  1. No, not really. In all honesty, I own three games for my Wii. WiiSports, WiiPlay, and WarioWare. I mostly play games at Chestnut's house((for I'm hardly ever home)). We have Guitar Hero III and it kicks ass. The did an excellent job on the guitar. Usually third-party peripherals don't account for things like wrist straps and maybe special backings. With the rechargable battery and hand strap on it fits just fine.

Godfather DOES look like a good game, and I DO want Manhunt 2. If you get a Wii and buy these titles before me, tell me how they turned out. I'm sure Manhunt 2 at least is a decent game. The only Rockstar title I've actually questioned was Table Tennis, but supposedly that's a good game, too.

Well I got my hands on a Wii today...but it's my sister's Christmas present.

Does the Wii Sports pack limit what you could do or does it change anything about the Wii? Because I think my sister wanted something called "Party", but I think my mom got that mixed up with Mario Party 8, which my sister wanted also.

  2. So, how is it? Have some of the more violent kills been taken out? Opinions please. :)

I still haven't played it yet, I'm stuck on one of the last missions on the first one. I heard they just lowered the graphics a bit.

  3. I've been thinking of getting a Wii. Is it worth buying???

I guess that depends, really. Quite frankly I love it. If you like Zelda, Twilight Princess was definitely a great game. The new Mario looks pretty decent to me. The Paper Mario for Wii is also suppose to be pretty cool, way different than the first one. Not to mention that Nintendo's online gaming is finally being taken advantage of((I remember hearing the GC had like ONE online game.....)). Guitar Hero III is pretty kickass, I honestly think it's a first for a franchise buy-out. Super Smash Bros. is going to be online.

Have you played any games like Scarface, The Godfather or Manhunt 2 on the Wii?

  4. Well it's live. I can also point out some other little features:

    * New chat room with some extar features and a different style.

    * You can watch the trailers you are downloading.

    * You can sort your games, demo's etc...

That's all the extra's I've found so far.

Yeah, I'm glad you could finally organize everything.

  5. Voice actors would be a lot better, but a couple of people have posted here before looking for some and I believe just ended up subtitling as it was easier for them, plus not many seemed to want to lend their voice. By all means post a voice actor request here, you never know you may get a few respondents. If one is great with accents then he/she can voice many characters.

Yeah, my one friend was really good at different accents, but he hasn't replied to my E-mails yet. I want to finish filming the first season first before I get voice actors and actresses. It'd be much easier that way.

  6. I don't actually know. Many people were dubbing this the 'Xbox Live killer' but I guess it was just the rumours that got me excited. In game XMB would of been nice but I don't mind.

Yeah, that's what I've been waiting for too. I want to be able to play some of my music while playing a game.

  7. Well I hope it's still coming out some time in March like retailers are saying. I don't think I'll be able to handle it if it gets released later than March...well...maybe I can, but still.

Now that I really think about it, maybe a later release date than March is better...at least for PS3 owners. Since Home is supposed to come out in March that'll give PS3 owners some time to play that while we wait for GTAIV.

  8. I'm currently working on a new GTA video series and I want to know whether or not I should make the video series a certain way.

The first main thing I want to ask is, do you think I should use subtitles or should I try to get voice actors and actresses?

If I were to use subtitles the videos would get done faster, but voices are usually better to have so viewers don't miss anything while they're reading subtitles.

In addition to this, if anyone here is interested in voice acting, please post here or PM me.

I don't want to give out too many details about the series right now, but for those of you that know anything about the series I'm working on, please keep it a secret.

If I want any more opinions on how I should do certain things with the series, I'll post here.

  9. Firmware 2 Details:
Hi everyone. Here’s a preview of the next PLAYSTATION 3 firmware update (2.00) scheduled to release within the next few days. This update contains features that will allow you to receive news directly from us on everything PlayStation, enhance the way you access and organize your media, and allow you to customize your XMB in new ways.

Here’s a closer look at the new features:

You’ll notice this icon in the Network category of the XMB. This is the Information Board.

I'm too lazy to upload the image :P

Once activated, you’ll notice scrolling headlines in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. We’ll be delivering the latest news on new games, PLAYSTATION Store updates, hardware, accessories and lots more through the Information Board. Click on the Information Board icon and you’ll be able to see all of the headlines and click through for more detail. The headlines and associated stories will be updated on a regular basis. You can choose not to display the Information Board, but you never know what you might miss, so I’d recommend keeping it on.

We’ve added a nice enhancement to Remote Play called Remote Start, to use Remote Play locally or from a Wi-Fi hotspot, you needed to make sure that your PS3 was on. With Remote Start this is no longer necessary. As long as your PS3 is in standby mode, you’ll be able to turn your PS3 on remotely via the PSP. You can then use Remote Play to access media on your PS3, and when you’re finished you can put your PS3 back into standby mode.

Another feature we’ve added with this update is the ability to set themes on your PS3. Themes will change the whole look of your XMB; the background, icons, and in some cases sounds on your XMB will completely change. We will be providing themes on PlayStation.com and through the PLAYSTATION Store. Once you have downloaded a theme, under Settings go to Theme Settings, select Theme and then choose a theme to display or install a new theme. We are also providing the ability for you to get creative and make your own original themes.

We’ve also added a new way to organize your photos and music on the PS3 - you can now create custom playlists for all of your music and photos.

Finally, regular readers of this blog may have noticed that I’m using a new avatar. You will see that logo above on your XMB representing the new PLAYSTATION Network category. You’ll find the PLAYSTATION Store and Account Management in this category.

Not the "heavy hitter" that we hoped but oh well. Now I can't wait till firmware 2.1!!! :P

Thanks for posting this. I couldn't get to that news portion on the site until just now.

I'm not sure about you, but I like these updates. I've been waiting for some of these for a while now. What were you expecting?

  10. Playing the PS2 version of The Sims 2. Not a bad game, haven't beaten it yet. Got close once, but couldn't transfer the data from my memory cards over to my PS3.

Still haven't played Manhunt 2 because I'm stuck on a portion of the first.

  11. This has to be the most retarded one I've seen yet. It ask you one question and if you put the same name in twice you get totally different answers. They should just have the "Submit" button. It'd work just the same.

  12. Sweet. Finally done. What day did it come out exactly. Because it couldent have been when you posted this if OGTAM bought it on the 30th.

It was supposed to come out on Halloween in the US, but we got it a day earlier at my Gamestop, on the 30th.

  13. @OGTAM: If it has been completed, then it hasn't been posted at this site yet. So big deal if we post it? I called it "New" because it seemed "NEW," it was completed some time ago yet not posted at quite a few big-name GTA4 websites. It was also JUST posted at sites like Kotaku.com, and PSU, so big deal if we're all a little late. Jeeeeeeez. Looking at some of the comments, it's "New" to others as well.

I read some where on this forum that it was finished. Read it around the 20th or something. Even so, why wouldn't you just post in the topic that was already posted? That would make sense. ;)

  14. Well the advertisement is now complete. That and there hasn't been much news other than those sort-of interesting dummy boxes, so I though I'd post. If you don't want to read it, ignore it. ;]

Well when you put "NEW" and "GRAFFITI", I assume it's something totally different...and NEW. It's not new. It was done around the 18th of October.
