  5. Was my last post deleted or something? Would be nice to be given a heads-up next time Anyway, for those that don't really have a problem with homosexuality but don't understand why they care about getting married so badly (I was in the same position, I always found marriage a particularly religious event and didn't see what the big fuss was for gays to have true marriage rather than civil unions), there are a lot of benefits in marriage that we may not normally realize. Here is some more information on that: http://www.religioustolerance.org/mar_bene.htm and there is a lot more around the web if you just search for marriage benefits. After reading over some of those sites, it's pretty clear that it's wrong to deny certain people of these rights, especially in a country like the United States where freedom is a central theme of life.
  6. I think you're the one who needs to learn what genetic means. Genetic = passing down from parent to child through genes. Genes are located in sperm (for males) and the egg (for females). You cannot have a passing of genes from a parent to an adopted child, that is the essence of adoption - the child is not biologically yours and therefore contains none of your genes. After reading your post I'm fairly certain I'm done arguing my point with you...
  7. I'm aware of what genetic means, and I don't appreciate your sarcasm. I stand by what I said.
  8. Excuse me? Do you have a doubt that homosexuality is genetic? Please ask any of the various gay people on this board whether or not they made it their choice. You are born with your sexual preference, and going against that is unnatural and nearly impossible. Just as you are averted to having sex with a man, a gay man is averted to having sex with a woman.
  9. Yeah, that is what I'm saying.
  10. Can these TGTAP 2008 awards have the most idiotic post of the year? If so, I nominate the one just above mine...
  11. The people with arguments against gay marriage have it all wrong. The less tolerant society becomes, the more homosexuals there will be. Especially outside of the United States and Europe, homosexuality is shamed, and this shame makes gay men try and lead heterosexual lives. They force themselves to have a wife and kids. And guess what? Having a child spreads homosexuality! If we are more tolerant of it and allow gay people to marry one another, I don't doubt that homosexuality would disappear given the right amount of time. The only problem is ignorance among people that makes them think homosexuality is a choice. That narrow-minded view kills whatever I said up there.
  12. finaaallllyyy somebody says yo!

  13. And like I said, because of misinformation. Take a look at how many propositions there were on this year's ballot regarding homosexuality: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/ballot.measures . I'd say that's more than "barely." The main thing fueling people's opinions on this matter is, sadly, religion. So much for keeping religion out of our laws...
  14. Um not quite. It's already legal in Massachusetts, and it was made legal in California by the state court earlier this year and then banned again this November with the passing of Proposition 8.
  15. Pusi mi kurac.

  16. I'm sure they had extremely intensive searches on every person in that room before they got into the room, and I doubt that anybody carrying a shoe bomb could have got that close to George Bush.
  17. Oh my goodness, no wonder legislation can never actually get passed on this issue The main problem is misinformation. If people stop believing what they want, and take a look at the facts to realize that homosexuality is genetic, then we may finally be able to progress as a society. I have no problem with gay marriage, and I voted this November to keep it legal in California. Unfortunately the proposition to ban gay marriage passed, but that is definitely not the last we've heard of it.
  18. Those were some pretty awesome reflexes on his part, I must admit. But as someone mentioned to me - if I were George Bush in a room full of Arabs/Iraqis, I think I'd be a little jumpy, too
  19. shut it, iKraps!

  20. thats really weird dude... at work the supervisors made this powerpoint slideshow of all the employees and made up a nickname with whichever photo they used. they used that photo and put my nickname as "Hello thar!" :P

  21. ima really gettin angreh now!! ps: schmexy profile image

  22. I'm guessing that this is more common where you live, Urbanoutlaw, but if I saw my neighbor standing on the street with a Dragunov I would surely call the police I don't own any guns (except my biceps, of course), and I would never plan on it. I have absolutely no need to have that sort of thing in my house, and I don't think most people do either.
  23. it's too late... TAKE YOUR FUCKING!

  24. Also instead of creating a shortcut and adding those parameters to the end of the target, you can just make a file called "commandline.txt" to your root Grand Theft Auto IV directory and put the "-norestrictions -nomemrestrict" and whatever else you use in there. That will make it so that you can still launch GTA IV however you want (through the shortcut, through Social Club, etc) and joelzaar, the best way to explain the low textures is... creamy Everything else looks really clear, though, because render quality doesn't take much of a toll on your graphics card. It's the textures that are the hogs.
  25. MOTHERSHITTER YOU DIDN'T EVEN SAY HI TO ME
