  1. Here’s Vertical Bird v1.0 Progress Made: 96.26% NO CHEATS and no mods were used. It’s a completely legitimate game. http://gtasnp.com/download/7613 Enjoy. By the way, the trick to Vertical Bird is to the 'hover' very low and let the other Hydras crash and destroy themselves; just hover beneath the two bridges near the aircraft carrier and Pier 69 immediately after the attacking Hydras appear, and they'll crash and destroy themselves in less than a minute. You can also destroy the other two Hydras on the aircraft carrier immediately after you hi-jack the first one, thereby eliminating two of the airborne Hydras that you must deal with later on; meaning you will only have one airborne Hydra to deal with after that, not three. 2. I thought swimming was a confirmed feature. (Read OXM September) or instead... http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12300[/url] Where did you here there won't be any swimming? Sorry, my bad. Supposedly he can't dive below, but he still swim above water. I originally read the article in Games Radar, but I had forgotten about that part. I did a search for that article, but can't seem to locate it now, otherwise I'd post a link for it. I'll go back to my original post and cross that part out.
  3. If you had read my post then you would have seen that Rockstar hasn't released any games for PC since June 7, 2005. They have dropped out of PC gaming and are only doing console games, that's a fact. I don’t hate any company. I said that I don’t respect Rockstar, there’s nothing about “hating” companies in my post. Why are you lying like this and stating that I said something that I didn’t? READ MY POST. So, you're attacking me again, why? Am I not allowed to have an a opinion? I clearly stated that most of the games I've played take place in city environments, and that San Andreas finally got away from that concept. I was hoping that GTA IV would continue that trend in some way. There can be countryside outside of any city area, just like there is outside of Las Santos. There are planes in GTA IV, they're called rotary-wing aircraft. I've seen them in the previews, helicopters flying about. I was referring to fixed-winged aircraft, there are none. Why would there be no where to fly to? That makes no sense! You could fly anywhere on the map, just like San Andreas. Please explain why there would be no where to fly to. Also, Back off!!! I don't like being attacked like this. I've done nothing to disrespect you or anyone else on this forum.
  4. Glad to Help. Freefall Mission Passed: NO CHEATS were used. Enjoy. http://gtasnp.com/download/7609 Sorry, I usually don't send e-mails, but I did send you a PM. GTASAsf4.zip
  5. Nice attitude. In my opinion, there’s no way GTA IV can be better than San Andreas, because: 1) It’s not available for PC, so I won’t be buying it. Rockstar has lost my respect, because not only did they lie when the Hot Coffee mini-game was discovered, but they also decided never to release any more PC games. There hasn’t been a new PC release from Rockstar since June 7, 2005. I have since switched loyalties to companies like Activision and Ubisoft, which still respect PC Gamers such as myself. I am highly anticipating the release of Assassin’s Creed in March, and Call of Duty 4 is a phenomenal game. As for GTA IV, who cares!! I surely don’t. I hope it goes down in flames for Rockstar, as they do not respect PC Gamers. For the Gamers themselves (everyone who's buying the game), I hope it's an enjoyable game for you; I surely won't know. As for fellow gamers, I respect anyone who plays on any platform, even when it comes to GTA IV. I respect all gamers, just not Rockstar. Everyone has their preference, I respect yours, and you respect mine. 2) There are no fixed-wing aircraft in GTA IV, only rotary-wing aircraft. Helicopters are boring, but all of the fixed-winged aircraft that were available in San Andreas really made it a great game! 3) There’s no swimming allowed in GTA IV. That means no easy earlier 4-Star excursions like there is in San Andreas. Trying to get into locked-off areas early is really going to be hard, if not impossible. Going into 4-Star areas in San Andreas is one of the funest aspects in the game, but making it too hard to attempt is just taking the fun out of the game; then again, maybe there won’t be any locked-off areas at the beginning of the game, in which case, what a shame, because I like 4-Star areas. Please read below for the update, as I was incorrect , he can swim, but may not be able to dive below water. 4) There are no country or rural areas in GTA IV. The country and rural settings in San Andreas really made the game unique, because all other games that I have played have always been city environments. San Andreas finally did away with that concept, and now GTA IV is going back to it, what a shame.
  6. Sorry, no can do. The only kind of file-sharing that is allowed is saved-game files. You need to get that file off of your DVD; or reinstall if you're using v3.0 Freefall Mission Passed! http://gtasnp.com/download/7583 NO CHEATS were used. Enjoy. GTASAsf5.zip
  7. Here are a couple of test saves for you to check out: There nothing special about the saves other than the fact that they are version specific. Here's Version 2.0 http://gtasnp.com/download/7518 Here's Version 3.0 (you'll notice that it's recognized as a v2.0 file, but it is v3.0) http://gtasnp.com/download/7103 They should both work on v3.0
  8. v2.0 and v3.0 are virtually identical. You should be able to use v2.0 saved-games without any problem.
  9. The James Earl Cash and Piggsy figures from Manhunt are also inside Zero's Shop; I’d like to have a set of those. On topic, there are official Vice City figures that can be bought from Rockstar.
  10. I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. If you're asking how the saved-game files can be downloaded, then just click on those links, they're still valid. Uploading instructions are available on the first post of this topic.
  11. Ahh… but the scenario I brought forth has been known to cause glitches, and all avenues should be explored since this problem does not appear to be a commonly known glitch. Also, Polygon never stated which platform he’s on, so we don’t know if we’re dealing with PC or not. Storing the saved-game files in the \My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files folder wouldn’t have any relevance on causing a glitch. There are no known instances of that causing a glitch. There is one more suggestion I have for Polygon (after you've checked your disc for any problems or errors): Denise can sometimes be very picky about the vehicle you have; if there’s too much damage then she sometimes won’t get into the car with you. Have you tried just walking back to her house instead, just to see if she’ll follow you? Maybe give us a little more detail on what she does and does not do. Also, what platform are you on?
