These go into the particle.txd inside the models directory. The authors lack of a readme file is bad enough, but what is failed to really explain is the fact that ALL vehicles will have the same neon running lights under them and the same color headlights. So your headlights won't be unique on any one style of car. The neon running lights just replaces the shadows under all the bikes or cars. So ALL the cars will end up with neon lights if you use the mod. Back up the PARTICLE.TXD before making changes. I suggest you use TXD Workshop to import the graphics. JAB

I heard FRAPS is good.

Gang Tags are not a font but an actual graphic or picture you can edit. Download the TXD Workshop and you can export the tags as TGA or BMP images to edit. The file names inside the GTA3.IMG are: TAGS_LAVAGOS.TXD TAGS_LATEMPLE.TXD TAGS_LASEVILLE.TXD TAGS_LAROLLIN.TXD TAGS_LARIFA.TXD TAGS_LAKILO.TXD TAGS_LAFRONT.TXD TAGS_LAAZTECA.TXD TAGS_LALAE.TXD TAGS_LAVAGOS.TXD Each one of these has an Alpha Mask the mask is black and white the white parts show through the black parts are transparent. You just simply export the tag you want to customize or import the tag you have customized. JAB

Well you certainly have graphic talent. But it is not my thing, I mean another person from your country might like these mods. They won't appeal to everyone but like I said you have some talent. JAB

Wonder if Husky's mom sees that. It could get him in more trouble. I'M NOT TRYING TO SUGGEST ANYTHING FOR YOU TO DO, MOM. Well I have nothing. Lesson here is; Never seek family advice on a GTA or other game related forum. JAB Have you tried Dr. Phil? -
i Cant Find Anything To Do What I Want! Please Help ASAP!

I know you can manipulate the IPL files, found in /DATA/MAPS/(subzone) The subzone I am guessing would be the VEGAS or Country folder. Then you will have to look for the file ending with ipl. You can open them with Notepad and then edit the file. You can use the search to find "grge" which is sort for garage. For example in SF/SFS.IPL you will find; grge -2728.53, 212.295, 3.45112, -2716.36, 212.295, -2728.53, 222.669, 8.68705, 1, 5, mds1SFS -2735.46, 60.7331, 3.07005, -2725.82, 60.7331, -2735.46, 72.8828, 7.92155, 1, 1, tbon -2454.02, -131.556, 25.0886, -2442.38, -131.556, -2454.02, -113.935, 29.8006, 1, 42, svgsfs1 end Editing this will make the garage area larger or smaller and even relocate it. The garage name is at the end. JAB -
All the police uniforms are grouped together; LAPD1 (should have been LSPD1 Los Santos not LA) SFPD1 LVPD1 CSHER is County Sheriff DSHER is Deputy LAPDM1 is Motorcycle Cop SWAT FBI ARMY WFYBURG is the Burger Shot woman Some people reading this in the future might need to know that; WFY = White Female Young BMO = Black Male Old Models that start with C, S, V, and L are locations Country, San Feirro, Las Venturas, and Los Santos. For example these models only appear in those locations: SOMOBU = San Feirro Oriental Male Old Business CWFYFR2 = Country White Female Young Farmers The very best search tool is: Ped Viewer and Editor by Scream2k4 While it doesn't edit the models graphically but it does display them nicely. The guy in the yellow chicken suit is not in the player.img it is in the GTA3.IMG it is WMYBELL.TXD all the peds are near the bottom of the file (if you are using the TXD Workshop) but I assume you are using the IMGTOOL to search since that feature doesn't exist in Workshop. JAB

