting for this one day in September. Which happens to be the 29th. The two best teams this year have been fighting there way to this day. The two teams are Port Power and Geelong.
Leading into the Finals Series, Geelong had a win/loss record of 18/4. Their percentage was a massive 152.76, and they finished 12 points, or three games clear of their nearest rival Port Adelaide on top of the ladder. Port Adelaide narrowly edged out West Coast for second spot on the ladder after their win in the final round of the season. They finished with a win/loss record of 15/7 and a percentage of 113.54.
Geelong met the Kangaroos in their Qualifying Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and thrashed their opponents by a massive 106 points. They earned the second week of finals off, and progressed straight through to a home Preliminary Final at the MCG. It was there that they met Collingwood who had just come off an extra-time win against West Coast in Perth, but the Cats only just managed to outlast the Magpies to win by 5 points and progress to their first Grand Final since 1995.
Port Adelaide faced a tough match against reigning premier West Coast at AAMI Stadium in the opening match of the finals series. In an enthralling encounter, Port managed to get home by just three points and book a home Preliminary Final, and a weeks rest. The Kangaroos bounced back from their demolition at the hands of Geelong to beat Hawthorn in the second week of the finals and book a date with Port. After a close first quarter, Port Adelaide flexed their muscles and eventually ran away 87 point winners to reach their second Grand Final since their admittance to the AFL.
In a weeks time, both Geelong and The Power will clash at the MCG, at 2:30 AEST.

Who will you be supporting on this day? I know that I'll be backing Port.