  12. Activating the ‘pedestrians fight each other' cheat prior to the Burning Desire mission will make it so it’s virtually impossible to complete the mission. Denise will try to fight everyone when you drop her off at her home, and she’ll never walk inside the house, and the mission never ends. Is something similar happening to you on these dates? Did you activate that cheat by chance?
  13. When I said to go away and come back, I meant like going to the other end of the airport and back, it should appear eventually after doing that a few times; but if it's not, then you have some sort of strange glitch or something. I'll see if I can find out if others have had a similar problem, and try to get some info for you, but I've never heard of this before.
  14. I have done some searching for that, and others have told me that all platforms (PC, XBox, and PlayStation 2) will eventually crash on the Vigilante Mission; it has something to do with the fact that more information is going through the processor than the programmers had originally intended, or something to that effect. The higher the Mission goes, the more the screen starts to flutter, and if you go high enough than the only vehicles that will spawn anymore are the Suspect vehicles, no police or other traffic or pedestrians. It's just glitch. My PC operates fine all the time, except when I go too high in the Vigilante Missions. It happens to everyone. The only known way to deal with it is to take a break when the screen starts to flutter, and let the game just settle down a little; not by pausing the game, but by going to a separate location in the game where the police and suspects are not around, and letting the game just continue while you sit there, that's provided you have enough time to do that.
  15. I reached Level 82 on Vigilante using the exact same Las Venturas Police Car only, and no other vehicle. That’s when my game finally crashed. I know that Level 82 may not sound that high, but most records that are higher are based on abandoning a vehicle for a new one, or using the Hunter or Rhino; I didn’t do that, I used the same car for the entire run. Also, I didn’t have unlimited ammo, so I had to constantly find more. I wanted to say that the Police Car definitely ‘hardened’ as the levels progressed. It was either OrionSR or GTA_Phreak (my apologies for forgetting who said it) that stated that a Hunter would take less damage as the mission progressed; that was definitely the case with the Police Car I used. Bullets and crashes seemed to have no effect on the car. I also had a strange glitch occur: I was well into the mission (I forgot which level) and I was in Las Payasadas near the large chicken with the bobbing head. All of a sudden, a pedestrian said “They’ll give a Pilots License to anyone these days.” I wasn’t near the airport, and I didn’t notice if it was the same person that says that near the airport gate. I saved a snapshot for every level increase, so I can post those as well; that's over 80 snapshots. NO CHEATS and no mods were used.
  16. That's odd. Have you tried going away a few times and coming back to see if it's there. The AT-400 isn't always there for me either, but it does appear more often than not.
  17. The Euros will also appear infrequently during the Vigilante Missions as one of the suspect vehicles. It usually doesn’t take more than a couple dozen tries of starting and restarting the mission to get one to appear, sometimes sooner.
  18. Here it is. NO CHEATS and no mods and no trainers were used. This saved game is part of a new project I'm working on where I max out eveything at the beginning of the game; you' see what I'm talking about when you load it up. http://gtasnp.com/download/7415 Enjoy. GTASAsf1.zip
  19. From the very beginning of the game
  20. Yes, that Seasparrow is there from the very beginning of the game; I've used it to collect the higher Horseshoes when Las Ventures is still locked. Also, just to add to Urbanoutlaw's nicely written explanation, here's a video that I just made showing how to gain access to Las Ventures Airport and obtain the AT-400. There's a northbound jump that's just south of the airport that'll take you right in, this can be done from the very beginning of the game: NO CHEATS and no mods were used.
  21. I had a similar situation, and it can be duplicated over and over: While doing some 4-Star excursions while Las Ventures was still locked, I discovered an interesting phenomenon: cops will materialize in their cars on top on the Las Ventures Police station. They drive off of the roof and land on the street below. At first I thought it might have been a momentary glitch, but it has happened several times to me since then. I took some snapshots to demonstrate it, and I crudely drew in the path that the police cars take after they materialize. I didn’t draw it perfectly, but close enough. To get the snapshots, I triggered a 5-Star Wanted Level by flying over Area 69; then flew over to the Police Station. I used my BP/DP/EP/FP Maverick that I obtained during the Misappropriation mission to keep from being destroyed by Police and Hydras. I changed my tactic to get them to appear, I picked up a bribe to drop my Wanted Level to 4-Stars, then I approached the Police Station from the south in a northbound direction, and it worked, police cars drove off the roof every time I made the approach: The police car in the bottom-right image is mostly obscured by the “Homies” billboard. Ground shots:
  22. When I installed a new video card in my PC, I had the same problem you're having. I deleted the gta_sa.set file in the GTA San Andreas User Files folder, and everything worked fine after that. The gta_sa.set file doesn't get deleted when you uninstall the game, so it has to be done manually. I had to reconfigure my settings after that, but that wasn't a big deal.
  23. Not entirely correct. The AT-400 is available from the very beginning of the game, and you don't need a Pilots License to get it. You can cross over into Las Ventures while that area is still locked and get into the airport and fly it out of there, I'ver done it several times with 4-Stars. Hydras will not appear when you're inside of the AT-400, so you don't have to worry about being shot down, and you can fly back to Los Santos pretty easily. Of course, it does take a little bit of practice to get into locked areas, but after a while it becomes second nature.
  24. I have a dedicated download post (that’s incomplete), where you can download a lot of saved-games (without cheats). Click here to see it. If you don’t see what you need, then just post what mission you want and I’ll post a link to it here.
