Spaz The Great
What type of slot is it? AGP or PCI? I don't know of cards that aren't one of those, and those just pop right in. Actually, nothing in a PC is really difficult to "install". Just plugging things in, really. AGP installation PCI I assume, but it's virtually the same, regardless I only skimmed the second one, so I'm not sure if these are really all that great. Just the first few links on Google, really. If they don't help, oh well...

Spaz The Great
Your old card is on-board? Then yeah, just disable it. Windows will bitch at you for trying to use two different video drivers

Spaz The Great
Uh, yeah, I think most systems can support dual video cards. Or do you mean two PCI slots? That's pretty cool. And yeah, if you're running a 300watt, you should DEFINITELY get a new PSU. I'd grab a 500, personally. Nothing less.
Huckleberry Pie
AGP has a different bus slot compared to PCI Express; do you have a picture of your card?

Pandora
A foot long? 30 cm? The 8800 GTX isn't even that long I think, and that's one of the longest. Go for the 600 watt one, for if you ever want crossfire.

Spaz The Great
Yeah, I'll have to agree with Jace. Get that 600 watt on sale.
Righty
An expensive 500w power supply is going to be better than a cheap 600w power supply ... even though the 600 is obviously rated better.
Pandora
True. But with a 500 I don't think he'd be able to run Crossfire (assuming you'll want to do that in future).
