Rockstar have today officially announced that Grand Theft Auto V is in full development. The company released a statement on the newswire which confirms that the game will be set in Los Santos only, not all of San Andreas; it will however include "surrounding hills, countryside and beaches". The statement also confirms that money will be a major theme of the game, and that GTA V will be the largest and most ambitious GTA to date, re-imagining present day Southern California.

Haha yes we never had much in the way of a "gallery", each image on an individual page, always a pain in the ass to navigate. What we have on the GTAV screen caps page is pretty much how all our screenshots will be from now on. Popping up in a box and you can browse through by click next/previous buttons or using the left/right arrows on your keyboard. I'll see if this can be improved upon a bit more but I think it's already a huge improvement over what we had before, and saves tons of resources not having to load a whole new page for each image!

I made this topic for everyone to post there GTA V Fanart! Covers, wallpapers, you name it you can post it. You can also find some PSD's and PNG's I have gathered to assist you in making your covers and logo's! You can find them at the very bottom of this thread. I'll get the ball rolling by posting my cover I did earlier. Resources: These can be used for you to create your own cover. All of these are .PNG format so they keep their transparency and can be used in Photoshop. I have linked to them and not posted them as images as they're massive. I did use a PSD for the basic layout of the cover which I'll try hunt down and post shortly. For those who haven't heard, it's officially just Los Santos now; with the mountains/countryside/desert surrounding it. DLC possibility is still there.

Yes I'm pretty sure we have roughly a year (at least) to wait for the release. To expand on my idea of multiple playable characters, here's a couple screenshots of the guy who appears 2 or 3 times during the trailer. ^ For this one I noticed that at the last possible second before the trailer changes to another scene, the guy in the red car sticks his head back a bit behind the windshield so he can check out the girl's ass haha. Which was also the way I was able to screenshot his face. ^Here he is again shown later in the trailer when he is evading the cops and crashes into a blue car in the process. ^And to tie this character to the storyline, I slowly went through the robbery scene and noticed that it is possible that he is the driver of the van. Physical features look vaguely similar (although it is hard to tell because of the lack of light); bald head, dark complexion and it looks like he is wearing wifebeater. Anyways I think that it is very possible that this guy may be a playable character in the game in addition to the presently assumed middle aged main character. The trailer features him driving a few times in a similar focus to the way the 'main character' is shown driving. This could mean that there are multiple protagonists or MAYBE a first time co-op mode/storyline in the series. What do you guys think?

For me it seems like R* have really heeded the word of the fans here. The world is more alive with their trademark humour that ever, the world has more character than ever. It seems like it has all the technical prowess of IV, but casts off the shackles of it's claustrophobic environment to really let the writing (that WAS exceptional in IV) shine through. tl;dr: no

I think it'd be fun to see those cities appear in DLC. At least that's more than a storyline (TLAD/BOGT) and would be awesome enough for everyone to buy. AND it means the first release has more time to be perfected, instead of trying to rush 2 more cities, or just delaying it more and more.