JABhacksoul's GTA Trainer Tutorial Tenpenny's bugs are driving me insane and I read a posting asking how this is done. Since I know how to make trainers I thought this would be a nice break to clear my head. Trainers manipulate the smallest parts of a game. Your score, wanted level or what type of car you have in a certain area. They are not able to make the major changes to the games as mods do. You will need: Trainer Maker Kit - Available on my Filefront Page TSearch - Available on my Filefront Page Optional: San Andreas Ultimate Editor - Available in the Download Section Note: There is an ocx in this program that gives off a false virus warning. Set your anti-virus to ignore the file. After installing all the programs, run TSearch it will look like this; There are many tools here you won't always need or use, but you will need to understand that hexidecimal are numbers that use letters as values. We count 0 - 9 using the decimal system the computer counts 0 - 15 using the hex system and to replace the double digit numbers 10 - 15 it uses A - F so A = 10 and F = 15. So 10 hex = 16 decimal but there are converters in all these apps. Start up GTA SA and then open the process here. A listing showing all the processes your PC is running will appear. Choose GTA_SA.EXE and proceed to the search. I played my SA until I found a drug dealer and beat him up for his gun and money. My cash at this point is 2359 so this is the value I searched for and the program found 47 of this value inside the GTA memory. So I played some more shot a drug dealer in the back of his head and picked up his money. ALT+TAB back to the TSearch. And ran the "Continue Search" with my new value 4365. This time the new value shows up 1 time. The location is B7CE54 hex or 12045908 decimal. I will make a note of the location and test it. (I know this location is incorrect but this is to show you how to find out the hard way.) I test this location with the TSearch by entering a new value and jumping back into GTA SA to see if the money has changed. It went up but rapidly decreased back to the 4365 dollars? So the address is in error how? I did an 8 byte search and that is not large enough to hold that much money, so my address is about 4 bytes too high. I changed the memory value to B7CE50 or 12045904 and punch in the new value and it holds. The little blue smilely will freeze the value in memory and it won't change. Well that was a bit of work to find an address so here is the easy way. Running "San Andreas Ultimate Editor" I click on the |Code Editor| tab at the top. I click on the sub tab set |View Code Values| and then from the listing I expand Player--> Money--> Value and there is the decimal value we got from TSearch and I can use the convertor to get the hex value. Running "Trainer Maker Kit" you will be prompted for a project name and then this will pop open. Looks hard but it is not. Press add button from the toolbar and add some buttons. Add some text also on the same toolbar this will help identify things. Add an edit box to put our value inside. Expand text on the left and click go to properties. In the properties box click on the function tab and choose poke then the value. The money is not a float it doesn't use decimal points. It is an unsigned long integer. The address value is B7CE50 also at this point go to the styles tab and change the default value to 0 or blank it out. Next I change Button1 to the Exit Button like this; Then I changed Button2 to my Help or Info Button. Save your project and make sure it is attached to the GTA_SA.EXE process. You can then test and/or build your trainer. You can make your trainer very flashy with the Trainer Maker Kit. It has bitmap options and sounds etc... But as you can tell my trainer worked just fine and looks like crap. In my opinion there are too many GTA trainers available so go make some for other games while you are at it. Keep it cool, JAB
-
There are many trainer makers available. I will warn you though if you don't study and make certain you have the correct memory address you can do serious damage to your game or make your computer crash or nearby pets start talking in Chinese. I suggest you use: Trainer Maker Kit 1.51 TSearch v1.6 San Andreas Ultimate Editor - Download Section of this site. TSearch will help you find values you want to lock or change. San Andreas Ultimate Editor has many of the values already available for you without searching. TMK is the last thing you use to put all your data into and compile a trainer. Also I would suggest you google some tutorials so you can get a handle on what you are doing. JAB Edit: I didn't care for the download links I gave when I first posted so these files are now available on my Filefront page.

You can edit your popcycle.dat with notepad Default location is \Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\ Traffic intensity can be changed for the different map areas at all times of the day. Make your alteration in column 2 underneath #cars. The value is the maximum amount of spawning vehicles at one time. The format is quite self-explanatory but ask if you need some more help. JAB

http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.ph...st&p=311031 Yo... Jab But this is not my problem I did not replace any thing I just added club1.txd club2.txd club3.txd & club4.txd I was told to ADD and I did it Open one of the txd and peek inside with TXD workshop. See if the name of the TGA or BMP matches one of the cars listed. -OR- Did this come with a car of its own, any DFF model files? Also check out the "Readme.txt" (if any) for instructions about renaming the textures. The most paint jobs any car has in the unmodded game is 3. If you followed instructions and the files are installed proper the next step would be to use a CLEO script to summon the car. That would be much quicker than walking around looking for it. If the car is an ADDED car and not a replacement then I would opt for the replacement, I never had much luck with additional cars. But if this is just paint jobs maybe the author meant for you to magically know to rename them for the car... The lines of CLEO script you would need would be something like this: 04C4: store_coords_to 1@ 2@ 3@ from_actor $PLAYER_ACTOR with_offset 0.0 4.0 0.0 11@ = Car.Create(#URANUS, 1@, 2@, 3@) 06ED: set_car 11@ paintjob 1 Set it up to activate on a keypress and it should spawn your vehicle with paint job. You have them on the original disk. All you do is copy your GTA3.IMG back on the HD.

