In a manifesto sent today to press outlets, Thompson focuses on dismantling the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and exposing what he calls the industry's "latest dirty little secret." The secret's out now, and it involves nude sims.

In the statement, Thompson says, "Sims 2, the latest version of the Sims video game franchise ... contains, according to video game news sites, full frontal nudity, including nipples, penises, labia, and pubic hair."

The Sims 2 is a "life simulator." In the game, players steer their digital beings around their cyberlives. Actions include everything from the spectacular (getting married, having children, receiving promotions at work) to the mundane (cooking microwaved meals, going to the bathroom, mopping the floor). Such activities, as in real life, sometimes require nudity. EA circumvents inappropriateness by "blurring" out the nether regions, almost to a comical sense.

Knowing that the game is popular among all ages, EA has even taken steps to ensure that Sims fans aren't exposed to indecent depictions. In the recent expansion pack, The Sims 2 University, gamers can send their teenage sims off to college. However, instead of packing the expansion with "keggers" and "reefer," EA chose to use juice and bubble blowers.

Thompson doesn't seem to care. He cites a cheat code that can remove the blur that covers the nether regions. "The nudity placed there by the publisher/maker, Electronic Arts, is accessed by the use of a simple code that removes what is called 'the blur' which obscures the genital areas. In other words, the game was released to the public by the manufacturer knowing that the full frontal nudity was resident on the game and would be accessed by use of a simple code widely provided on the Internet."

It's not just the adults that are liberated from their wardrobes. Sims kids can also be nudified, "much to the delight, one can be sure, of pedophiles around the globe who can rehearse, in virtual reality, for their abuse."

Jack Thompson is a sick bastard, he laughing at the horrible experiences of the kids who have been sexually exploited and the kids themselves, someone deal with this prick before he seriously hurts someone.

Ya, I'm sick of Jack Thompson now. Why doesn't he target like Full Crime Streets of New York or something considering your a CORRUPT cop or other games. He's pretty lame, I don't even think his threats or whatever you call them are even credible anymore. I think he should actually try the games and beat them to really find out what the game is about instead of look at the preview screenshots that show some of the coolest things you can do in the game that really is showing what a game can really be but does look "bad" to him. Like Righty said though we just have to deal with him cause he won't just go away... Anyway, my conclusion is Fu** Jack Thompson; I think all of you guys agree with that.

If we don’t need this “crap” in our countries, then we don’t need violent films, or music, or literature as well, oy. I, as well as many/all of these commentators on this blog are what foolish, ignorant, money-grubbing greed hog conservatives (a.k.a. facists, Nazis and Right-Wingers) play violent video games oy. I beg to differ oy.Out of all the millions of people in America who play Doom, GTA, or Counter Strike, how many do you think went on to go killing people, huh? In fact, in 2005, a police report states that violent crimes among youths have in fact declined quite a bit. Compare that to the ’50s when there were “family values”, oy. I bet “family values” also means to you there would have been no civil rights movement, oy. You know what, go read the graphic novel V for Vendetta, or its movie counterpart, as well as South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut and you might just learn something, oy.

If Jack truly were trying to bring ‘family values’ back to America, he would start complaining about something other than Rockstar and Howard Stern. Almost every game he ever complains about is made by Rockstar. Only exceptions I can think of are Halo, Doom, and Killer7.

Maybe Jack needs to have a chat with Brent Bozell? I’m sure he’d love to censor.

From a disciplinary standpoint, I’m thinking that his email to Take-Two’s CEO was the most egregious. A lawyer contacting an adverse non-lawyer who he knows to be represented by counsel is a huge and blatant violation of disciplinary rules, and of all his antics, this should be an action he can’t talk his way out of, particularly the threatening tone. Of course his actions in Alabama disrespecting the court are good fodder too.

Disbarred, he will probably be more of a nuisance than ever before. Filing complaints pro se in any jurisdiction he pleases, without the requirements of bar membership. Not to mention the talk radio circuit and unending book deals. His base already hates lawyers and his disbarment will affirm their convictions, and make him more of the hero/martyr.

Of course, he should by all means be disbarred. He has put his own interests and agendas above his clients’ and broken at least eight (by my count) rules of professional conduct in the actions listed in the article. I just don’t think it will change anything.

What? Are you really that gullible to think that is what JT is after? Have you even seen half the stuff he has said and done? When you actually do, come back to me and say that again.

You say we’re sickos for playing these violent games when I’d have to say you are a sicko of sorts for thinking that it’s perfectly OK for one party or even yourself to judge what’s good for everyone else. Is Jack Thompson or the government my mother? That answer is simply no.

As for saying they are murder simulators for terrorists that just goes along the age-old technophobic mentality of blaming mostly a device for something and not the idiots that misuse it for their own evil purposes. Even if we did get rid of games and thus get rid of these supposed murder simulators, do you think that would stop the terrorists actions and they wouldn’t find something else to train on? What good would it do to get rid of them?

What right do you have to call us sickos just because we like to play violent video games? If you call us sickos then you must also call every boxing, wrestling, hockey and football fan in the universe sickos since being a fan of real violence must certaintly be more psychotic than being a fan of fake violence right?

Riiiiiight just like Risk could be used as a simulator for taking over the world by a madman.

The fact is GTA makes a very bad murder simulator, as you put it, for one thing you can be shot over 10 times in the chest and will not only survive but you won’t even be slowed down by the injury, the same can also be said for being lit on fire and getting in a 90+ mph head on car or motorcycle crash. There is also the fact that cars blow up by shooting the gas tank (which if you ever watch mythbusters you should know doesn’t happen) and that planes seem to light on fire and blow up when their wing hits a tree. I also fail to see how any video game can be a murder simulator since holding a controller is a lot different than firing a gun.

You say thomspon preaches family values, so what not everyone has a family and not everyone is entertained by kiddie movies. GTA is not for kids and is not aimed at kids for one thing it mimics (and mocks) gang culture which most kids do not understand. It was people promoting family values who tried to ban tom sawyer, and rock and roll.

Just because you don’t like something or think you’re 5 year old should not see it is no justification to try to ban from the millions of people in this country that like it no matter how you look at it."

For their part, Take Two Interactive agreed to drop its contempt of court lawsuit against Thompson regarding alleged improper conduct during the Bully court hearings in Florida, which, if found to be in contempt, would have resulted in Thompson seeing jail time.
