  1. Lemme just say as a fellow American that American football is rugby for pussies.
  2. GBA was also nominated, but LittleChestnut didn't enter and kokane is MIA.
  3. 2.5 x 2 = 5....... Aww... I missed my 9,000th.... However.... That's because I didn't realize I had 9,000 posts. Wow. Hey, just because he invented the English language doesn't mean he knows jack about math.
  4. Chevy, due to the fact I own an S-10 pickup. However, I've only driven a Ford Taurus...and I kinda hated it, although for other reasons.
  5. Agreed. However, I FUCKING LOVE Fort Minor...and like the Flobots. Just a little bit. That guy is a moron. RATM were NEVER nu metal. Rap and funk metal, sure. But never nu metal.
  6. How about Hawaii? Its location is excellent for the American, Australian, and Asian members! Granted, our European members will be kinda screwed.
  7. Either buy them in stores or over Xbox Live. It's done the exact same way you buy subscriptions.
  8. Country: United States Territory/State: Tennessee City: Greeneville
  9. Alternative makes no goddamn sense because it's contradictory. Since every band nowadays is "alternative", it's the norm, completely negating the meaning of the word.
  10. Genres, or more specifically subgenres, shoehorn people into conforming to strict formulas and the like. Besides, they've brought nothing but endless bands that label their music whatever the fuck they like because the singer has a different pitch or the drummer has a hip-hop style of drumming. Not to mention every single argument concerning certain bands and whether they're metal or not. Who fucking cares? If I hear guitars and drums and it's palatable, I'm calling it rock. I don't give a fuck if they're funk, metal, acoustic, emo, grindcore, sludge, industrial, or any other fucking useless-ass (sub)genres you wanna name.
  11. Huh, they don't seem emo to me. That's the problem with "emo" bands. Anyone with a rock band and a voice that sounds the slightest bit pop-ish immediately gets classified as emo and none of the actual emo bands want anything to do the the genre, sorta like nu metal bands. It's just more accurate to say post-hardcore is the real emo music and the stuff that gets classified as emo today is pop punk.
  12. I come to this place so much, it should be my homepage. Granted, I don't post as much as I used to, but I can't really imagine not coming here. It's such a vibrant community. Plus, this is the only forum I haven't been banned from.
  13. .... By your definition ALL bands are destined to fall apart. DUH? By your definition ALL bands are rapping about "rapin' bitches and poppin' caps." Umm... Duh... I wouldn't want Dragonforce to die if they make a song that sounded different from all of there other songs. Same with Linkin Park. Minutes to Midnight. They've altered their sound so much that half of the fanbase is still bitching about it a year and a half later.
  14. Internet toughguys. This coming from a (former?) internet toughguy.
  15. No, that was just Zack's side project. I thought it was pretty good.
  16. Have you even really listened to any hip-hop or just what elitist metalheads tell you? (Though, that actually wouldn't be too far off from those particular two groups' subject matter.) EDIT: Zack left RATM because of creative differences, but they're back together.
  17. Let me just say that LP is one the few listenable rap-rock acts besides RATM and early Incubus to come out of the late 90s-early 00s. I appreciate the fact they experimented with their sound, have a decent rapper who doesn't rely on gratuitous hip-hop slang and cursing, and aren't wiggers trying to be edgy by combining bland rap lyrics with bland guitar riffs. (As of M2M, at least.) UNLIKE Hollywood Undead. They fucking suck and I have no idea how these guys got popular. Oh, yeah. They originated on Myspace, didn't they? I've only heard "Young" because it came with RB2, but I damn sure don't hear it again. These assholes are trying to bring back the Limp Bizkit-esque shit we were all subjected to ten years ago. Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish were insufferable bullshit back then and guess what? Time has not changed things. EDIT: Tilly, D12 and Three 6 Mafia have been around since the mid-90s. They aren't going away anytime soon. Granted, Proof is dead and Three 6 Mafia have since moved on from horrorcore to hip-pop, but still.
  18. Okay, I have serious issues with this statement. They're gay for what reason? Because last time I checked, every single one of them (excluding the drummer) is married. Why, because their lyrics are pretty angsty and speak towards their fans? And commercial? Big deal, their debut album sold 24 million copies, which is a hell of a lot more than most bands formed in the past decade can say. Angsty? Sure, if your a 9th grade emo chick who's on her period. And yeah they are commercial and over rated. Weird, I became an LP fan in 9th grade. Then again, freshman year sucked ass. Their music was therapeutic for me. Anyway, you can't listen to "Breaking the Habit" and "Nobody's Listening" and say they're not talented. Fuck the former's (pretty damn good, imo) music video, the song alone is worth a listen to anybody who's a fan of electronic rock. Plus, the latter is a pretty damn excellent rap song. Then again, I'm a sucker for anything incorporating a shakuhachi. I'm not trying to make a fan or even like them, I'm just saying don't EVER call my favorite band gay for any reason. And before you ask, there are other, BETTER bands I like. EDIT: Looking back at this topic, nobody bothered to speak against the Linkin Park hate until I did.
  19. LOLOLOLOLOL Anywayz.... All us elite-staff-members can see who won right now I'll give out the winners for 50,000 forum cash per name given. Charge extra if that name won multiple awards.
  20. Dr. Pepper is independent, not owned by Pepsi. And Coke... It has a nice bite, great for an early morning drink. Double whammy. It was once owned by Coke....dammit. However, I do prefer Pepsi's drinks to Coke's counterparts. Mountain Dew, bitches! (Please let me be right about that.)
  21. 1600 Microsoft Points costs $20. The TLatD is NOT free. I don't even know how you got "free" from that statement, Husky.
  22. Coke. As for the other sodas under each other's brands, Pepsi's. Dr. Pepper, bitches.
  23. Another game that blows ass. Seriously, when was the last time EA had an original idea and actually did something good with it?
  24. And a special congratulations to Chris, who we all know won the "Least Likely to Get Laid" award.
