YellowJacket
I don't care what anyone says, Bill Clinton owned. He was cool, connected to regular people AND managed to bang a chick in his residential bed.
Urbanoutlaw
In our defense (myself & Rappo) we are debating the merits of presidents pertaining to who was the best. Nonetheless, thanks for the indulgence. ....I think George Bush made a good move by trying to get bin Laden, but he gave that up pretty quickly and subsequently duped America into a different, and costly, war...... That part sounded kind of back-handed, thanks for taking a moment to explain. (seriously, thanks, a lot of people wouldn't bother.) I also think we're on the same page on Iran. By itself, their own telecommunications satellite should be a great accomplishment that will benefit them. Same for a clean dependable power source. It's what happens when they put the two together that scares the hell outta people. Tying this back to topic: Carter wasn't so good as a president, the late'70s were one giant fail, but he did turn out to be a good statesman & even rescued Clinton on some of his foreign policy headaches. The smart thing for Obama to do is to sit down w/ Carter & get some insight on dealing w/ Iran. FDR gets points for leading us through most of WWII. Truman should get credit for making the hardest decision of Any US president, whether or not to use an atomic weapon to end WWII. JFK was a war hero & this would be a completely different country if he hadn't been assassinated. I'm also a big fan of John Adams & John Quincy Adams, but they were family (literally). _Ray
At least you acknowledge it that time. Unfortunately, that wasn't sarcasm. Apparently you've never watched Back to the Future. Obviously I've seen the BTTF Trilogy at least a dozen times, otherwise I wouldn't have an account on www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk Though Doc was not being sarcastic in the movie, as he in 1955 found it hard for a president to be an actor, and also asked if Jane Wyman was first lady, you were being sarcastic to me. And, it is my respectful opinion that Bill Clinton was not a good president, and much less a good person, but he does look like a Conservative next to our Socialist President. Spaz The Great
I wasn't being sarcastic, at all, I was only continuing the joke that was going. Conservative does not = "good". And he was a very likable guy. You can't deny he was cool.

Never start a sentence with the word 'And'! Also, (see what I did there) it is my respectful opinion that you don't know what the fuck you're on about. You were born half way through his two terms and still wetting your bed when he was on his way out. The more you throw around the words conservative and socialist the more I feel you have no clue what you're talking about and are just parroting someone else. Back on topic. I would have to do some research before I could opine which Leader I felt served you best.

For sure, I think Carter has his head in the right place when it comes to the Middle East, and Obama should definitely look to him for some advice. I'm mad at myself that I haven't yet read Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, but I'll get to it one of these days!
Pandora
Carter failed in the middle east. Under him Iran plummeted into what it's now. The Sha was basically the puppet of the US. The Sha fell. Which means the US failed. He would have done anything that the US president would ask for. He asked for advise when things were starting to go wrong. But instead of getting a sound answer, Carter comes with some riddle consisting out of two points. Oh, which contradict each other. Though he did a good job getting those hostages free. So, who was? I've got no idea, I'm sorry. I've always thought Roosevelt (second one. Forget is firstname) to have been very good though, but I know to little about him to state that as a fact or anything as such. MeZaMe YuMe_MoMoKu
For some unknown reasons, I vote for Ulysess Grant. Second-Teddy Roosevelt(I'm not that sure) because he helped Philippines in being independent from Japan.
Noxfaratos
Franklin D. Roosevelt because he did more in his first week to handle the depression then Hoover ever did. Also got us through WWII. JFK is another. He did so much for Civil equality, shame he died. I have to say Ronald Reagan. His administration had a lot to do with ending the Cold War and he was just a really cool guy, even though his entire term was run on optimism.
