JustADummy
ARe you boring of those videos that don't have the option saying "View in HQ" on YouTube? Then at the end of every link write: "&fmt=18". It works, seriously. Try it! Edited October 19, 2008 by Spider-Vice

TM™
Kinda knew this a while ago... Not every video though will be in HD. The sound will probably get more clearer, but that's it. The video might be clearer by only 5% but then again, that's all it goes to.
GTA Don
Uhh.. it's not HD. HD would mean it would look way more clearer, sound more nicer and richer. It's high quality, I agree, it does look a little better, hell I watch a lot of videos in HQ on YT but I'm not too fussed about it.
Huckleberry Pie
And it depends on the video, too. If it's encoded badly by the uploader, then the HQ option won't work effectively. The IV trailers do work that way, though, since it was taken from an HD source video.
WRX22B1998
lol yeah. but usually i notice little diff between HQ and non HQ. except longer loading times...lol youtube is dodgy quality anyway, its really made for quick viewing of videos, not some hd experience lol. buy blu-ray for that. (OT) you know steve jobs is trying to reject blu ray "world of hurt" ... retard

(OT) you know steve jobs is trying to reject blu ray "world of hurt" ... retard I do notice a difference between HQ and conventional; tried it on the second GTA IV trailer that some guy posted and noticed that the ESRB ratings are crisper than the lo-fi version, and that the quilting effect is less noticeable. If the original uploader had the patience of waiting for an hour to upload a high-quality video on YT, chances are that when you turn on the high quality mode, then it might look better on screen.
