  1. This is why Duke Nukem should be here, I guess.
  2. How's this for my mate's forum banner? I used blending options, vignette, noise, as well as some other stuff when I shooped this one... Any suggestions? Oh, and for all them gangstas out there:
  3. Icon spacing, perhaps? Windows sometimes screw up on desktop configuration, so it may be a pretty random error or something.
  4. Hope that you have a great time there, my friend...
  5. Agreed on that. Them mainstream media seems to cash in on the flu outbreak, to the point of scaring people into submission.
  6. It may also be caused by a cracked or ripped version; I had one which was playable, but hangs on the Unhandled Exception message box. So the best solution would be buying the game if you have a warezed version.
  7. Maybe, but not necessarily so. Having a better CPU and a decent video card such as an Nvidia 8800 or an ATI 4870 may give it a significant boost.
  8. Did you install any mods? As far as I know the car that you'll be driving in that mission is immune to bullets and stuff, so it'll be somewhat unlikely to blow up. I played that mission before, and despite over a dozen retries, that explosion didn't seem to happen on my game.
  9. If they had the lulz to do so, they might make a patch and/or slipstream that into future GTA IV SKUs, but they're probably too busy or too lazy to do so.
  10. My rig's a definite proof that GTA IV blows on low-end hardware; I know NFS Undercover sucked, but even a demanding game like that can attain at least some playable framerates while on high settings.
  11. A bit too unbalanced; the video card's way too weak to run that game properly. Anyone running IV on a PC with an 8500 or below may experience low performance, although this also depends on some other factors such as CPU, RAM, etc.
  12. Here are some screenies of my GTASA, with Mona Sax behind the wheel: I used a slightly modified config courtesy of Lil'Q, plus Project Reality. The Monte Carlo can be downloaded at GTAInside, just in case you want that vehicle, too. I don't mind if I just use 640x480 or turn off AA, although I do care about visual settings.
  13. Yep, there seem to be some quirky stuff, but that doesn't keep me from believing. I don't want any internet arguments regarding that, it's just that some people take stuff too far - that's why there are cases of mass murder and suicide bombings.
  14. I have the original video as well as the subtitles and stuff to make it work, just in case if you want to make your own...
  15. Norton blows big time; tried installing it on a Pentium III and it hogged the poor computer to its knees. I won't be sticking to them even if they claim that they improved on their footprint. As for my antivirus I mostly use Avast; it isn't the best, but I never had any major problems with it, even on Windows 7 beta...
  16. Unless if your ISP uses dynamic addresses, or if you live under a proxy, the thing is that it isn't easy to change your IP. It's the ISP that assigns them to you, and the only one directly assigned to your hardware is your PC's MAC address, which is a permanent serial number of your hardware on a network.
  17. I dunno, but I find this one funny... God Bless and enjoy, guys...
  18. Yeah, agreed. As what I've said earlier, I got kicked out of a Strawberry Shortcake forum, apparently because they find me annoying; I did make an apology, only to be rejected by the administrator, so I decided to leave them for good. Besides, I find the place a little messed up.
  19. OK, so I thought of this after downloading a copy of Subtitle Workshop. I used an Italian dub of Shirley Temple's Poor Little Rich Girl, and I decided to make fun of it by inserting anachronistic subtitles on it for the lulz. I'm still working on my version, but the objective is to edit it with Movie Maker or Subtitle Workshop, insert any funny mistranslations on it, and then upload it to Youtube, ImageLodge or your fave video site. Comprende? God Bless and have fun!
  20. I know a bit of French, partly because I was influenced by the children's book series Madeline. Still have to learn some more, though.
  21. And they wouldn't let them down, nor let you run around with the machine, and desert them.
