Plausible theory. GTA always did like a good heist. The bag could also be a new feature, I recall reading R* was changing the way you handle weapons (where DID Claude, Tommy & CJ keep that RPG & flamethrower?!). This may be Niko's way to carry all his stuff.

...& still trying to catch up to a "pensioner".

I've seen GTA combo packs (GTA3, VC & SA) for around $30 (US), if you don't have the others, this might be your best bet.

Finishing the GTAIV Storyline
Urbanoutlaw replied to Harwood Butcher's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
My standard strategy for games like this is to roam around & find a cab to learn my way around & make $$$. If there are hidden packages or similar I go after them as well. My first time through I concentrate on beating the game then I go for 100% complete. -
Still waiting for my X-360 to come back from it's rebuild, Hope it's done on time for SR2. Played around a little w/ "BLACK" on PS2, another e-bay special (like $5 total). It's a first person so you get the crappy aim that goes w/ that but it's not bad.

The universe is a big scary place! Most objects burn up on re-entry (not sure about that Jupiter sized asteroid ). The problem happens when it's dense enough to survive re-entry. Even after hitting the atmosphere they are still traveling at incredible speeds & when they hit, it's like a nuke. I can't remember the source (probably Discover Channel) but the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was only something like 500 feet in diameter. National Geographic link on Yucatan Crater (112 miles wide x 3000 feet deep). http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...pactcrater.html

Work lots of overtime, eat Ramen noodles & save up to buy MONTANA DEFENSE from the exotics catalog. MONTANA DEFENSE gives you an extra weapon slot & drastically increases your ammo capacity. Before you buy it, put any weapons you want to keep in your trunk, it gives you some nice new ones. Speaking of weapons, when you go to a deal make sure you are NOT carrying the M-79 or either of the rocket launchers. If the deal goes bad you might draw one of these w/ bad results. I had one go bad in the underground garage where you steal the armored car & pulled a rocket launcher. Blew up the supplier, my hench-tard (after a while you see why I call them that), the supplier's body guards & car & my Bodog Stampede (last one cost $240,000 to fix). CONO! I still don't know how, but I survived that one w/ 10% health & took down the last body guard who also had about 10% health. Just for future reference, when Tony gets fubared, call up your driver/enforcer/assassin. When you return to Tony your health is reset to 100%.

GTAIV: Vice City/GTAIV: San Andreas
Urbanoutlaw replied to Harwood Butcher's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
This is just pure speculation, but I would expect to see updated Vice & SA maps w/ new cities added. Next gen console = more virtual room to build the game. Eventually I'd expect to see a version that ties all R* cities together. Something I'd like to see, The game is set in the present & you could download "prequel" content when you finish. Another good download would be original missions (in this case from GTA3) to play w/ the current engine & physics. I don't expect these, they'd just be nice. -
Short & simple, I'm here.

Density. SA had more open areas whereas GTAV's liberty is supposed to have more interiors. I think Vice was bigger than Liberty (GTA3), but you could get around in helicopters so it made it seem smaller. The 2 main Islands were longer.

Maybe it's just me, but new people who blow in & start acting like staff are a little annoying. Guys w/ a low post count who start correcting people or spouting rules they themselves aren't quite clear on. What, these people think that's gonna get them promoted to staff? Yeah, good luck w/ that... Like I said, maybe it's just me.

Devil's advocate. What's the difference between the original COP DFF/TXD & a car downloaded to replace an original? As long as you're not giving a "no CD" crack or the EXE there shouldn't be a legal issue. I realize giving the entire GTA3.IMG is discouraged because they're usually wanted for a downloaded copy of the game, but is there any harm in individual models? It might be a consideration to add a section to downloads for individual models (buildings, cars, peds). In the mean time, if you change out a model, extract the original & save it in a folder named ORIGINALS. What does Chris/staff say about this?

I hacked the MAIN.SCR & put useful vehicles & weapons where I can get to them. Flying cars cheat is fun, LlamaLlama suggested flying car rodeo a while back & it's good for a laugh. Get on the hood of a car, fire a weapon & make the driver panic & see how long you can hold on. Yes, take a parachute. Another good one is the FBI dogfight. Enter flying cars code, steal a Rhino from area 69 & start slugging it out w/ the FBI trucks. That's quality entertainment!

Welcome & enjoy. (I'll spare you "read the rules, don't spam, etc") Start by looking & learning, get to know your way around & make connections. You should find a crew you fit in with & talk to them.

Never seen a real one, but one of my favorite French cars in Gran Turismo 4. Just the ride for my trips to Paris (in game).

Thank you, nice to know we have a few friends in the world.

Okay, ground war it is... Sorry for link, too busy fighting to upload to photobucket. http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com/wp-cont...007/06/fart.jpg (This came up from a search for ex-lax, first try brought up a B-17 & a F4U Corsair. ???)

Sabin -You mean the same Americans that tend to be on site world wide for various earthquakes, tsunamis & other natural disasters within 24 hours? The same Americans racking up over $1 billion a day just in interest paying for that ability? I suggest you put a little more thought into your next post & maybe a little research instead of just blaming Americans. In general about war on terrorism - So in the mean time what? We let jackass terrorists fly planes into our buildings & kill civilians? War for oil? Well, YES! We're at $3 a gallon (triple in last few years), do we really want to see what $5 looks like? Those aforementioned disasters are payed for out of our pockets via taxes & those efforts use a LOT of fuel.

RESTRICTED AREA (boom boom boom)
Urbanoutlaw replied to lostatend's topic in General GTASA Discussion
^^^ Agreed. Can tell you this much, restricted area has much better defenses than Fort Baxter did in VC. If you want to "free roam" early on, take the mission "Re-Uniting the Families" & go exploring instead of to the Jefferson. You should be surprised. -
Disregard, tried again & pop-up went away this time.

Young man, don't make me unleash my minions... Back to topic - One thing to watch w/ Michelle, she likes to drive on some of the dates so take her car or grab a parked car on the way to get her. You'll see soon enough why you don't want her driving your car.

Love the trailer as I'm a total slut for GTA. Hate getting another trailer instead of the game!
-
Just watched the "low def" trailer on my ailing N-Vidia 5500 & it looked great. Already have the 360, but prefer PC versions. R*'s own fault for supporting the open file structure we all love to mod. I see more of the old cars are returning, recognized the Washington & SA Buccaneer.

They were a plot device, to show what a burnout truth was (too much LDS back in the '60s)***. Other than that they had no real purpose. ***Star Trek reference.

If you're getting started w/ SA, visit the police station in Los Santos & look in the shower. Just the thing for idiot cab drivers.
