  1. No warez - Discussion about illegally obtaining copyrighted material is strictly forbidden No offense, but for the millionth time, please DO NOT ask people about warez!!! Read the forum rules first before you dive into such ideas of asking us how or where to get warez... We won't tell you how to do it, since we might get sued by R* for that... Mods, please lock this thread...
  2. Hey, what's up, homie? How's the Zelda theme stuff??

  3. Not in my home turf, since soccer isn't really that big in the Philippines...
  4. Thanks for telling me that... I had the same problem, too...
  5. OK, so I'm done with the modeling, but I just couldn't figure out how to map the textures to the weapons, since they're lined up in a single file... I'll give money to those who can help me in mapping textures... The file to be edited: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/9/14/1431382/headonmod.zip *OK, thread closed, you may now get rid of this thread.* God Bless and have a nice day...
  6. After watching that infamous HeadOn commerical at YouTube, I decided to make a mod out of it, which replaces the baseball bat. I'm not really good at 3D modeling but I managed to make a DFF of a HeadOn wax stick... Now the only problem I'm facing is texturing - how do I do it? *OK, thread closed. Mods, please delete this...*
  7. Sorry if I bumped, but I think this is pointless: Maybe if they make it like this... ...it will be better...
  8. I edited my *article* about OG Loc in my wiki... Check this out: http://lpgunitmusic.110mb.com/wiki/index.php/OG_Loc Hope you guys like it!
  9. Macs are expensive and too proprietary for my tastes; you'll spend more than what you actually need for a Mac, while you and your parents can spend half on a PC...
  10. Read this first: http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5959 That might answer your modding questions...
  11. I dunno; they're essentially the same format - the only difference is the txd textures used for the DFFs.
  12. Glad to have you here, 'tol... I'm Huck... I'm also from the Philippines; follow the rules, and have fun... God Bless you too, 'tol... Sana naman, ayos ka lang diyan...
  13. Nice... Welcome to the forums, 'tol... Don't worry, although it's a bit hard to recreate Manila in full 3D, we're into starting this mod one step at a time... You can make billboards in Photoshop, and convert the JPEGs and stuff into GTA-compatible textures... I was planning to make the mod as light on system resources as possible; most of the car mods that you can use for SA are high on polygons, which can bog down your PC, unless if you feed it with more high-end hardware. You can do the intro video if you want to, since you're good at video editing... I'll do some research and minor texture work... Regarding the tools used in modding, they're all for free, you can get them at the Downloads section...
  14. Car colors... Usually, a car mod comes with a readme file; they might contain lines for the default.ide and carcols.dat. Copy them and paste it to the config files... The white car problem may be caused by a missing, incorrect or corrupt txd - find the txd file in the mod package and add it to your gta3.img file...
  15. Is there anyone who saw or encountered a car or truck that still has the same design, despite it being launched years ago? I've encountered some rides that have only gone through just one generation, such as the Mitsubishi L300, which still retains its 1986-era looks, with only minor changes to the interior and a few new features. I think the reason why the Mitsubishi boys decided not to change the L300 is because of it being a no-frills, utilitarian vehicle, and maybe because of cost-cutting (so as to avoid spending a million or so just to make an updated version) and reliability... Any thoughts about this??
  16. Go to the Philippines, and you'll see Chinese carbon copies of Honda underbones like the Wave... R* did copy designs off real life vehicles when Grand Theft Auto was made, but they have a good point, since 1) It is under Fair Use; they only made parodies of real cars 2) It would be costly if they pay royalties for licensed cars and 3) As long as they do not hinder the automakers' ability to sell vehicles, it's OK to make a car in GTA such as the Jester or the Wayfarer, which are parodies of the Supra and the Honda Goldwing. But these whores who made Toyota Hilux clones are doing too much, as stealing the work of someone else isn't funny, and is insulting...
  17. Can you give me a screenshot of the Task Manager, showing all running processes, and a Hijackthis log?
  18. Sorry for saying this, but, you're the one who can't understand what we're trying to say; I'm not trying to be rude here, but for the millionth time, the cars' txd and dff files won't work by themselves, you really need to edit the HANDLING.CFG file... It is just some ASCII file that you can open in Notepad... You won't get the drift handling without modifying it! Here's the drift setting for the car that you want to drift: BANSHEE 1425.0 1.84 4.56 1.25 0.00 0.00 0.10 75 0.90 0.80 0.50 5 257.00 31.00 4 P 10.00 0.50 0 30.00 1.75 0.20 0.28 0.52 35000 0.27 -0.16 0.50 0.35 8182 0 1 Read the readme files first before you complain about your car not being able to drift... If you still don't get us, I'm sorry, try asking chris82 instead... He's a real veteran when it comes to modding things...
  19. Was your PC running smoothly before you install MioNet?
  20. You don't get what we're saying? OK, Download a car that you want to drift. Now you will see some files such as the txd textures, 3d model and the like. Install it as usual, and find the name of the car in HANDLING.CFG, which can be edited in Notepad. Mods for sports cars (especially Japanese ones) are likely to have drift handling... I recommend that you use an editor such as CFG Studio. Don't worry, it won't mess up your game, as long as you follow the instructions... Have fun editing the handling.cfg file; you can sometimes produce interesting results with it - some experienced modders have reached 300+ MPH using a modified handling file...
  21. The one on the left's ripped from a 2002-2005 Toyota Hilux: The one on the right's ripped from a Nissan Frontier: The truck in the middle is a Isuzu Dmax knockoff, judging from the fender, grill and headlight design:
  22. A Barbie game? That girl could have been killed so easily in GTA IV...
