Whats with forums that give you some sort of important sounding ranking because you spam the forums with mindless chatter.

It's the default tag when you are new to the forums. As you post here, you rise to the ranks of the forums, to which your tag changes to a better one.

If you're discontented with it, you can add a custom title via the My Controls > Edit Profile Information panel.
