Arcade Fire - The Suburbs I still struggle to truly like this album. There are good songs, but the bombastic nature of their old songs is gone from this album, which disappoints me being a huge AF fan. I hope the next release harks back to albums 1 and 2.

It's real nice, good job. The colour of the outer edge is excellent, just like BOGT, the lighting looks professional, and I don't know what's in the background but it looks good whatever it is. I'd give that 8.5/10.

The t-shirt sounds good. It's either that, or the one with the novel which will be left on a shelf, or the standard limited edition with no t-shirt or novel. I'm happy the destructible buildings are gone, because in BC2 almost every building looked the goddamn same, there was hardly any variety at all. Not sure about the squads, would be disappointing if they're gone.

*Cough* I ordered Medal of Honor Limited Edition 2 weeks ago too, forgot to mention that. Ordered it for under £40 from Zavvi. Not sure if it'll come with the MOH novel as well, or just the other stuff, but even if it did I would just leave it on a shelf somewhere.

What game did you recently buy? Post up a pic of it here, with how much you got it for, and how you feel about the game. I bought Kane & Lynch 2 Dog Days today, the Limited Edition for £13.99 from GAME, which is an excellent price for an in store game. The game isn't nearly as some people have suggested. It's certainly better than the original, with a cover system that works and slightly more powerful feeling weapons. I can't deny the guns aren't that powerful at all and have a lack of 'punch', but some feel better than others. The graphical style always keeps your attention, and the harsh sounds of the game and distorted images add a lot to the atmosphere. There was only 2 copies of the LE left which I could see, and I had cash so thought why not. Also, I bought MAG for £10 second hand from CEX Exchange when I travelled up to Staines recently, and it's good but it just takes a while until you believe you're of any importance. I'm only level 7 or 8, you need to be at least level 30 to start feeling important, so bit of a grind in that respect but well worth getting for £10.

Well you COULD download free games, but then Sony will detect you've got one, or more, for free and will ban you from online, possibly an I.P ban so you can't get on PSN again. Also, even if they don't I.P ban you, their firmware updates will be frequent and will stop your freely downloaded games working. The risk is so much higher than the reward, not worth it.

No, their company didn't produce the second one, and they also underwent a name change, back to Irrational Games which is what they were called before 2K Boston. I don't think he left them, or if he did, then he's back with them now judging by the interviews out there with him talking about BS Infinite.

The first was widely recognised as being a masterpiece by hundreds of websites and magazines, and millions of fans, and it deserves a place in everyones games collection. It's linear because it's story driven, and because the world is so believable and interesting, you forgo how linear it is because you can't wait to get to the next point of the story. The sequel, not nearly as good, basically more of the same, but it has some interesting underwater sections, and a decent story. It's dirt cheap now so worth picking up along with the original. This game is being made by the people behind the first game, so it should be very good.

So people aspire to be crude, chauvinistic, jingoistic, alcoholic, and gun-fanatical lunkheads who parrot lines other people have written? Did I ever mention how much I hate other people? Granted that it's all tongue-in-cheek, but I live in the South and have to suffer this breed of morons every day. Well, at least until I started attending college and pleasantly found out that those guys were too stupid to follow me. I mean, I'd love to be that for a day, see how people react around me. It's just the feeling of being a muthafucker that doesn't give a shit, that takes absolutely no shit from anyone, and is generally an asshole but not overly hateful - tongue in cheek like you said. He's got more balls than almost all other game characters, both literally and metaphorically. He's a wise cracking ass kicking mofo man, that's why people like him.

It absolutely wasn't worth it, the amount of restarts the developers made was ridiculous, but it doesn't change the fact a lot of people loved the 3D game in 1996, and I'm sure they're looking forward to this coming out. It's mainly down to the stupid creative director, deciding each and every graphics engine wasn't good enough for the game, and subsequently re-doing most of the whole game again. That stuff should be saved for sequels, which are meant to improve things, not for one game FFS. Madness. As for the character, Duke himself was one of the first of his kind obsessed with women, guns, booze, etc etc, and because he's so OTT, I presume loads of people wished they WERE him. His one liners help as well, which are taken from quite a few movies. It looks like there's more of the same in DNF, which apparently has a 'Beer' button, and opens with you standing in front of a urinal, telling you how to pee.

Well, what can I say? The longest gaming development cycle in history is basically complete, and the full DNF game will be released in 2011.
