gtaplaya12345
Have you got car mods installed? Some car mods can really lagg the game if they are close by. I suggest uninstalling the most tuned/detailed ones as they take up alot of space in KB's

Rashon.
I've got the same problem... only without the mods part. Really because my computer can't handle the game. Try to lower the settings. For me, it works better but still not like someone would run it on a better computer.
Huckleberry Pie
What's your computer's specs? I tried running San Andreas on a Core2Duo with an internal video chip, but even with minimal settings I experience some lag.

GTA Don
That sucks, I'm deeply sorry. But yeah, you REALLY need an upgrade, I would recommend a minimum of 512 MB RAM or a new video card. The one you have now is seriously outdated. I think your PC just about meets the minimum system requirements but you can check for yourself here... JustADummy
I have the same processor and believe me, it makes SA lag, but you need a RAM and GFX upgrade seriously.

NSanityHD
My Computer specs are shit too. My Specs: System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP2 Computer: AMD Athlon 64 Processor +3200 2.01 GHz, 704 MB of RAM PAE. (Physical Address Extension). Total HDD space: 74.5 GB File System: NTFS. My computers specs are shit. But my GTA games run fast. It's only laggy when I kill too many people or destroy cars too near each other, causing a massive explosion. As Don, and Huckleberry said, you really need to upgrade your computer. Get a new RAM card too. BTW, if you have a DDR 1 card, do NOT try getting a DDR 2 card. It will mess up your computer.

As much as possible, try not to play SA with an internal video chip, as it would lag... I have a GeForce 7300LE, 256MB on my system, which is capable of high-def mods to some extent; however, it will lag real time if you use Boris V.'s ENBSeries mod and some other stuff, especially if you don't use the minimum settings. If your board is a Socket 775, you can directly upgrade to a dual-core CPU, which is a better stretch than a single-core one... The Gaming Person 1994
Ouch, man! Don't worry about getting 512 MB. Wait, do you have a laptop or PC? I'd reccomend a 256 MB card, if you have a PC. Kind of funny, you have a really good processor, but a not so good video card.

rockstarrem
Sorry dude, but your computer blows. SA and any other modern game will run horribly on that PC. I suggest getting a new computer, all of your specs suck.
The Gaming Person 1994
i have a pc Now that I've looked at your specs, if you don't want to get a new PC, at least remove the memory, then put in two sticks of 512 MB memory. Then, what kind of graphics slot do u have? PCI - E? AGP 8X?
WRX22B1998
yeh i agree with what the others said.. u shud get at least a geforce FX...which i got one a few years ago for like $100. to get one now...well here on ebay, that is only $40 or something for a fx5500 which shud be a MAJOR improvement. also u can upgrade ur ram (add another 512 stick maybe) which on ebay here is $19 including shipping. that would give u celeron 2.6ghz geforce fx 5500 768mb ram u will have a lot better chance with that Edited June 18, 2008 by WRX22B1998
