I was playing Runescape, an MMO game, and I was thinking about GTA. Then, an idea hit me: why not have an MMO GTA game? Imagine it: A whole, sprawling city, inhabited by thousands of players. It would be very gang-oriented game: Players could form gangs, then their gangs could buy buildings, and rival gangs would try to steal buildings from them. Talking to NPCs could start you on a mission: Rescue Darkel from the Haitians. Assasinate the Cuban drug dealer, you get the idea. There would have to be some kind of limit to Player Killing, to prevent people getting lots of guns, and going around slaughtering newbies, but I'm not sure how to prevent a player running another player over without some kind of 'energy shield' to prevent it. Anyway, post your comments about this idea.

I've just realised this needs to be ######. I believe in a firm 'back to basics' sort of thing. Most of what VC added to GTA3 made things much too complicated. - Hidden Packages easier to find. - Islands arranged like this: A triangle of GTA3 sized islands, with a Starfish-style island in the middle, and possibly one or two Prawn-sized islands around the edges. - Less weapons. It over complicates things. Having said that, though, I'd like to see: - A tram. - Able to ride on buses. - Able to take peds hostage (use them as a human shield to stop the cops shooting you). - Much more gang-oriented play. Er... more coming later.

That's pretty pointless really. I want to be able to type them with shift+a button, like normal. My dad has fixed the keyboard settings for his desktop, but he cant remember how he did it...

I've seen this on other forums, but I'm not entirely sure what it does. But we must be wary of all the n00bs who will come over from GTAD and GTAF accusing us of ripping their hacks (no offence towards those two forums, but they do have their fair share of idiots, just like any other forum). But anyway, what does this karma hack do?

No gangs yet... If you get invited into a gang, will your member group change? And can supermods join gangs?

Yes, that is exactly the problem. Only there's more to it than that. I cant find the Pounds symbol, or the 'squiggly hyphen' sort of symbol, or the hash symbol, or... lots of other ones. I dont want to learn to live with it, it's very annoying, especially when the keys are the right way round on every other computer I use, meaning that whenever I get adjusted to this keyboard I suffer a reverse of the problem on other computers. Help.

Well, it's a lot cheaper and Easier for Rockstar to make their own cars. If they had real cars... think of the licensing costs!

Okay, I've got a new computer, and with this new computer the keyboard settings are different. What I mean is, the symbols on the keyboard dont match up to what they make when I press the button. For instance, I press the button labelled ' " ' and get '@'. And some of the symbols I cant find on any button, like the Pounds sign, or the hash key. How do I change this? The keyboard is a Logitech, and I have Windows XP.

Just out of curiosity... what does the little number next to the skin name mean?

All these 'genres' are so general... all a genre is it what a band says it is. Like Avril Lavigne... she's supposed to be a form of punk! And Linkin Park and KoRn are both supposed to be Nu Metal, but their music is so different! All genres are are labels bands give to themselves.

Hey, why dont we use this topic to revive the old forum's classic 'funny stuff that happened in school' topic? Remember, where Lance claimed to have burnt down half his school? *cough* liar *cough*. Some kids were kicking a ball about on the playground the other day, and one of them chipped it really hard... and the ball sailed through the air... and the staff room window got in the way... and glass shattered and the ball continued to sail through the air... then the History teacher got in the way... and the boy who kicked the ball did not get off lightly. I got told off in Science for asking too many questions... And a friend got sent out of RS for having to sharpen his pencil too often (We had to draw a piccy of the Garden of Eden... that uses up a lot of green, and my RS teacher isnt very patient.)

Major hacking, like the people who stole Half Life 2's source code, is frankly unnacceptable. It just pisses me off so much... the thing is, the law always takes a while to catch up with new 'law-breaking' technology. And hacking is relatively new, and the government hasnt really woken up to how serious the problem is yet.

I use a program called Hypersnap DX, but to upload screenshots I take with it, I always have to convert the picture to a JPEG, which fucks up the quality... 999 posts and 99 topics is quite a coincedence... what a shame the screenshot of it didnt come out...

The Time Machine has some really interesting ideas, like the fourth dimension and stuff. The actual story, though, gets a bit boring as you go on... it's good, but not great.

Yeah, it's basically unheard of in the US. But surely you guys have heard of Rowan Atkinson? From Mr. Bean? The Thin Blue Line? Johnny English? He plays Blackadder, you see...

I saw this movie last week, I loved it, although it's a bit predictable. What do all you guys think of it?
