[TUT] Making your own .IMG file and make it usuable

I'm pretty sure this works on the other games besides San Andreas. But yeah, this is nice. -

[WIP|SA] The Hollywood Tower Hotel

Sorry for the double-post, but here's an in-progress shot of the interior: Still needs moar detail, though, as this early beta's too block-happy. -
Microsoft is fined 290 million dollars.

Bold: agreed Me too, although as of now ROS is still WIP/alpha, and it'll take eons at that rate for them to make it as usable as its proipretary counterpart. And expect Ramchyld to rejoice at this news, Steam... Yeah, they got used to it, much like when those office workers at a plastics factory that I freelanced at one time were rather alienated at OO compared to the ubitiquous MS Office. -

And if ReactOS goes gold, then say goodbye to Ballmer and his stupid Windows. -
The question is, did we throw a grenade at you? We didn't rob your house right? If so then we did nothing wrong. I tend to steer away from debates, and I don't intend to turn this into a heated argument, but, please, Connor, let's try to be civil - in all honesty, I find what you did as crude and immature. It would've been much better if we talk about the brighter side instead.
-
Agreed. There's nothing wrong on my part, it's just that you try to diss people who do trust in Jesus, like me, while the latter group does nothing wrong at you.

LMAO! Well, I guess it isn't that surprising. "Vegeta? What does Bobby Van say about Gloria Arroyo's restaurant bill?" "IT'S OVER 9000!!!"
-
Yeah, me neither. "This is blasphemy, this is madness!" And I did quote the Persian messenger in a serious and practical context.

Just as GTA gave gamers the freedom to do anything, being in a political office also gives the same freedom - at a bigger cost. If only that some better leader takes over and erases Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from history like Stalin...
-
Political fail indeed. Yeah, I guess that made me think that they're nothing but bumbaclots and attention whores. Look at all the infomercials they made on TV, trying to impress the mainstream like giving the impression that they came from some poor family or something.
-
No wonder why I still have that cynical sense in myself when it comes to politics. Although I do trust some politicians.
-
I find it wrong even if a congressman was cited to have paid the restaurant bills. What if they leeched the hell out of public funds for that party?

Some car mods are polygon-rich - in other words, they have several times more triangles and stuff than the default SA models. This is the reason why older and/or weaker video cards suffer from framerate issues when you have modded vehicles. I once installed a Hyndai Starex mod on a PC at some kiosk, and it did lag like crap. I guess the video card was some Nvidia GeForce FX-series card, or even worse. Newer video cards, and even the relatively low-end yet recently released ones like the 8400GS and equivalent ATI cards, can and will score better on Fraps with a car mod installed.

Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently became the center of a scandal, where, despite the fact that most of his "royal subjects" are struggling for food, managed to spend 20 grand on a dinner at two restaurants in DC and New York City, respectively. From Washington Post (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/reliable-source/2009/08/rs-dinner12.html): Despite their excuses that Gloria didn't pay the bills, is it right to have such a swank dinner, or is she doing it overkill? My family and I are one of the many people who loathe his administration, and I cite her as a Mafosi-like figure, especially her husband.

[WIP|SA] The Hollywood Tower Hotel
Huckleberry Pie replied to Huckleberry Pie's topic in GTASA Modding
Yeah, they did, although it looks and feels silly enough to make fun of. I made lolcats and YTMNDs out of the film. As for the building, it seems big and roomy enough in my case, although I might adjust it as long as there's enough real estate in Los Santos. -
The Epic Photoshop help thread.
Huckleberry Pie replied to MrLlamaLlama's topic in Graphics & Writer's Pad
Hey, can anyone help me in shooping this (excuse for the large file size, I need to make the pic as high-def as possible)? My brother wants to have me add flowers to the brown soily patches at the sides of the chapel. I can do it if I have the patience, but I'm worrying that I might muck things up, as my brother insists on a high-quality corporate shoop. -
[WIP|SA] The Hollywood Tower Hotel

Actually I plan on making it as a hotel (much like the Jefferson motel, but not in a ghetto style of course) than as a hyped-up three-minute ride on a theme park. It'll be a whole new story based on the ride's backstory and the movie spinoff if I decide to do a conversion, although I don't mind coding it for now. -
, this was said because some of the Asus Board are actuly pretty unreliable, dont read inbetween the lines, that was directed at no one it was a statememnt and fact, i only use ASUS, they are very good, and the 8800GT i had was an ASUS, so you have a good card there, but some Asus board are not good, but im an ASUS fanboy, it's all i use and all i ever will. I find ASUS better than everyone else in Taiwan that makes PC parts. Pretty reliable and stuff, although they do suck on occasion.

As for mods, I think R* implemented anti-cheat/hax systems on their games. If your custom vehicle works online, it will only show up on your game client, but not on everyone else's. And yes, there are people using hax in MP, although it would be best used if you're on free/party mode and not on a competitive environment.

Yes. You could possibly try iAtkos. I believe it's in the gray-zone. Not exactly sure if it's illegal. I think it's legal if you'd purchase a license to OSX, to use the iAtkos image. I've used it and really, really hated it. And that's not because this was a hacked version, I hate OSX on a Mac too, while I was actually having high expectations. I expected the user-friendliness of an iPod Touch, but got something that was just annoying the shit out of me for hours. Doing any serious work on a Mac has been a burden to me. In fact, even leisure on a Mac sucks for me. It limits me in a trillion ways, doesn't allow me to even use more then 80 percent of the screen and it's a pain in the ass to get things as surround speakers to even work with it. I used Tiger though, but unless they suddenly had started from scratch and dumped their old system without upping the version number, I expect to be just more of the same... But please do try iAtkos once. Just so you'll realize how overrated OSX is (and how underrated Windows is). I currently have an iDeneb distro in my own PC. Doesn't work on some boards unless if you hack the BIOS, but runs fine on my case, since I use an ASUS board. If you plan to make an el-cheapo OSX machine and don't mind about Apple possibly suing you, go for an ASUS mobo - the P5K is well-known for being a Hackintosh-ready board, with only minimal issues if any. Yeah, hacking OSX is pretty much BS due to the fact that one man's procedure may not be applicable to another, because of hardware issues. It is gray matter though, as Apple wanted to make sure that OSX is only used on their own boxes, not some $300 Taiwanese frankenstein rig. Although I could rant about Steve Job's policy of tying stuff to just one device.

For legal reasons, we won't be uploading setup.exe here. I did manage to run GTA IV setup in a few builds of Windows 7, namely 7000 and 7100. Simply running it on Vista compatibility does wonders, although it is likely that your install mucked up or something.
-
If you bought it from a flea market you might have come across an illegally ripped version.

Nice one UO, my dad likes it. Oh, and by the way, do you know how much a 1978-80 model Electra Glide (a Shovel, of course) costs there?