Figure out what you want the mission to do take your time and I can help. But at the moment I don't feel like I am such a good script writer because my scm mod is so done but I have one or more bugs I am chasing down and they are the kind that give you no clue. They just crash the game. I can play the missions but these are really rare crashes, I have tracked down some. Once you get the idea in writing post it or send it to me in a PM, I will see what I can do. Only 30 minutes until school is out. JAB

That would be a very difficult job, to say the least. I tried starting on a total conversion entitled GTA Manila, but as of now it's still in the planning stages. The only total conversions I can't stand are ones that remake Star Wars Battlefront. I mean if you want that just buy Battlefront. I don't mind someone making a light saber or something like that, heck I made a pod racer for my GTA 3 years ago. But I like to keep the GTA theme. GTA Manila sound interesting. Before I started my mod back in August. I was thinking about my home state of Michigan but that is a lot of map editing. We have just about everything here that is in the SA game from Casinos to Hillbillies. Well the teacher is looking at me funny so I better wrap this up by saying, modding the game is fun but remaking the whole theme I would never go that far. Personal choice I guess. JAB

I think he means "replace" a car not delete. If he deletes it you are 100% correct you will crash the game. JAB

They are located at the very bottom of the list start from the bottom and go up. JAB Dear Bro, PLEASE LOG OFF when you are done using my PC!! Or use the lame one your own in your room. Josh

Nikola Tesla-- greatest inventor of all time
JAB HacksouL replied to MishoM's topic in Members' Lounge
i thought the explosion at Tunguska is a natural phenomenon, they said its an asteroid that crashed on Siberia :/ but i'm not sure though My brother is always talking UFO shit. But some looneys claim it was an attempt by the scientist to broadcast electricity across the north pole. The amount of energy to create a blast like that couldn't be summoned up then or now. Otherwise we would already have deathrays. And I would mount the deathray on the moon and have my own deathstar... -
This is a tutorial I wrote for peds but it works for cars too. Instead of using the ped viewer use GTA Garage Mod Manager to preview. Keep in mind there are on certain cars that allow for paint jobs in GTA. Blade Broadway Camper Elegy Flash Jester Legend Remington Savanna Slamvan Stratum Sultan Tornado Uranus Are the ones I know will allow for 3 different paint jobs. Otherwise the car has to undergo major conversion using one of the commercial 3D editors, like Zmodeler 2 or 3D Studio. It is much easier to make the custom paint job for one of these cars listed above. JAB

[WIP|REL|SA] Las Venturas Software Shop mod
JAB HacksouL replied to Huckleberry Pie's topic in GTASA Modding
Hey, Huck great texture mod you got there. You put a lot into that I can see. As to your moral issues we all have them obviously Chris82 and I have more tollerence for the pornographic aspect of the game. But WHY would you host that on zshare.net? The first download screen is full of porn ads. Since you gave permission to redistribute and are a good friend I posted a copy here on my filefront page ALL games no porn. Let me know when you have a major revision change and I will try my best to keep it up to date. But you should consider getting a free account with them. I use them because they are what I am all about (games) and they are only goofy about videos (I've had a few of mine deleted) not about topic or content just if they sit without someone watching them. I somewhat agree with Chris82, but he must keep an open mind that this game is an extreme example of US crime and culture. Not all cultures around the world share our values or lack of values. It is not like you are marching on R* burning DVDs and protesting. The only type of mods I don't care for is ones that attempt to convert the game into Star Wars Battlefront or some other game "theme". Keep it in the GTA theme is my motto. Yes clearly GTA series is a very mature theme but it in no way represents real life in the US. For example, the first time I saw a strip bar from the outside, I was about 6 or 7 and asked my Dad what the place was next door to our motel with all the pink neon. To a child that looked like the Six Flags theme park we were going to visit. My Dad has always made a point of being 100% honest and said that is a place where truckdrivers stop and pay ladies to dance naked on the tables. I thought that was a silly place and thought nothing more about it. As you can tell my Dad was into budget motels for family trips. I am going to be 17 in a few months, and I have walked the streets of Chicago and Detroit and yes in some of the less desirable areas of those cities. I only saw poverty not crime. Crime is a part of every culture around the world. So trust me when I say, don't believe what you see on YouTube or our movies is our way of life. For the most part life is dull so we spice it up with the games and movies. Again this file can be downloaded: http://files.filefront.com/gtasa+datablitz...;/fileinfo.html -
I'm just picking on you Sherman.

ToonSkull for the most knowledgeable on GTA SA? For those of you who are unaware of this he is my younger brother, who hasn't even finished playing the game! He gets bored playing the game. I can't imagine why XLR8 nominated a complete noob like my brother. He only knows anything about the game from what he views while I am playing it. When I saw him nominated as the biggest geek I was like saying, "Yes, that's him for sure." but I got to XLR8's nomination and almost fell off my chair. Well that sure made me laugh. I posted some of my picks for 2008 and I might not be the best person to ask since I only started here back in August. JAB

Working on it people! :'( Unfortunately this kind of bug is the hard to find because the code compiles just fine and the game never crashes in the same place but it is definitely in my fire support. So until I know better this could take some time. Was hoping to come here tonight and tell you that it was ready to download. JAB
